That wasn't Narsil. Narsil or the sword that was broken is in Rivendell, Celeborn is in Lothlorien, besides Narsil is a long Sword.

Yes and if you will take a careful look at the new image from the Return of the King of Aragorn in the midst of battle, you will see that he is indeed wielding Narsil reforged and no longer his sword that he has had throughout the Fellowship and the Two Towers. You can take a look at the picture on the thread of spoiler images.

I think he meant that as a joke. I dunno though, it just seems like it was.

The leaving out of Narsil in the movie was one of my major pet-peeves about it, they could have done that very easily and it was a crucial part of the book. Also he drew his sword before Rivendell in the movie right well in reality he always had Narsil with him in its sheath because at Bree in the book he pulls out just the hilt with some sword still attached to it.

In the movie Aragorn didn't draw Narsil before Rivendell, he drew his ranger sword.

Narsil being reforged will be the first scene we see in Rotk ...so says PJ in an article ...
Also Hugo W said he is in the third movie to push the Arwen/Aragorn love story forward ...
So maybe Arwen and Elrond bring it to Aragorn before he goes to Edoras after they return from Isengard ...
Aragorn will need it on the Paths of the Dead ...
Also I read somewhere Sauron sees it when Aragorn looks into the Palantir ...
I am kind of glad it is quiet about spoilers so we will all be really surprised in December ...
