Is it, i mean will people get more worked up if they dont see a trailer? I sure will, but what about the rest if you?

I will go and see ROTK lots of times, no matter if there's a trailer or not. Actually they loose moeny on me, because if there was a trailer attached to TTT I would go to see it again just to see the trailer, but now I'll wait for the DVD.

I am a little peeved. I wish PJ, New Line or someone in the know would have made such an announcement in late December or January, and I could have gone back to see TTT. As it was, I was waiting for news of the preview and missed my chance to see TTT on the bigscreen one last time. It is now no longer showing on any theater screen within 60 miles of my home. :(

Hmm... I'm not sure... I think that I reaaally would've liked to see a trailer only because I want to see how they had made atleast some of the scenes. I also don't think that they will bring in ALL of the people they had before. Yea, they'll have the die-hard Tolkien fans (like moi) and then they had the other people who just went to see it because it was a movie that they had seen the trailer to and it looked kewl. I know that I snaged a couple of people into seeing it only because they saw the trailer...

All in all, I think that not having a trailer will lose a few people, but not me!

I think that trailers should be re-named to 'teasers'

They do however...do what they are supposed to do!

create interest!

Well, it doesn't really matter to me whether there's a trailer or not. I'll just download it and watch it on my computer anyways.:D
Besides, I've already read the books, so I know what'll (or at least what should) happen.;)

Trailers, who needs 'em? I'm going to see ROTK even if the trailer has Phillis Diller as Ioreth. I have invested too much of my life in these stories to be worried about a trailer.
And another thing, why do DVD's always include trailers as special features? Whats special about watching an advertisement for the movie you've just seen? Are they all mad??!!

...and Gollum as "Fang!"

I hope I don't see a trailer for ROTK...my anticipation is that high! Not that I'll be let down if it doesn't live up to my expectations, but I just want it to be a total surprise. I think if I was in the theater this summer, say, and the trailer came on, I might not look at it, funny as that may sound. That's what I think right now, anyway. I just think it's going to be incredible. I'm going so far as to avoid seeing still photos of scenes that will be in the film. And that's also why I haven't been in this part of the Forum too much! But I think a lot of people will want to see the trailer, as you've heard many people on the Forum say.
