OMGosh, i just found this out and thought that i would share it with all my fellow TTF members. They are making The Hobbit into a movie. Though it is scheduled to be released December 19, 2006. Here's a little something to get the fanboy in you all tingly. lthanfilm.com has cut together scenes from FOTR and Dragonslayer (thanks to everyone that wrote in!- Xo) into a 'Hobbit' movie trailer starring Ian McKellen, Ian Holm, Andy Serkis and of course, Smaug. Hey, a fanboy can dream can't he?

It's not for real. No studio ever announces release dates 3 and a half years in advance, and besides- this would be the single biggest entertainment news item of the week, and there hasn't been a whisper about this in the press.

If they were making "The Hobbit" into a film, the media would tell people of it. I haven't heard anything. It's probably false information....
