RPG #? ---> Being Blue In A World Of Grey

Hi. I am the staff of the blue wizard Pallando. You know what's crazy? Here I am, hanging out with Alatar and Pallando, having all kinds of fun with these Easterling people and their cult for us, when all of a sudden, we get word that some defeated war hero is coming back from something called the War of the Ring. Well, we were all ready to greet the guy, but our faithful followers warned us to flee since it turns out that the guy isn't a fan of ours. Go figure. Something about him being a little bitter about getting beat. I guess he wanted to make sure that he was in charge over here and felt like he had to eliminate the competition.

So with all of our followers pushing us away, we left peacefully. Some Entwives came with us. Something about wanting to see the Ents again. Anyways, since we didn't know the danger we were in at the time, we weren't exactly running full tilt when the first of this guy's remaining army caught us for him. We learned that the guy felt like killing us. Something about finding out how dangerous wizards can be while he was at the war.

The Entwives helped us escape and we went running for Radagast, since the last time we heard, he had a house up in the northern part of some forest called Greenwood the Great. Yikes! I've never been chased before! I wouldn't recommend it. Not very fun.

Huh. I wonder what wizard freaked that guy out so much!

OOC: Okay, while the wizards and the Entwives head for Radagast's place, there's also a group of Ent-friendly elves heading out to search for the Entwives one last time. I'm sure that the two groups will find each other some time. Or will they find the Easterling army first? *ominous music in the background*

Charmiana had joined a small band of elves in a hunt for the missing ent-wives...this would probably be the last hunt since all the others had been so unsuccessful. It was sad the ents were dying out since without the entwives they could not exactly repreduce. Even the ents that were alive were slowing down, this was an incredible task considering how slow ents were to startoutwith---maybe I am just hasty she thought as the band rode away from Rivendell.

*Astaldolosswen along with Charmiana and her horse Vanya Ninquë, went along on the hunt for the ent-wives as well. the ents needed to reproduce so they could keep all the trees in line so every time someone went in, they would not be killed or get lost, like they would in the old forest.*

Liv was in the elf group riding her horse Sky Dancer.

"Charminiana, maybe we should split up and search in two groups? it would be faster. i think that it might be wiser to. but you're the leader and I am under your command."

*hearing what Liv said, she said* "I think it best that we stay together in a group. Who knows what still lurks in the dark places of Middle-Earth."

Haldëana traveled silently, feeling inside her the grief of the Ents and longing desperately for her quest to be fulfilled. Ahead of her, Charmiana and Liv spoke in low voices, but Haldëana made no move to join in their conversation.

Their group was small, for few of their people had wanted to go off into the far corners of Middle-Earth after a group of dying tree-herders. Haldëana had agreed readily to the quest, for she had spent many years in the Forest of Fangorn and learned much from the Ents therein.

Their sorrow was not new to her - from the start, she had known of the Entwives and their sundering from the Ents. Now she wished only to help them reconcile with each other, that the ancient race of tree-herders might not utterly die.

[ms Greenleaf]

"I do not think there is enough of us for our group to split up...there are a great number of parels...should our group inlargen we shall split up and then so as was said before improve our chances." Charmiana did not like the idea of splitting up just yet. It seemed that many of these elves were young for elves anyway.

OOC* how many people are in our group? i never caught wind of that. and who are they so i can write it down. plus tell me all the other chacters and tell me what if u are good guy or bad guy. race, sex. and anything else. thanx

IC* "I agree now that i see how many elves there are. Hopefully our group will inlargen. What is up with Haldeana?"

*The superly-defeated Easterling dude ((who as far as I know still doesn't have a name)) is angered at his sorry showing of an army for being beaten by a bunch of trees...*

*in his extremely disgruntled and angered voice*
"Trees! TREES! And they were GIRLS!" ((no offence IRL!))
*he sighs heavily and looks around his frightened ((are they?)) troops.*
"No more whimpering! He will know our wrath!"
*and so they set off again...*

"It is very interesting how you put that we are to IN largen so we can OUT largen... well let us continue for now..."

Meanwhile...in a meadow a group of entwives are caring for a small patch of flowers... "It seems to me, that these patches are getting smaller and smaller..." said an entwife that rather resembled a willow. "You know in mnay ways I miss my boyfriend back home he might persuade me to come back...if he bothered to find me." She stopped because she heard a rustle in a grove of trees nearby.

[YayGollum]

*if any of the elves had been paying attention to the sky, they would have noticed a giant eagle framed in the sun for a while until the thing suddenly landed heavily in front of them, just as it opens it's mouth to say something, a short Beorning with a raven perched on his shoulder rides up on a white horse to interrupt him* "Oh, stop trying to impress people with your lousy entrances Knockondor!"

*the giant eagle turns around to glare (if eagles can glare) at the Beorning* "What do you know? I'm always scaring rabbits that way!"

"Yeah, but they always spot you so early that they have plenty of time to get away." to the group of elves ---> "Hi, there. I'm Truor. That's Knockondor." *motions to his horse, then the raven* "This is Anthrax and this is Shadowflaps. It's nice meeting anyone on a trail this far from home. Mind if I ask why you all look so concerned about something? Maybe I can help?"

*the raven squawks into his ear until he waves it away, even though it comes right back* "Shush, Shadowflaps! My name is Truor. I don't have to toss titles around."

Hello. my name is Liv. *She motions towards two other elves* this is Charmiana and Haldeana.

We have been searching for the entwives. have you seen any? or heard anything aboout them?

Also this is Sky Dancer my horse.

"Entwives? I think I've heard of them. Never seen one, though. Do you have any idea where you're going to look for them, or are you just hoping someone else knows where to look?"

Knockondor ---> "What's an Entwife?"

[ms Greenleaf]

"Well in many ways an entwife is like a female tree which walks around adoring flowers. Now my turn, why are you here? You may join us once you have answered this question, if your answer is to my liking. For I do not like being followed and that is something you may have been doing."
She drew her sword with one swift silent and deadly graceful movement.

[YayGollum]

*Truor involuntarily backs up and raises his shield a little, Shadowflaps jumps and gets ready to fly off if he needs to, Anthrax positions himself in front of Truor, and Knockondor jumps into the air where he tries to look menacing while staying out of the way* Truor ---> "And people wonder why I don't like elves! You haven't been paying attention, have you? Charmiana, was it? I just offered to help and you try to scare me with a sword? I don't follow elves around for no good reason. I do like to help fellow adventurers such as yourselves, though. Is there something wrong with that?" :confused:

[ms Greenleaf]

"I am sorry though I do have reason to be wary." she pulled back her sword. "Your reaction was unuasual is all, why do you offer to help us when you know so little of us. A time long ago I would have accepted your help with no questions asked. But we are not in so pleasant a time. You have my appolagy."

[YayGollum]

*all of my characters relax, Knockondor glides around and lands next to one of the other elves, looking at her as if he expects to be bowed to or something, Truor turns from the elves and mounts Anthrax* "Well, there's been no harm done. I guess I'm just a nice guy. I see you looking concerned about something, so I naturally see if I can help. Let's see here. Female trees walking around and adoring flowers. I've never seen that before! I could take you to the vale of Anduin and ask the Crebain to look for your Entwife friends. Shadowflaps here used to be one of them." *the raven tries to look like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread*

*Liv looks at Charmiana and Haldeana and speaks to them* Should we trust this stranger? he looks and seems harmless but we can't really trust anyone till we get to know them. Have you ever heard of these Crebain? I think at one point as a child I have heard of them.

[ms Greenleaf]

"You are right we should get to know them before we trust them, but I think I also remember this name by which they refer...though it has been lost and mistified into legend. Many things are now lost but that is besides the point. Watch them carefully but they may travel with us."

You may join us if it does so please you...though I still do not understand why.

*Knockondor decides that whatever elf he was next to is too boring for him and starts hopping to keep up when the group heads out (Yes, I kind of assumed that, didn't I? oh well.), since it was never said that you elves were whispering or anything, I'll say that Shadowflaps heard what you said about the Crebain, he starts squawking at Truor about it*

Truor ---> "Oh, yeah?" to the elves ---> "I'm sorry. The Crebain are a group of ravens. Friends of the wizard Radagast. Shadowflaps here was one of their spies at one time. He still thinks he's the greatest. Crazy bird!" *Shadowflaps pecks at Truor's helmet, but he ignores him* "Anyways, I have no problem with heading back to the vale of Anduin. That's my home."

If Anduin is your home then what are you doing so far away. It might not be to safe ya know. I had heard of the Crebain when I was a child. But only in stories.




OOC- ok why hasn't Haldeana been saying a SINGLE word while this happenes? I keep trying to include her but she ain't doing anything. Is she still in the RP?

OOC: Okay, okay, I'm shaping up. I just had to write the research paper of my LIFE, it was horrible, but now I'm coming back. And I've been feeling guilty about this RP because Yay keeps trying to prod me into starting Alatar. But I'm waiting for Goldie. . .so. . .anyway, I have to go practice but I'll post something for Haldëana tonight. Check back, this post will be edited and IC and appropriate.

Truor, to the elf lady that's talking to him ---> "I am a wanderer. I have travelled all over Middle Earth and I know by now what's dangerous and what's not. I've been on this road a few times and it's usually not too bad. The Misty Mountains are worse. Luckily, I have a giant eagle for a friend." *Knockondor puffs his chest out with all kinds of pride* "Well, it sounds like you all remember the Crebain fondly. They can be very useful. I don't think they'll have much trouble in finding a bunch of walking, talking tree women. Let's move on, then."

[Ruveriel]

You will lead us to the Crebain. but it is getting late and we are going to camp here for the night. *She walks over to a tree and lets Sky Dancer rest there. The walks over to Charmiana*
"I would like to speak to you alone." *They walk over by some trees* "I think that Haldeana is being very quite for a elf. She hasn't said a SINGLE word since we have started our journey. Also I trust Truor. He seems very kind, and honest. I am going to ask him to join our company since we are very same. The more eyes we have the better." *Liv leaves and walks over to Truor* "I would like you to join our company. You could be very helpful to us. I am very fond of the Crebain even though I have only heard about it as a child."

[YayGollum]

*Truor's group gets settled down for the night, Knockondor and Shadowflaps take to the trees, Truor lays out hid bedroll close to Anthrax, then he starts trying to start a fire* when the lady talks to him ---> "Of course I'll join your group! I already asked if I could help, didn't I? Sure, I'll lead you to the vale of Anduin. The Crebain live with the wizard Radagast in northern Mirkwood, but some of them stay with us Beornings. Now, who wants one of my honey cakes?" *holds up some of the superly yummiful Beorning specialties* :D

Liv says, "I will take one."*She takes her cake and goes over to Sky Dancer and starts a fire.* Then says, "I will take the first watch for the night. I will wake someone when I get tired. We will leave here at dusk. So get some shut I." *She walks over to Sky Dancer and gets on his back and rides off to scout out the area. While she is looking around she finds a stream and fills her bottle and lets Sky Dancer get a drink. then rides back to the camp site and wakes Truor.* "Everything is fine but I need some rest wake me or one of the others if you need anything." *Smiles then walks over to her bedroll and Sky Dancer and slips into a light sleep.*

OOC- where are the wizads and the entwives at? they haven't even started have they? And we still have no Haldeana:(

Meanwhile off in some distant forest the entwives are discussing their husbands. They are almost meloncholic in their speach. Even their delightful flowers no longer amuse them. "You know one Entwife whispered to her neighboring friend "We could just go back and see them again,"

"What without them coming searching for us... do you think me an unromantic fool... you should be ashamed of yourself." Absentmidedly she started weeding around a red rose...

OOC: Okay, okay! You can stop it with your not-so-subtle hints! I just can't think of anything to SAY. . .*whines*

IC:

Haldëana awoke in the midst of the night, greatly troubled. The Beorning who had joined them in the daytime sat, looking sleepily into the fire. Noiselessly the Elf-maiden stood and slipped into the cover of the nearby trees.

For a short time she ran into the forest, until she came upon a small clearing awash with moonlight. Here she sat, listening to the low, whispering voices of the trees around her.

That day she had spent withdrawn into herself, not wanting to join in on the conversation of the others. She had kept alert to sound, and sight, and smells of the forest, the heartbreak of the Ents' ever in her mind. Now she listened to the night voices, and still she heard nothing of the ways of the Entwives.

After an hour she rose and slipped back into the encampment, where she found the Beorning still at his watch.

"I will take the watch for you," she said softly, and her voice was low and musical in the night stillness.

OOC: Um, yeah, about the wizards. They. . .they havne't felt like coming in yet. They think it would be more dramatic if they, er, waited. (They wanted me to tell you that).

OOC: Got it. I can PM the Goldberry344 person.

IC: *Truor looks up at the lady, nods, and wanders off to have fun in bear form*

*Knockondor stirs in his sleep when he hears people talking* "Wassat? Shush, people! The greatest eagle of all time is trying to sleep up here!"

OOC- ok we have Haldeana:)*so happy* darn wizards lol:D now we're are getting somewhere!!

IC-Liv woke before dawn and got the fire going again. *and saw Haldeana and walked over to her.*"Just me being my courious self are to sad? You look like it. I think you would feel better if you talked to someone about it. why don't you ride by me today and if you want you can talk about it. but it's your choice."*then getting up Liv starts to wake everyone up*"time for a QUICK breakfast then we are off."*Liv eats a little then gets on Sky Dancer.*

Haldëana swung silently astride the golden mare Aháriel, and rode up level with Liv.

"Indeed, there is sorrow in my heart," she murmured when she had drawan near to the other Elf. "Long have I dwelt in the dense Forest of Fangorn, until the ways of the Ents have become almost my own. It is their grief, now, which pains me."

She looked searchingly through the forest about them. "Yet also I feel uneasy within myself," she said softly. "This is no light-hearted undertaking on which we journey now. I fear that, ere we reach our goal, we shall find trouble."

[YayGollum]

*Truor comes back from whereever he was and mounts Anthrax, Shadowflaps perches on his shoulder plate again and Knockondor hops and glides to keep up with the horses, since the group was so close to Rivendell, they run into the Misty Mountains after a while* Truor ---> "Well, here we are! I've travelled through this pass I don't know how many times. It's usually safe with Knockondor here. Phew! He loves those goblins!" *Knockondor makes a show of preening himself*

[Ruveriel]

*To Haldeana*"I understand your grief. If I were that close to the ents. I was close but it sounds like you were even closer," says Liv solemly. "For I have to felt this grief and I sense danger very near. I don't think that it is goblins either!"
*To everyone in the party*"I think that we should get off the road!!! Quickly I sense danger. Knockondor fly and look around. I will go and look around with Sky Dancer. Haldeana come with me it will be much faster! Make sure that you cover your tracks!"* Liv turns Sky Dancer on his hauches and flees looking to see if her sense are telling the truth.*
OOC- I am sorry but I had to get some action in:) hope no minds!! Haldeana made me decide that I should from what she said to my chacter.

OOC: Oh yeah, Liv, blame it on the quiet one ;)

IC:

With a soft whisper of command Haldëana urged Aháriel after Liv, leaning in and grasping the mare's golden mane.

"What is it you see?" she called as she drew level with Liv, who was gazing intently at the horizon.

[YayGollum]

OOC: Yes, I'd like to know what she sees, too. Knockondor would have been able to. oh well.

IC: *as soon as the elves start acting nervous for some reason, Anthrax struggles to keep up with their horses and Truor smacks Knockondor, who wasn't paying attention, the eagle tosses a glare and jumps into the air to look around* Truor ---> "What's going on, ladies? You're getting Anthrax all worked up for no good reason."

IC-"Look on the horizen. Do you see Goblins and Wargs together?I am pretty sure that it is Goblins and Wargs. If my eyes aren't failing me. I think that they have been following our tracks and were planning to kill us."* She stops by a tree and notches a arrow into her bow. Ready to kill the Goblins and wargs.* "Truor go worn the others that Goblins and wargs are on our trail and that they should be ready to battle if needed."*Then turns to Haldeana*"Find a place for you and Ahariel to take cover to battle, just in case. Maybe they aren't after us and they are going somewhere that we should know about."

In a single fluid movement, Haldëana drew forth her mallorn-bow, her fingers caressing the familiar shape. As the Warg-riders drew nearer she slipped an arrow from the quiver she wore and held it at the ready.

Aháriel shifted uneasily as the cloud of dust signaling the approaching Orcs closed the gap, and Haldëana whispered a soft word of comfort. Then she straightened, the wind picking at her cloak, her grey eyes flaming with a blue fire.

When the Wargs had come full into view she loosed an arrow from her bow, silently urging it to travel swiftly and find its mark.

The arrow flew true and, as the small company watched, the first approaching Orc fell from the back of his steed with a strangled cry, caught on the wind and carried to the ears of the Elves.

[YayGollum]

Truor ---> "Oh, I guess that is a good reason. Well, if they weren't after us before, they will be now." *Truor jumps off of Anthrax and gets his crossbow ready*

*Knockondor flies ahead and grabs goblins off their Wargs so he can toss them at other goblins and eat them later, a few goblins start shooting arrows at him, so he flies back to hide behind the group* "They have arrows! Get the archers first! Yikes!"

OOC: Anybody got a number of opponents for me?

OOC- ok for the number since that they are Wargs, Goblins and Orcs. Lets make them into a small group sound good? I say about 24 all together.
IC-Liv releases her string from her hand. The arrow hit her mark. Then she notches another and hits the groups leader. Then shoots again.

Haldëana nodded in response to Liv's statement and sent another arrow into the tight group of Orcs. As the marauders neared, she let her arrows fly more swiftly, each finding its mark.

OOC: What is the bundle? (Haldëana wishes to inquire on this fact, because she doesn't like being held back from anything and demands an explanation.)

*Truor backs up as the Wargs get closer, Anthrax steps back to stand between him and the enemies, Knockondor sees that the elves are planning on sticking around and shooting instead of protecting him, so he flies way too superly high for the goblins to shoot at him and makes his way to the back of the charging Wargs where a few turn around to keep shooting at him* Truor ---> "I'm aiming for heads, not little orc bags full of ale, lady!"

IC- Liv aims her arrow at the and releases the arrow. The warg fell and didn't get back up. Liv rode Sky Dancer up to the dead Warg. Liv drew her sword ready to fight if needed to.She found Truor and said,"Now that we have killed them all lets see if there is some reasons why they were after us. or if they were here just by chance. let us hope that they were here just by chance!"

OOC- ok you guys/gals need to DELETE anything that had to do with the bundle!!!!! aka the elf known as Wolf. he quite on us because it was to confusing for him. so delete all of that stuff SOON!!!!!!!!!!! we did battle the wargs, orcs, and goblins. but as u can see they are dead now and we are looking for clues as of why they were following us. Where are our ENTWIVES and WIZARDS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! did they drop off from the face of the earth?!?!?!? and WHERE IS THE EVIL DUDE?!?!?!?!?!?!:S

Charmiana walked over to where the elf-man was. He would have been handsome had he not been so torn up. "YOu are probably a better healer than I LIV shall I go and get some water."
