Tattoos?

I have one. It's of an Angel/Devil upon my chest. The two are arm in arm, winking at each other.

The Devil has a pitch-fork and horns/tail. The Angel has a halo and a cross. Both have wings. The Devil is red/black. The Angel is white/blue with a gold halo. I like it!
I had a tat burned off (on purpose!) because it was stupid-looking. I was 15 when I got that one. It's gone now, mostly.
Expensive lesson-->don't get tattoos that are too big, or at a young age!

I don't have tattoos myself, but I like them on other people. Well, not always, a small one is okay, but people who are tattooed all over their bodies are crazy IMO.

I think the right tattoo on the right spot on the right girl is absolutely SEXY! One girl I know has a Betty Boop tat on her thigh, that is....nice looking.

I like small tats on girls bodies, the best places are...
Close to the belly-button;
The lower back (small tattoos!);
Thighs;
And ankles....

I can appreciate a well done and artistically appealing tattoo. If the tattoo really reflects who you are...and is visually appealing...I say go for it!

So many of my friends seem to have tattoos now it doesn't seem quite as cool anyway. A bit too generic. However one friend desinged her own tattoo and got it done. Now, I think that's really cool, it's just so individual.
I've only just had my ears pierced (at 20!) so I don't think I could out up with the pain of getting a tattoo. Ouch!:eek:

yeah, I'm afraid I don't like them much either. But the desgning your own one sounds a bit more respectable, one of the bar staff down my local pub has got one of his friends (who does art) to design him one, which would be cool if it wasn't a scary S&M angel... haha.

But anyway, yeah, I have a question, since it was mentioned earlier, tatoo on the small of your back?? Whats the point? You can't see it! Surely the whole point is cos you like the artwork, but if you have it there it must purely be to show off about having one done.

I have a lizard on my left forearm - symbolizing the ability to adapt to many environments.

I have a skull with pink flames on my left calf, symbolizing evil yet girlie.


and i plan on getting the irish flag and a symbol of my nationality and pride. YAY and more.. but i'm poor

I don't have a tattoo. I know myself well enought to know that I'd get sick of whatever I picked and regret it since it was permanent.

I hate most things permanent. ;)

But I do have a bellybutton ring, and my left ear cartilage pierced.

LOL That's sounds kinda technical. I had to go check on the meaning of a couple of those Losse!

So septum = middle of the nose... so your nose one was on one side, right? (BTW one definition from dictionary.com said a septum was: 'a partition or wall especially in an ovary' - that gave me the creeps!)

But whats the difference between a lip piercing and a labret?

I'm intrigued by all this. Us orcs have a fascination with stabbing metal into people's bodys. Granted its usually larger bits of metal than this and not for aesthetic purposes.:rolleyes:

Dude, are you saying that the angel tat I have is a sign for S&M? And that your friend up the pub designed? It's on my chest! Whoa...that's a bit scary.
My tat signifies the good/evil inside me (inside my chest is my heart) also that me and my twin sis are like that, I was the evil twin, she was the good one growing up, and we were alwys in cahoots! Funny how I always got in trouble though.

I'm thinking up a new tat for this year. Possibly the earth with a yellow PEACE wrapped around it! Somewhere...I dunno!

the septum is the space inbetween the nostrils. like a bull thingy but smaller and cuter... and the middle lip is pierced right at the lip line, and normally a hoop whereas the labret is a stud type that is pierced in between the chin and the lip. :D

but yea i'd usually have a little combination.. midlip and nose, sidelip and labret, septum and eyebrow..... never more then 2 at the same time (other then my industrial which has been around forever lol well 4 years...)

I don't have any tattoos, but I walked around all day with a sassy pirate stick-on tattoo and I kind of liked it, so perhaps. What I'd really like is branding. That seems a lot more interesting. My friend and I are going to a place later this week to look into it.

Have you ever looked at the tattoos on old mens' arms, poking through the grey hairs? All the less stable colours disappear and only blue is left, and that gets blurred so that what was fine detail just looks like a smudge. Think ahead!

I'll PROBABLY never get a tattoo.
But if I did I've decided it would be a small star...probably on my hip. Nobody will see it that way if it starts to look naff after I get shrivelly.

And as for piercings I can't decide what to do next. I want to do something.

I think that the (small) nose rings are pretty kewl. But, one of my friends got one and it got all infected and it was gross!

I think tattoos are pretty cool, if you get one that is designed kewl. I think I may get a small fairy and the bottom of my back. I saw some pretty kewl one's in a store we have downtown. A lot of people here have a lot of their body tattooed. It's kind of gross. :p

Hmm...what makes a piercing prone to infection...
Are some people more likely to get it than others?

My belly button got infected...but that's cos those piercings are the most likely to do that.

What I don't want is my nose piercing to sort of rip it's way out like my friend's eyebrow ring did....

And then I'd have a scar. Cos I rather like my nose.

But I thought that maybe a small one...very small would be cute. :)

They'd all look good, but the nose would be easier and less risky. The eyebrows have to be done properly or they can get infected, grow out and leave horrible scars. The one on the side of the nose however, I've never heard of a case of it getting badly infected or growing out. If you care for it everyday, then it's going to be fine, it's a fairly easy one.
Why not just get a braclet or something though? Seems a lot cheaper.

Nose piercings are not something I like in general either, except for the little silver dot - that's just beautiful. And I like eyebrow pierceings too.

Oh yes and I approve of tattoes though I doubt I'd get one myself because my taste changes and it's highly likely I'd be unhappy with anything in a few years.

Not really good of me :( i only accept coz i have to :o i really cant stand things like that :( like piercings on your face and tattoos, i dont see the need and they make beautiful women less beautiful :(.

I've tryed a lot, just tell her that she will be stuck with it for life (its like a bad hair-cut for life) and if they do want it to be removed, then its like $10,000 (£7,500) for lazer surgury to get rid of it and that leaves a hidious scar in its place. . .
