In the depths of the Dwarf Darrow there was a large subterranean cavern, stalagmites and stalagtites draped its emptiness like elaborate curtains in a Lady's chamber. The cavern was the Darrow's training facility, where Dwarves and other peoples learned how to wield weapons of battle with skill and precision. This class was different however, and Falim would teach his students how to strike deadly, quickly, and quietly.
Stealthspear was his name, known by many, and his knowledge in the way of shadow would help his students become the assassins and warriors they so craved to be.

"Hi, has the class started yet? oh, well. If I am early, it is better than being late. I am Avari, pleased to meet you." Avari bowed, and waited for others to arrive.

"Ah Avari, this class does not begin till Day 4, from 1:30-3:30 in the afternoon. Now hurry along now before you miss your other classes! I look forward to seeing you later!" encouraged Falim, as he pushed Avari politely out of the cavern.
Celebrien appeared in the doorway. He had left his sword in his dorm room, and he had made sure all his knives were in his cloak and his long knives were sharp. He was ready to go.

Kilease Ironfoot bounded into the room. She always bounded or bounced because her energy reserves were either peaked high on alcohol or running fast on adreneline. At any rate, today she bounced and announced her presence with a loud, "Hurrah for the Dwarf Darrow!" as she entered.

*Tolir trudges down to the other people, dragging his huge axe behind him, looking superly embarrassed for even being there since he knows he'll probably make a fool of himself in here with all of his natural clumsiness, he stops in front of whoever decides that he stopped in front of them* "I'm here to learn the stealth combat techniques. The teachers will have their work cut out for them."

Sarin entered the room quietly as he normally. He looked around in awe having never visited the Dwarf Darrow. He gave everyone a polite bow of greeting then leaned against the wall waiting for the class to begin.

Kilease frowned briefly at Phenix but refused to let his remark dampen her spirits. She walked over to Falim's side with all the grace she could muster and turned around to address the class. "Welcome! It is good to see you here! After all, the Dwarf Darrow is turning out to be a tremendous success! I hope you all enjoy this class. Falim will be teaching you mostly, but I will be here as well, making remarks now and then in the background. I hope you all know how to laugh?" Kilease's eyes gleamed with teasing. "But at any rate, that's how things will work here!" She finished off with a swirl of her arms and a luxurious bow.

Phenix: Remember capitalization and puncuation marks.
Yay: You shouldn't put your actions in asterisks. Try instead to make each post a good piece of writing that could come directly from a book.

Avari walked into the cavern, and awaited the begining of class. While she was waiting, she finished her book. Rather angry, she stood silently.

The students grew weary of nothing happening. They began to complain about their teacher's disappearance, and having to stay in this empty cavern with Kilease as company.
"Silence!" boomed Kilease, "Falim is not late, he is beginning your first lesson! Now everyone follow me!" Kilease strode off into the cavern, flipping the handle to close all the light shafts pouring down from the world above. Instantly the wind pressure from the shafts closing caused the torchlight to extinguish, and they heard the archways close to the outside. The cavern was pitch black, and no student could see his or her own fist in front of them.
"Now who's snickering!" roared Falim. "Now that you are in the dark, no one speaks! Do not shuffle your feet, do not make sound! There are many sharp things and hard rocks in this cave, so walk carefully and with cause! You pass if you can find your weapons!" Instantly, the students gasped as they felt their weapons taken from their belts and shoulders. "Hush! We are in stealth mode now, and no one speaks or makes noise! Each of your weapons are in a certain place, and if you can acquire them, you pass this lesson! Your eyes shall accustom to the dark soon enough, as mine have. Ready? Begin!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC: Post your happenings in the dark. No speaking, no noise at all. You must keep your words to yourself, but I want to see your thoughts, and you finding your weapons. You can run into things, and maybe even others, but you cannot talk. And it takes a while to be able to see in the dark, so it is unlikely you would see in this pitch blackness yet...

Phenix just stood still as the light went out she's a...teacher.Damn! why havn't I seen her before. Oh well nothing too do about it now he thought looking at the place were Kilease had stood befor. He now noticed that both his long dagger and his two small knieves where missing and that everyone ahd began too move around. By now his night vision had began too work soo he slowly navigated throgh the cavern at first he bumbed into a small man, possibly a dwarf but soon he found it easier too walk. He walked over too one of the walls and began too search it for any holes big enought too fitt his weapons. after a few minits he fellt the big handle of an axe wonder if you get points for finding another weapon? he asked himsels but desided too leave it bee and continue the search for his own knieves. Ten minits past befor he found them, squest into a small hole in in the ground half covered by what seemed too be a minor stone.

When he heard the rustling of everyone around him he took the clanking to mean their weapons were being taken. So he took off his two sandals quickly and held them out in front of him. He felt the form search him for other weapons, but finding none he took the sandals and scampered off. Before trying to go anywhere he closed his eyes for 30 seconds. Upon opening them he could make out some faint shapes in front of him though nothing more than that. Not fearing anything that could be hiding he stole down the cavern silently noting the soft cool scratchiness of the ground below. Idly he thought "This is rather pleasent I think I'll have to do this more often." Having lived several years of his life in near constant meditation he had grown not to fear the dark for it was simply the same world that it was in the light. He walked confidantly even though he stubbed his foot a few times he bit his lip and kept going. a light breeze touched his face and he stopped as someone walked across his path in front of him. After he was sure the person was gone he continued walking. In the rear corner of the cave he came upon a field of what felt like stalagmites. Feeling around he grasped his sandals which were strung upon the tip of one.

Kilease blinked at the darkness surrounding her. For a moment she stood still, waving her arms in front of her face trying to see them. She shook her head. Nope! It wasn't going to work that way! Oh, but she did love the dark! She started to move, but her first two steps made loud slapping sounds on the stone floor and she stopped still, astonished at the loud noise. This was supposed to be a stealth class, not a stomping contest! The thought made Kilease laugh inside. She knew that she was one of Arda's loudest inhabitants alive. She moved on, clumsily at first and with some noise, but gradually quieter, though the shuffle of her feet could still be heard.
Suddenly, in the middle of a shuffling step, Kilease realized that she had no weapon to find. She had worn no weapon into the class, not even an axe. "Hahahahaha!!!!" Kilease's laughter echoed throughout the silent room in one booming roar. She heard someone tisk, probably Falim, and she put one hasty hand over her mouth to silence the rest of her outburst.
After a moment or two of standing still, during which her stout dwarven body was hit by two different seeking students, Kilease began to move again in attempted quiet. She could only chuckle and upbraid herself inside for the lack of stealth that she exhibited.
Suddenly, Kilease ran into something with a loud clang. Her head spun for one whirling second and she fell over backwards with a thump, both feet flying into the air. She grunted loudly, and laughter tittered across the dark room.
Celebrien stood still, letting his eyes adjust. Soon he could faintly make out shapes in the dark. Slowly, he began to search the room for his knives. He felt his way across the wall, and felt a handle sticking out of a hole. He grabbed it, that was one knife found. That wasn't so hard, just need one more. he thought to himself. Celebrien crept from the wall, his feet padding silently on the floor. His next knife was near some stalagmites in the very corner. After bumping into Phenix, Celebrien began to search. The blade was soon found, and Celebrien sat down in a corner to rest.

"SILENCE!" roared Falim from deep within the cavern. Kilease was quite the clutz, and Falim could not help but smile at her ignorance. None save Falim himself could percieve the darkness so well and see the stumbling students in confusion. But at the same time, Falim was very surprised that so many had found their weapons in such short time! No matter, there were still a few who hadn't yet.

(OOC: Ack! I typed up this post a few days ago and would have posted it, but my Internet died! Just pretend I'm on time for now. :) )
Lita had entered the cavren some time before, though no one had noticed her for once. She was not her usual bouncy self, having a terrible hangover from the party the night before. Her short stature also helped her not to be noticed. When she noticed her short sword was missing from her belt, however, she gave a gasp and growled under her breath. She was quite fond of that little sword; it was one of the few things of value Lita owned.
As the rest of the students began bumping around in the dark, Lita slowly sank to the floor and sat on the cold stone for a minute. Everyone either passed right by her or stepped over her. Once her eyes were completely adjusted, Lita rose from the stone and looked around. She could see the dim, shadowy shapes of the others moving around; groping, it seemed. Lita refused to grope. It'll be a challenge, she thought with a grin. This is going to be great.
The hobbit extended her leg, feeling the ground around her with her toes. It was damp and rocky, and some of the rocks were rather too sharp for her bare foot's liking, but Lita would manage. She set out across the cave, silently padding on her hairy hobbit feet. Every so often she stopped and felt the ground around her with one foot as she had before. She was surprised at how much speed she made picking and padding her way across the cavren.
Soon another dim, shadowy shape came into view, only it was not moving, but sticking rigidly up from the floor of the cave. A stalagmite. Lita crept around the formation, quietly running her hands over it to check for any hidden chinks or crannies. She was about to give up and move on to a different part of the cave when she felt a hole at the base of the stalagmite where it met the floor. She didn't stick her hands in there right away, not knowing if any creatures made that hole thier home, but peered at it for a moment, trying to peirce the darkness within darkness of it. She sank down to her belly and put her ear on the ground, trying to listen for any scrabling sounds coming from within the hole. She could hear the footsteps of her classmates reverberating through the stone, but no scrabling or scratching noises.
Gingerly and cautiously Lita reached foreward and plunged her hand into the hole. It was not a very deep hole, just sort of wide and elongated. Her hand closed on something, and her heart gave a jump, then settled back into her chest. It was the smooth roughness of leather and the cool of steel. Her hand had closed on a hilt. She felt the hilt a little more, then realized she recognized the grip. It was her sword.
With a grin Lita gently pulled her sword out of the hole, belt and sheath and all. She gripped it tightly in both hands instead of belting it back around her waist where it might make noise whapping against her leg. The hobbit made her way back around the stalagamite and picked her way back to the place she had started from, moving just as silently but more swiftly now that she was familiar with the trail. She found the spot they had all started in and slowly sank down to sit on the stone once again, her sword in her lap. Lita folded her hands over her sword and sat patiently and silently, waiting.

Falim flipped the latch, allowing light to pour down onto the class from above. Everyone had their missing items, save Fair Haven who stood without expression in silence. No matter, class was over and everyone had done very well.
"Leave the Darrow lads and lasses! I let you out late, and for that I am sorry; you shall all recieve your grades thus far next class, for I saw your every movement in the dark. An-uzbar, get on your fat feet!" Falim bellowed to his class and Kilease, whom was still flat on her back.
The class left.
