[Anamatar IV]

OOC: This is an idea that I have been working on for a while. It is here that (in character) you guys will sign up for extra curricular activities. The first person who signs up for an activity is the organizer/captain/leader of that activity. That person opens the thread for the activity when they see there are enough members for it. So this is just the thread to sign up for the stuff. Students AND TRAINERS can sign up for this stuff.
You can be in more than one. Unlimited amount.
And if you have an activity that you don't see listed pm me with it. You will automatically be the leader of that group if so be your wish.

IC:

Dozens of booths were set up. Banners of activity names were set up above each of them. This was the day the students of Heren Istarion (and trainers) were waiting for. The day when they could choose their activities.

A middle earth debate team (just debates about middle earth stuff....current IC stuff AND/OR middle earth stuff from the books)

The Dorm association: organizes parties, parades, and decorates the dorms/campus.

If you are one of these clubs, make it your goal to have a performace! Concerts, plays, tournaments (in HI or with other schools....pretend there are some;)), art shows, debates. And I will ask the trainers to NOT be the leaders of a group unless it has gone 3 days without a member.:)

Sarin strode through the booths looking at all of the clubs in silence. He paused by one of the booths signing himself up as Leader for the Tournament team. Then he signed himself up for simple membership positions in the Debate, Sculpture, and Drama clubs.

I didn't make myself clear for the trainers.:(

I'm not stopping you from signing up for activities, trainers, I would just rather have the students have the chance to be the LEADER before we do. So you can sign up for some things to do, trainers, just you can't be the leader of it until three days have passed without someone claiming leadership.

IC:

Ingolemo walked among the students and trainers searching for the right activities. With his best quill he signed up for the following:

A membership role of the Drama club
A membership role of the debate team

[Charmiana loved acting and so immediatly signed up. Actually acting was what had given her the idea for taking up assassination...she felt her skills would be useful in close-up work. That was beside the point. Charmaina wanted to talk to Anamatar about a club of singers...ahwell. Maybe later she thought. Now it was time to act!!!!

Celebrien signed his name on the dotted line for the Tournament Group.

Charmiana knew she should not sign up for too much but she could not resist signing up for Tournament group...i should not sign up for anything else...of course Horses looks so interesting...

Chokang quickly jotted down his name for the Dorm Association, and for the stage crew.

Phenix walked among teh booths, he had already signed up as a leader for the dorm association and was now looking for something els ti do, it woul be boring only to have one activity. at last he desided to choose the turnament club. he also walked over to the band where he saw some friednd and joined

Lita had almost walked by the activity booths before she noticed them. She whipped her head around, pivoted on her heel, and hurried back to the booths. The hobbit looked up and down the row of booths, thinking about each activity. Finally she signed up for Tournament Team because I just can't resist thought Lita with a smile, and for Drama club because it could come in handy, she thought.

Ewen strode through the booths, marvelling at all the activities she can take part in. She stopped at the drama club booth, and signed up. She always enjoyed drama. Before she left she also signed up for the dorm comittee. She thought of the parties she can be a part of, and she smiled.

Valanthe plodded along, looking at all the booths as she passed. She wasn't sure what to sign up for. After looking through all of the options, she signed up for:

Since I have gradutated from HI classes, I would like to start a Dwarven RPing class. Students will learn how to think and act like Dwarves, and I will instruct them how to do so. Some topics may include: RPing using gemstone comparisons, or how to RP under the earth. I think if people are to be a Dwarf in RPG's they should post like one, as Dwarves do not compare a lovely woman to "a great flower of the Valar", they would instead compare her face to the "most beautiful diamond in all of Erebor."

Well, Dain, I have no objection to that but that isn't what this thread is for: this is for extra curricular activities that take place on campus. It gives Heren Istarion a more original and a more campus like feel. So, yeah, you can start that thread if so be your wish.

Celebrian Tiwele walked up to the booths and examined each one. She saw the horseback riding one and quickly signed up for that. "One of the things I'm better at," she thought.

Canaleo wandered around the booths for quite some time before he finally decided to sign up for the debate team....after signing himself he started to look around for some people to talk with.

Celebrian Tiwele walked up to Canaleo. "Hello. Aren't you one of the trainers?" she asked gravely. She looked around, wondering if the activities would start soon.

Goldie grabs a piece of poster-board and writes "JOIN THE HORSEBACK TEAM" in huge letters on it and hangs it next to the signup table. Glancing at Anamatar, who was looking at her questioningly, she said, "I dont have enough members!"

"I shall join the horse back team if I may goldie"she said waiting for an answer.

Goldie grined. "Of course you may! Just sign up at that table over there," She replied, grinning. Goldie began formulating ideas for drill teams and shows in her mind, at the same time thinking up ideas for plays.

"Hello. I was thinking of starting up Hatha. It is Hatha Yoga, yet I just call it Hatha. It is where you can come to relax, and work on flexibility. If anyone wants to come, you can come and try out a lesson, or you can join. The first few lessons will be mainly relaxing, and not much stretching." She then smiled, and went off, for she still had to find a nice, foresty, shady, flat place. Her hunt would be hard, but she knew that she could do it.
OCC: This class will start Saturday (April 5) evening. Do I just start up a thread, or does someone do it for me? Because I thought that I would open the thread early, and if anyone had any questions, they could come before the first lesson.
