Ok, this isn't for you to get your dreams analyzed or anything. Just say what you day-dream about on any given day.

Today I looked out the window and saw a McDonald's. I dreamt of what the sign would look like upside-down.

Later this afternoon I saw billions of red, blue, green, and "yellow" (grr, no yellow!) --colored raindrops falling in a rainstorm, but the sun was shining. (I just pictured it)

I just now had a daydream of a bunch of Outcasts telling their "visions" or daydreams here. That was wierd! Am I the only one here who daydreams? :D I don't think so...

Oh, I daydream all right. But most of mine are a bit on the strange side. I can't even think of any to share at the moment...

Heh, here's a classic one that I'm sure a lot of people have. In that one REEEEAALLY boring class where the teacher has a monotone voice and just goes on and on and never shuts up...I know I can't be the only one who does the Charlie Brown thing and hears "Mwa mwa bwa mwa bla bla bla"...:D

Oh yeah...i saw a fairy once....people told me it was a daydream...oh well...

I saw a castle in the clouds one time and people told me I was daydreaming. But then, my evil older sister said she saw it, too. Maybe she was just being evil. I still gots a superly good memory of the thing. Very detailed. oh well. Why can't we do normal dreams in here, too? No big deal. *hides*

My daydreams are wierd...most of them too wierd to tell, even to a bunch of Outcasts. But since I've been reading Wheel of Time lately my daydreams have had that stuff in them. For instance, I daydreamed I was flying over Tar Valon, when a couple of Aes Sedai decided I was invading thier airspace and they shot me down. :D Like I said, wierd...:D

I keep daydreaming that my life is a play...kind of like the movie Chicago, for any of you who've seen it. It's weird, but kind of cool.

One of the most annoying things is when you're zoning out and having a really cool or interesting daydream, and then someone comes up and makes you snap out of it and talk to them, then you completely lose your track of thought. I hate that.

The-Elf-Herself

I daydream about all kinds of insane stuff in excruciating detail, but it's all too complicated to talk about here. What I hate is how when I start to daydream people come up to me and ask if something's wrong because I'm being so quiet. Interrupt some lovely strange ideas, they do. Then everybody acts SO surprised that I'm spacing out, apparently they think I shouldn't be like that or it weirds them out or something.

Daydreams are very fun and useful, but they're better when you freewrite with them. That's how I come up with all kinds of crazy stories. I have way too many stories in the works right now and I always want to write them down, but by the time I put pen to paper, I've told myself the story so many times that I'm too bored to write it down. *hangs head in shame*

it's real stress relief plus everybody laughs at them... my main character is a banana wearing sunglasses.

Scary nightmare (to me *sniff*) ---> I was invisible and running away from goblinses somewhere in the woodses. Later, I was in the shower, but still invisible for some reason  and a bunch of superly scary white mud covered zombies came and covered me with their scary white mud. Not very fun.

My dreamses are freaky. I dream about everything. Last night I had a dream about the Olympics...a day before i dreamt I didn't have a right foot (huh?). I've dreamt about Spider-Man, Harry Potter, various movies, books, dinosaurs, school, teachers (blegh) and even this guy who I am trying to get over AND IT'S NOT WORKING. Anyone want to hear something in particular?

Spider-Man! Eeeee! Spidey's the bestest! :D

I have nightmares about spiders eating me sometimes. *Shudders*. Not fun. But the scariest nightmares are when people you love and trust turn evil. I had a nightmare when I was about eight or so that my mom turned into the Grinch and was trying to stab me with a kitchen knife. Hilariously funny now, but back then it scared me so bad that I almost peed my pants.

My crazy older sister does really stupid things in her sleep sometimes ---> One time she dreamed that Batman was chasing after her and she jumped into a lake or something and saw his little ears poking over the water behind her, but when she got to the other side and was pulling herself out of the water, she pulled herself out of her bed in real life. oh well.

Hmmm, I don't usually get nightmares. I believe there were three I've had in my whole life. One was where my entire family turned into giant spiders. Another where I was being chased by giant killer mutant mosquitos. And a recurring one where we move from our okay house to a really cruddy house somewhere, where we have to sleep in sleeping bags on the floor and there's always tons of things wrong with the place. The nightmare part of this is that in my dream everyone says that the move was all my idea and even though they didn't want to move they did it just for me, so I should be happy. Of course I can't remember any of that. I always wake up feeling superly relieved that we haven't moved anywhere. My good dreams always involve being a Jedi Knight or having some really cool ability. I've had over ten Jedi Knight dreams, which my brother envies because he's only had one and in it he couldn't do anything cool.

Too creepy!

I have bad dreams frequently, and true nightmares with some regularity. But good or bad, my dreams are usually bizarre, often so they're totally indescribable. And i dream that I can fly all the time. One recent dream that was relatively sensible was about scuba diving. My partner and I had to dive down like 30 feet just to get to our wet suits and air tanks. i couldn't hold my breath that long and i started breathing and thought to myself "oh i can breathe because i'm touching my partner's arm." then i couldn't find one piece of equipment which mysteriously appeared on my later. yes, that is a "sensible" dream to me. and like most scuba dreams i ended up hurting my ears.

YayGollum
04-08-2003, 02:39 AM
Yes, aren't most dreams indescribable? Or at least you think they're cool and when you try to describe them, it turns out that it's actually pretty achingly stupid? Not very fun. Some comedian says that we should all tell people our dreams without telling them it's a dream in the first place. Keeps them interested.

I never have exciting dreams. :( I just have 'real' dreams, about stuff that could happen, like going to school or other thrilling stuff like that. It can be confusing when I dream I go to school and have a test the next day, and then wake up and wonder whether I really have the test, or if I was just imagining it.

Lossengondiel
04-08-2003, 02:43 AM
I dream very frequently too, and not all of them are bad. but one of the main things that I encounter the most would be me trying to run away from someone/something, and I can't run fast enough, kinda if I was on a treadmill.

The-Elf-Herself
04-08-2003, 02:54 AM
Hmm. Most of my dreams fall into the weird but interesting category. Most of them revolve around being trapped somehow and being able to escape, only to be trapped again. The whole dream will be capture and escape over and over, until finally I get tired and I'm about to be permanently caught when I wake up. Not exactly bad, just very interesting.

I never have problems with any of my family snoring or anything. However I do have problems if the wind gets too loud, I live in a valley so it acts as a wind tunnel and amplifies the sound until I can't stand it.

Anyone ever dream that they are getting ready to go to school/work just to have your alarm clock go off again? That happened to me this morning. I hit my snooze alarm without waking up but I dreamed I got up and did some weird stuff as I got ready. Something about Garfield comics. Then my alarm went off again, I hit the snooze, did n't wake up, and had a different weird dream about getting up. Finally I got up the third time it went off. It was silly.

Speaking of music in dreams, many times right before I wake up there will be a song playing in my dream, sometimes just background music like in a movie. Then I will wake up to find that I have that song in my head. I can still remember one in particular from a long time ago... Sooo many of my dreams are like that. Strange.

As far as kissing in dreams, as I think Lossen mentioned earlier...heh...I've never had any dreams where I'm kissing anyone. It's always my best friend. Whenever she shows up in my dreams, she always ends up making out with one of my guy friends. It's so weird. Like my mind subliminally connects her with that kind of stuff. Then again...she's not too far from that in real life...just a little bit more outgoing in my dreams...

My subconscious is wacky.

Heh, a funny dream story...my cousin was on her first date, and she brought her date home late that night to watch movies. So they were sitting there on the couch, watching a movie, doing the things that couples do when they're watching movies ...when her brother walks in (sleepwalking), goes straight to the refrigerator (which is across from the TV in their house), opens the door, pulls down his pants, and PEES in the refrigerator! Then he just calmly pulls his pants back up and shuts the fridge door, turns back and walks to his room, leaving my cousin and her boyfriend staring after him...:D

Last weekend I was at a Key Club convention, and didn't get much sleep. I took a 45 minute nap saturday morning, and had three different dreams about things which didn't happen at key club convention, two about things that didn't happen at school, and two completely random dreams that make absolutely no sense now. How I managed to fit all that into 45 minutes I have no idea. . . .

My dreams are SOOOO varied. Sometimes they'll be as weird as me dreaming I'm a frog and I'm swimming around in a farmer's pond, and then the pond dries up and I'm a rabbit. (<---dreamed that once)

Sometimes my dreams are freakily deja vu like. For instance, I'll be doing something when I'm awake, and remember doing it before somewhere, but I know that I've never done it before. Later on I'll figure out that I dreamed it before. Or, (and this is rarer) I'll dream something, kind of forget the dream, but then do the exact same thing as I did in my dream later on and at that moment remember that I dreamed it before.

Sometimes my dreams are adjacent to the waking world. Sometimes I can even control my dreams, but only for brief periods. (Those dreams are always the best ones. :D)

Sometimes I'll dream about something I'd do when I woke up and think that I was really awake. For instance, once I dreamed that I got up, did my morning routine, and went to school. There I met up with Kailita (this was when we still went to the same school) and we were talking together. Then I realized I didn't do my homework, and told Kailita so, and then the bell rang. Then I woke up. It was like going back in time. So freaky. :D

If any of that made any sense.

Like you care.

Ohmygoshness, I do that ALL the time!!!:eek: It's so freaky! It's not like a psychic thing...but I dream little things about the future all the time. Things will happen in the exact place and exact time that I dreamed them in.

Once I dreamed that me and some friends were driving in a van with a friend's mom at night past a bunch of streetlights, on a specific road, with a specific song on the radio. And then, maybe a month or so later, that exact thing happened! Right down to us driving on that exact road with the exact song playing! It was the freakiest thing ever! Last night I dreamed that there were a bunch of really big, black, fuzzy spiders crawling around behind my bedpost, and every time I cringingly killed one (I hate spiders and I'm deathly afraid of them  ), three more would come up in its place. I have recurring dreams. The worse part is when you become aware that you've had the dream before and you know how it's going to turn out but you can't change it.

Yuck that's a terrible dream Kai! I sometimes get dreams where I get into fights and suddenly my teeth are knocked out. I think it was something to do with the fact that I grind my teeth when I sleep, a visual manifestation of the pain. Drives me nuts, I hate fighting. I like the philosophy that if you run away, you live to run away another day. Why bother with doing something that's going to hurt you, even if you win? Better just to talk your way out of it.:D

How many people here have problems with insomnia? I've been having major sleeping problems lately... i can't get to sleep, I can't stay asleep, and when I do sleep I toss and turn and have nightmares. Ick. This morning I had a dream that I got so tired that an entire week just vanished from my memory. then I couldn't write or keep my balance and I fell down a lot when I walked. It was like I was drunk or something. Not a fun dream. But kinda funny in retrospect. I suppose I'll laugh when I start sleeping right again.

Anyway, yeah many times I can control my dreams, it's so cool. Like i'll come across some obstacle or problem, and sometimes rather than solve it I'll just skip ahead to later in my dream and not worry how I got there.

regarding insomnia....ummm I have lots of trouble getting to sleep at night, so I just read and don't worry about it, and then, during the day whenever I start to get sleepy, I sleep.....the teachers get mad, but if your grades are good........

sometimes in dreams, someones will do or say something really mean and I will try to punch them but I can't, like a really big and solid (invisible) pillow barrieer is between me and them....well, I've started to think that (remember when I said I only sort of half sleep?) I punch in real life, but since I sleep face down, I am punching into my bed, and that makes it harder for me to get my arm all the way out, and in the dreams like those, I dont just know what it feels like (<----in most dreams) but I feel it

weird, huh?

Yes. Sounds creepy. Anyways, doobedoobedoo... I once dreamt that there were these two rocks that kept grinding together. It kept waking me up because the noise and vibrations were too annoying. *knows that it's not interesting* I didn't want to just put down that first thing.

Oh man. I just had this dream where I was watching a movie at the Most Incredible theater I have ever seen. The screen was enormous and slightly concave, wrapping around both sides of the stadium-seated audience. The surround sound was fabulous and the seats were so comfy. The movie I was watching was Star Trek Generations. I would have wished for Star Wars, but this wasn't exactly a lucid dream. Anyways, at the once point where the ship crashes into this planet the ship seemed to be projected out of the screen and above the audience. Sort of like a 3-D movie but superly better and no glasses required. Oh gosh it was amazing! Very vivid, man what i would have given to change the movie to Star Wars and watch the X-Wing sequence like that. The space battles were literally suspended in front of, around, and above the audience and the explosions would actually shower down these harmless holographic sparks and stuff on the audience. Dude, and my parents wonder why I don't want to get up in the mornings.:D

I had a really nice dream last night.

Usually I sleep in my lame couch bed here at my dad's apartment but I visited my sister and the rest of my family last night and slept on my baby sister's floor in a sleeping bag with my body pillow Martin.
And I cuddled the body pillow and I dreamt it was Snaga.

*embarrassed grins* Hehe.

(PS-It's also Snaga's middle name...but that's not how it got that name either.)

I just think Martin's fun to say. :D

oops missed a few days. very busy. i'm sleeping better but now i don't have time so i'm sleeping even less  yeah, i used to sleep in class but it's hard to get away with as a college senior. as a general rule i have trouble getting to sleep but things like reading and yoga usually help. its just that occasionally i will go through a really bad phase where nothing works but complete exhaustion, which takes a while.

I don't sleep at night at all, even when I try. So I stay up all night reading ;) Mostly bibliocrack, lately the Stephanie Plum series, which is like Bridget Jones from Jersey with a gun. And I have MOUNTAINS of books I haven't read yet and mean to get around to reading.

Oh yeah! I've been going nuts in bookstores- used bookstores especially. This is what three years in Japan does to you, you have to order online and you don't get to fondle the books first! So not only did I go crazy buying books, I've been borrowing books from people too. I'm hopeless! One of these days the TBR stack is going to topple over- I can see the headlines now. 'Crazed Bibliophiles Dies in Bookslide'. Hehe. That's the way to go!

I was away at college and had NONE of my favourite books so I when I got back I went NUTS.

We have a library at the house I used to live in (where the rest of my family still lives) and it became my room so I had dominion over ALL the books! And we also have filing drawers full of books in the garage...I'd just go through them all and take what I wanted.

Unfortunately now that I've moved in with my dad my crazy control freak mother has gone in there and messed with my stuff.
:( So sad.

I want my books back but I won't get them. :( It makes me cry.

And yes, I prefer used, worn books to new ones! :D

Heehee- my room's like that here. The only place in the house for the 6ft wide floor to ceiling shelves to go was...my room! Huzzah! Most of the adult fiction is in my room (on 1/3 of the shelves), plus all my books (on the other 2/3), and all my brother's books (he's away at college now) on the built ins over the desk. I'm the family librarian- want to find a book, come to me! I shelved them all (according the topic!) and did a spiffy job if I do say so myself ;)

The other is off in space.

And Rhian, OH MY!

My sister plays librarian in my room cos I have so many books! She comes to my room to check them out!
:)

I organised them according to "Adult" and by topic, and each topic section by author.

And then "Teen" in the same way, "Children" in the same way, and "Classics" in the same way.

I even have a section for Encyclopedia sets, Magazines, and computer manuals and tech books! Even my dad's old law books and my sibling's text books! :D

La la la, lately I've been staying up until four and not getting up until after 11am, la la la.... :D

All the fiction in my room is divided up by Adult, Childrens, and My Books (my books are arranged aesthetically by size, shape, typeset, and color- yes, I am obsessive about my shelves), and the shelves in the school room are by topic (pet books, theology books, travel books...), with all the different curriculum books from our reading lists together by grade.

Or at least that's how it was, but people keep messing my shelves up! *is indignant*

We have piles and stacks of books on two big shelves and several smaller shelves in the living room. Then I have two full-to-bursting shelves in my room and my brother has a whole shelf of history books. Then there are random stacks of books pretty much everywhere. Yes, I am afraid of superly achingly organized people. My house is organized chaos. It's not especially neat, but we know where everything is. If we organized things, we'd forget where we put them. oh well. Yeah, I get what you mean. Organizing is bad. I spent an hour organizing our art/bird/dog/nintendo/computer room and then I couldn't find anything. It took me a week to find my play script because I had put it carefully away in a "safe" spot instead of leaving it lying around. What's wrong with clutter? I've seen a feng shui makeover, the places actually look less comfortable after the expert comes in and does their thing. If I thought anything of it I'd be nervous to touch anything and "upset the balance", that's no way to live.

Feng Shui is ****!!

But they do say that Bruce Lee's son died because the Feng Shui mirror on his house fell off in a storm.

Hehe.

Dream I had last night:

I was with a group of my Uni friends and we had this "challenge" to complete.

We stood on the bank of this canal.

The canal water was about waist high on me. (I'm 5'8") but it led to a lake and depending on how close you went to the mouth of the lake thing the water rose to about chest level.

Anyway, I had to jump into this freezing cold Canal and when I was in the water the sides of the canal, covered in brick, rose about 2-3 feet above the water level.
And there was a small ledge on the bank opposite the one my friends were standing on.
And on this small ledge a conveyor belt covered in live water fowl moved towards the lake.

We had to knock off six water fowl.

There were ducks, geese, swans, and moorhens. And even babies. :)

And so I did the jumping thing and knocked six into the water.
And then I tried to get out but the challenge wasn't over.
I had to collect the 6 birds and put them in a bag specially made with holes and stuff.

So I collected the birds...one of them was a huge canadian goose that squirmed and it made a big bulge in my sack.
The nicest one was a little black moorhen with a red tuft on its beak and it nuzzled my hand.

And after that we had to go and take them to a woman on a table by the lake who would catalogue them, count them, and give us our seal of completion.

But I learned that I wasn't supposed to have taken certain kinds of birds but she let it slide.

Then I assume we let the birds go.

Although my friend Casey accidentally killed a moorhen and I cried.

Then I had a dream that my roommate, who in the dream was a cross between my roommate and my best friend, (My roommate's personality and definitely her, except she looked like my best friend and had her name) hadn't invited me to her wedding and I went to the jewelry shop where she and her husband worked to ask why and she was like, "I tried but I couldn't find you." I was like "You must not have looked very hard." She was like, "Well it's my wedding. I'm the bride. It's important if I'M there not you. I don't care if you're there."
I was like, "I would've liked to have seen your wedding. " She was like, "Oh well. I wouldn't have liked you to."
And then she asked me to leave, and I was like, "Do you still want to go to my wedding? Cos I want you to."
She was like, "Eh, I dunno. If we have time. Probably won't though. Send an invitation but don't have your hopes off."
And then she kicked me and Snaga out of her store. :(

Wow, Wonks. I've never dreamed about water fowl.

Huzzah for another homeschooler!
Yay!

Gosh, I guess you guys who keep your books neat wouldn't like our house.
Oh, ours are neat. They were neat for a whole three days after we first got them all unpacked and shelved, but it didn't last. I do know where everything is, though, by virtue of I spend so much time just looking at the shelves. The shelves of my books are neat, because I obsessively arrange them, but the piles of unread books all around my bed (there must be 70, now) are messy as all get out.

My house is organized chaos. It's not especially neat, but we know where everything is. If we organized things, we'd forget where we put them.
Yeah, that's what it is. Organized chaos. God forbid you shift something of my brother's five inches to the right, because he'll never be able to find anything ever again.

But they do say that Bruce Lee's son died because the Feng Shui mirror on his house fell off in a storm.
He died because some idiot on The Crow film set didn't know a thing about gun safety. Feng Shui is double ****.

Actually my room is TINY. :) I really don't know how I managed to fit two beds in. Well...one's a twin bed and one's a trundle. And there's hardly any floor space. And, urgh, my aunt is staying over, so I had to move all my stuff off the spare bed and rearrange it in piles and...ack, I feel so disorganized. *Shudders*

Hugging. Ahh, I think I've stated this before, but oh --- crackers. (Almost put finished the evil "oh well"...*gasps*...what's wrong with me?? ) Anyway. Hugging. Yes. Well...I usually don't hug other people unless I have a solid reason to. (But sometimes "just because" is a solid reason for me...oh crackers. ) I like my space, and I don't like people hanging on me. But I have a few huggly friends, and I've learned to understand their point of view. They show affection physically, and they need to be reaffirmed through hugging. *Shrugs* That's just the way they tick. And I've gotten used to it. Mostly. And sometimes when I'm down, what I REALLY need is just to find somebody to hug. Teddy bears work really well for that, too.

Teddy bears or rabbits. i have a blue rabbit with funny teeth and terribly long ears. he reminds me of somebody who is very distant from me right now. So I hug him often.

*Laughs slightly behind her hand* I admit, I do that sometimes. But under certain conditions...

I only do it when the person I'm talking to has superly cool pockets. With zippers. Oh yeah, baby. *Has an extreme obsession with deep pockets and zippers and buttons and velcro and snaps and all those fun pants accesories* :D

Oh, and I only do it with people I know, heh. Wouldn't want to freak the heck out of some stranger by reaching out and tugging on the velcro on their pants in the middle of a conversation, heh. *Would probably get a funny reaction to that*

I toy with pockets mostly with my guy friends...just because, duh, they have the coolest pockets, because they're guys. :o They - or a couple of them, anyway - used to get all freaked out and scandalized by me flipping out over their pants...I guess it could be taken the wrong way, heh. But now they're just used to it, and I can zip and unzip the little zippers on the sides of their pants without them even looking up. (Don't worry...I never go for the vertical one, heh. ;)) Oh my gosh...one of my friends...has the best pants...with suspenders...and little seatbelt clips...ooh *faints*. I don't think I'd like being touched during a conversation- it depends. I don't mind people touching my hair. My pants are off limits (no, they don't have cool pockets on them). I hug my friends, because I don't see them often, and I hug my parents, and I liked to be hugged back, but I don't do it all the time. I get claustrophobic when there are too many people standing around and you can't move without stepping on someone; I don't mind being heaped on say a couch with a bunch of people, but I prefer they be people I know. When my friends and I get together (once in a blue moon *sigh*) we sit on each other's feet, and things, but that's because we've known each other for 7+ years and for all intents and purposes they're family. Also, I don't like being hugged by my grandmother because she gives long, clingy, rocking hugs and keeps kissing you on the cheek, and I don't hug my cousins because I hardly know most of them, and come to think of it I don't hug most of my relatives except for some of my aunts.

And last night I had two really weird dreams; I remembered them when I woke up, but they've gotten fuzzy now- I can't remember what the first one was about except that it was really odd. The second one was about me and my friends being involved in a weird, mafia-style war with some other kids from across the street. At some point I fell in to the hands of the enemy side and got stuck under a car and was being dragged under it- the idea wasn't the run me over, it was that the underside of the car did something weird to my stomach, and when I woke up I tested my (perfectly normal) stomach muscles gingerly.

Hmm...yeah, it all depends. Some people I don't mind touching me, other people I'll duck away from immediately. I like the feeling of having my hair braided by someone. But my geometry teacher (who is an old man and a pervert *shudders*) has this thing with stroking my hair every time I do something different with it, and that's just freaky...*shivers and hides*

I dreamt that I was in a huge maze of those creepy tubes they have at really stupid restaurants just for kidses. That wasn't very fun. No slides. just the evil and weird smelling tubes all the time. *sniff* Yes, not interesting, but did it have a deeper meaning?

I had a nightmare tonight...so I woke up and came online...

Snaga was dead...and I got a call in the middle of the night.
It terrified me.
I started to hyperventilate and woke up crying.
I nearly passed out. :(

Spiffy is a fun word! :) But, oh crackers, whatever you say, Yay.

Ohmygosh, Wonks, that's a horrible dream. :( I've had dreams like that, too. Twice I've dreamed that one of my friends tried to commit suicide, and then once I dreamed that he got run over by a truck. Is this supposed to tell me something? Bleh, I hope not. And then in one of those dreams, another friend tried to commit suicide after his death, because she couldn't bear to live without him. That part was pretty funny afterwards, but it was terrifying during the actual dream, despite the drama. I felt so helpless to stop anything.

Once, when I was about eight, I dreamed that I died. When I woke up, I was curled up under my flowery sheets and the sun was shining through them, and I thought that was Heaven.

...also I forgot, the mafia dream had this funky bit that involved a group of people from the background of the big party scene of The Philadelphia Story, which is a great movie.

Ugh, Wonks, how awful! *participates in random act of hugging* The night before we left Japan I had an absolutely horrible and very vivid dream about being chased by a serial killer. Very, very creepy. I wrote it all down in detail somewhere, but basically I was ten years old (and didn't look like myself- it was a 3rd person dream) and this guy carrying a baby car seat started followring me around; he kept talking to the baby (I don't know if it was a doll or a real baby), and the dream ended when me trapped in a parking lot with him coming after me in a minivan. I was caught in the headlights and then I woke up. Ugh.

Somebody told me that in life happens the opposite to the dream. So if you dreamed something terrible like Wonko you can be absolutely sure that it doesn`t mean anything bad:)

Well one time I dreamt my friend had attempted suicide and I was meant to talk to her and try to stop her...
And we were separated as she had moved at that point and I called her up to see if she was ok...
And she HAD tried to commit suicide the same night I had the dream.

Creepy.

And right now I wish I COULD dream. :( I'm SUCH an insomniac.

I had a weird dream a couple of nights ago. I was in a greenhouse type place with lots of plants and a fountain and I was talking to a flamingo. I kept telling it to shake somebody's hand, it was very important. But it wouldn't listen. It just kept going on about how it's feathers weren't pink enough. :D

Oh wow, that sounds funny.:D

I had this crazy dream yesterday influenced by all this talk of Greek mythology. In it a few friends of mine and I were chasing this evil imp bent on world destruction, but it would always get away. We had to chase it through time, space, and all that junk using this crazy portal thingy that only my one friend could open. The thing that kep tripping us up was that my friends kept saying things that for some reason insulted the Greek Gods(not a hard thing to do:rolleyes: ), and so they would get buckets of snow dumped on them from mysterious places in the sky. Half the time I was helping them dig out of snowdrifts, so of course the evil imp got away again and again. It got very frustrating.

Last night I had a very bizarre dream. Completely senseless. Apparently I was friends with this lady, who at the start of the dream I thought was a teenager but turned out to be middle-aged, but my sister became friends with her and I was jealous, and then (after we found out she was middle aged) we were all going to take some kind of class from her- I have no idea what the point of the class was, but we went to the science museum, used one of their rooms, and all sat at tables with these things that were shaped like popsicle sticks but were brown and bubbly and brittle, like they were made out of beef jerky, only the texture was wrong. We were breaking them in to strips, and mine wasn't doing very well, and I was irritated. Then I woke up.

I heard that you have dreams every night. Well, every time you get into the REM (rapid eye movement) stage of sleep. It just depends on whether you forget them or not.

I had a dream last night that I was dressed like Trinity (which isn't a stretch for me...) and that I was thrown a surprise Engagement party by everyone who was mean to me in High School and all my friends.

And then Snaga showed up and he and I were elves, and we went to like a Rivendell or Lothlorien type place, and Galadriel (Not Cate Blanchett but how I think Galadriel should look) was there and Turin's tale from UT to us and some other elves...

:) Nice pretty dream. :)

I had a very very bizarre dream last night- I was a man, for one thing. A married man. With a baby daughter. Living in an old white farm house. And my brother dumped his two children on me while he went somewhere, and these children were incredibly awful brats, and the dream was about my efforts to reform them. It was a very vivid, detailed dream. It was weird.

I had the strangest dream. I had a baby (a girl) with blonde hair and black eyes and a huge birthmark on her chick. And everybody was so sorry for me and my poor child. And I was mad at them for that and felt abandoned by everyone. It was so unfair: just because of that birthmark everybody turned away from me. I woke up feeling lonely and depressed.

I had two very strange dreams.

In the first, I was one of six sisters- all the same age- and we lived in a freaky post-industrial city of the post-apocalyptic-SF variety, next to the ocean, and on the other side of the ocean (which was really a lake) there was another post-industrial city of the post-apocalyptic-SF variety, only it was populated by Bad Guys. And we (the sisters) were kidnapped and taken to the other sister, and its leader was Bealzebub (Satan), and he was going to make us his wifes, and we had to run away; we escaped and made it to the 'ocean' and swam (walked- my dream self called it swimming) across, all holding hands so we wouldn't lose each other.

We got back to our city, where the good buys were, and went looking for Mrs. Roth, a rotund woman with blonde hair and black eyeliner. She was the librarian, but when we got to the library we found out the city had been flooded and the water had gotten all the way up to the second floor- fortunately the books were on the third- and when I got up through the wet mildewing first- and second floors I found Mrs. Roth and Betsy (my voice teacher from when I lived in Japan) had started a rock group and Mrs. Roth didn't want to talk to me, so I wandered around the books- which were all really dirty- and a rather scary, dirty looking man came up to me and we talked for a few minutes about books that didn't exist.

And then the dream switched and I was with my older brother in an incredibly dingy Wal-Mart, looking for Patricia McKillip's new book, In the Forests of Serre (before I was going to sleep I was thinking about how I wanted it), only they didn't have it and I couldn't get them to get it for me. And then my mom showed up, trying to get a certain kind of vaccume cleaner, and they wouldn't do it for her, either, and I took her in to this bizarre little cafe in the store and tried to bribe her in to getting my book for me with a chocolate covered strawberry.

And then I woke up.

BIZARRE! :)
Rhia, maybe the reforming bratty children dream was a past life regression. ;)

And I had a freaky dream the other night...It was about Snaga.
One of his relatives was sick with cancer and I was a doctor and I saved him.
:) Sad and happy. :)

I had this incredible dream last night:

Let's see: I could shift and become the wind, not a bird gliding on the wind, but the wind itself. It was wonderfully...freeing and was so much fun, I could listen to everything and play tricks on people and help people. My best friend(who was also in it) could do some type of elvish thing. I think it had to do with being able to sense the ways of plants and trees, she could simply touch one and know everything about it and she could help them grow faster and resist disease. A bunch of us who could do these different things met on this quiet mountain in a huge glade surrounded by trees. Anyone who had something to do with the earth wore green or brown, my friend had on this really pretty simple green dress and I was wearing a plain white smock and pants, since I dealt with the sky. We went into this beautifully airy building, to eat while we held a big important meeting and the food! Cheesecakes and chocolate cakes and fresh ripe fruit and aaahhh. It was incredible!

Altogether a very satisfying dreaming experience.

A few nights ago I dreamt I had a threesome with Bruce Willis and some other random person.

THAT was scary. I don't even LIKE Bruce WIllis!!! :)

Last night, however, I dreamt of nice things about Snaga...we went to a church trying to decide on places to get married. :) Yay.
