Anamatar IV

Your eyes do not decieve you: Galdor has challenged Anamatar to a one on one fight! Dagor Calimmacil: the battle of the swords of light. This fight is just a fight: nothing more. It won't be held in future reverence (aside from between Galdor and I:p)
Before we start Galdor and I will post the weapon (ONE) we will use and the armor we will use as well.
Anamatar:
Sword: Narmacil--Sword of Fire
Mithril coat of mail
And Galdor, I hope you use the weapon I want you to....why would I name this thread likewise if you didn't?:D

Just to clear thing up, Anamatar started this, not Galdor.;)
Prince Galdor Elvėa - Sandaórė:
Sword: Aicanįro - Sharp Flame
Armor: Mithril coat of mail

Anamatar stepped into the soft grasses. It was a still day and clouds hung in the air. The sounds of a nearby river grew loud. Storm would come soon. But not yet and that is what gave hope to these two friends.
"Galdor," Anamatar said as he drew his sword. He shone with a faint white light though Anamatar knew not why, for only with spirits of Morgoth out of the depths of Utumno were near would his sword glow. Maybe it just lusted to burn Galdor's sword black with its light as fire.
Anamatar gripped his sword's hilt with both hands. At that moment a horrifying crash of thunder was heard and the darkened day was lit up by a flash of white light. Rain drops started to fall.
"The storms will rage overhead when Aicanįro Nįrmacil do battle, friend," Anamatar spoke as the rains picked up. He pointed his sword and charged towards Galdor but stopped short suddenly as he saw Galdor put his sword up in defence.
Anamatar would wait for Galdor to make the first move.

Galdor glanced up at the dark sky, and then back to Anamatar.
"Nice day for a duel, don't you think? A might bit dark though."
Aicanįro began to glow with a pale light, bright enough for the two to see, but not so bright as to empare their vision. Suddenly, and without warning Galdor dropped to his knees, and sent his sword streaking for Anamatar's legs.

Galdor was too quick. Anamatar hadn't time to get out of the way. He stabbed down with his own sword in hope of deflecting Galdor's but was too late.
As Anamatar's sword stabbed down into Galdor's, the Elf's sword cut into the top of the boot of Anamatar. He stifled a cry of pain as black blood oozed from his boot.
Anamatar took his wound heartily. He rose steadily and looked at Galdor austerely. Without a moment's hesitation he ran at Galdor with his sword pointed at his breast.
But at the last moment, when Galdor had reacted to Anamatar's initial "attack" Anamatar retracted his sword and swung it heavily at Galdor's sword arm.
A strong wind blew and the rain came down even harder.

Galdor dropped to one knee and swiveled so that he was facing Anamatar's sword and placed his sword in front of him to block the blow. The force of Anamatar's blow though knocked Galdor to his back, but it also threw Anamatar off balance just long enough for Galdor to return to his feet. But no sooner has he done so than Anamatar charged again, forcing Galdor to take the defensive.

Anamatar charged at Galdor an pointed his sword to Galdor's sword arm's wrist. The Elf quickly took his hand out of the way but the keen blade of Anamatar slit the skin of Galdor's upper wrist. Galdor cringed quietly but soon tossed the wound aside. It hurt him no longer.
Anamatar and Galdor stood. They looked at eachother solemly as each stained the ground upon which they walked with their dark blood. Large pools of mud appeared on the soaking grass. The competitors heeded these not. The rain had weighed down the opponents hauberks. Moving became heavy.
The fighters charged at eachother as fast as they could what with the heavy cloaks and armor and the soft turf. They clashed swords three times and retreated each to where they had been before. Anamatar walked slowly towards Galdor. Without a warnings notice he swung his sword to Galdor's ribs on the right side. Despite his mithril coat. Anamatar intended to use his sword as a "concussion weapon" against Galdor in this occasion.

The storm howled louder. A voice seemed to come out of the sky.
"Galdor, should you not continue your fight between Anamatar and yourself in three days (we see you're active;)) it shall be reckoned a FORFEIT. Thus Manwe speaks!(;))"

Galdor tried to dodge Anamatar's blow, but the sword still slammed hard into his side, throwing backwards to the ground. He painfully stood back to his feet, raseing his sword imeadeatly to defend against Anamatar's onslaught.
The two warriors fought on, their heavy boots digger ever deeping into the mud as the rain poured down harder as the day faded.

Anamatar stumbled backwards at the last in the thickening mud, his cloaks getting stained with black water. Galdor charged down upon the man with sword raised high. But as Galdor drove his sword downward into the stomach of Anamatar, the man thrust his sword up with his last remaining strength. Both swords pierced the other and they collapsed side by side, breathing heavily, with the rain pouring on.

Galdor pulled himself slowely to his feet, leaning heavily on his blood covered sword, his hand clutched over the wound in his side, The muddy ground was covered in puddles and blood and water, and the rain started to turn to hail.
"For the sake of keeping this fight as fair as possible I will refrain from healing myself as I could. But I fear neither of us will be able to fight too much longer with such wounds. I suggest we call this fight a draw. Unless of course you wish still to fight?"
