The furnace roared with the heat of a thousand flames, converged into a blazing pit of firey red and glowing orange. The furnace was topped with a magnificent forge, black as night and simmering slightly around the iron edges. Falim and Kilease stood together, their safety goggles fitted snugly over their eyes, and awaited for their class to arrive. Beside them were small forging hammers and steel cutting tools. The Dwarf Darrow was rapidly gaining new membership, and its once empty halls had now grown to be busy.

OOC: Ok guys, blacksmithing would help to take as well, but it is not required. This class is on Day 4 from 8:30-9:30 and Nenya and I will both teach it, as we are with every class. It will be fun and educational, so PLEASE join this class; just dont post till Day 4!

Kilease ran to the door and peered out, her eyes looking fish-like in her enormous goggles. She could see no students as of yet, but waited patiently knowing that some would come in a burst of energetic appreciation for the craft of making dwarvish weapons. She just knew it.
Kilease's guess was correct, since Chokang came walking up, looking partially excited.
"Hello slave drivers Falim and Kilease," he muttered, "I trust this will be slightly more educational that the axe throwing class?"

Grandlyon followed Chokang into the classroom and laughs at Chokang remarks. "Yes can we learn something today Axe throwing was a joke." The dwarf replied to Kilease and Falim then sat down at his desk.

*Tolir shows up just after the last guy, looking superly eagerly at the forge, but tossing a look of dissappointment at the two Dwarves that are kidding around* "Oh. I thought that we didn't have the opportunity to learn much just because we showed up so late. sorry."

Kilease's good mood vanished without grace. She neither smiled nor laughed, but instead frowned and growled out her instructions. "Tolir is right! You were late for your class and thus did not get taught. And do not say that these classes here are a joke! You will learn respect!" Flaming dwarvish eyes looked out of a grim dwarvish face. "Do not take advantage of my good humor, or I will always make sure that I am in a rotten mood to teach your classes! And I will do my best to make sure that Falim is in a rotten mood too!" Kilease dug one of her fists into Falim's back as if to enunciate her point.

*Tolir takes a step back with all kinds of surprise at the lady's scariness, but glances at the Dwarves she was yelling at and hopes they don't think less of him for not joining in, he then grabs a seat somewhere since I'm assuming we have some here*
OOC: Ick. Why should I lose the asterisks and type all kinds of sentences? Different people have different styles. I'm being straightforward. No opportunities for prettiful language here! I tell it like it is since I'm all for the role playing Game part of it. *hides* Or should it be ---> YayGollum conceals himself in an unspecified location?

Grandlyon jumped backward almost out of his desk at Kilease's sudden mood swing. " I swear to Aule the creator of our kind I will never get on your bad side agian. The dwarf said extermly quickly for he did not want to get on Kilease's bad side.

Kilease glared, but let her mood soften just a little on the outside. She had to make an effort to be a good teacher, even if it meant a smooth facade and boiling insides. Taking off her goggles without ripping them off her face took an effort, and abruptly Kilease realized that she really wasn't hiding her anger all that well. She grunted. "That's good to know!" she said glumly with a slight frown.

OOC:
Yay: When you RP in Heren Istarion you can't RP like you're gollum. You have to act like you're in a serious RP at all times by using correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, creativity, plot, etc. In a sense you're writing a story . . . so it has to be good.
For everyone: Just because Kilease is mad doesn't necessarily mean that I'm mad. It's just IC, so don't panic. :p
OOC: You? Get Mad? Impossible. ;) Let me push my luck though...:D
IC:
Chokang snorted at Kilease's remark,
"Ha! I may have been late, but it still appears that I know more about axe throwing than both of you two combined!"
Chokang then sat down on a stool opposite Kilease and gave her an evil glare.
"And I had my reasons for being late, and you know it too! Your highness!!" he retorted, whilst adjusting his goggles.

Kilease's temper flared again. Her emotions were always keyed to an extremely high level and could become inflamed or jovial within a moments notice. "You will learn respect or pay the consequences!" Kilease ordered Chokang. "Tomorrow you will visit Ingolemo first thing because of your behavior in this class and in the gems and metals class. It is not acceptable! Grandlyon is being exempt from a visit to Ingolemo because of his truly repentant behavior. You, however, have stable duty written across your future!" She finished off with a dramatic flourish as though adding the most tasty topping to the most delightful dish.

Sorry I'm not teaching . . . I'm waiting for Dain to teach. This class is primarily his.

Grandlyon buried his head in his own arms to hide the grin on his face. He mutters to himself. "What a stupid dwarf that Chokang is." Then looks at Falim and Kilease to see if any teaching wil take place today.

Falim cleared his throat. "Well we must get on with teaching in this class, I would think. First off we will go through what weapons the Khazad primarily use. Axes of course, mattocks, spears, and crossbows.
Today we will cover the use of axes. There are many types of axes: We shall being with two handed axes, which consist of broad axes, double axes, great axes, giant axes, and large axes. These crushing weapons are capable of dealing considerable damage at close range. They are used primarily by the stronger Dwarves, such as the fabled Gimli and our beloved Dain Ironfoot IV. One can also bash with these, similar to a maul or mallet of considerable weight, but must be careful too hold the axe at either the very end of the handle, or the neck where the blade meets the shaft." Falim held a broad axe at its neck, "This second grip is used mainly for rest purposes, but it can be used for bashing after recovery."
One handed axes, or hatchets, are less damaging than the larger, two-handed axes. These small weapons have a faster swing speed and lower strength requirements. Also one has the option of using a shield with them, though it is less effective than a sword-shield combination. Another good tactic is to use another one handed axe in combination, sweeping in with the first axe and following through with the second."
Throwing axes are a difficult weapon to use in the heat of combat. They do not have as much range or accuracy as javelins, or arrows, but they deal a considerable amount of damage and are able to cleave an Orc's head in two if thrown from the proper angle. We shall discuss these more in the Axe Throwing Class on Day 1. Now, any questions?"
Falim kicked Kilease hard in her behind, for she had fallen asleep in his lesson.
Chokang nodded in aproval towards Dain.
"Yes, and let me demonstrate how this bearded axe can be used to kill squirrels!" he chuckled.
Chokang then jumped past Dain and sliced a squirrel in half with his axe. The squirrel had been eating some nuts that Kilease had fed to it on one of the workbenches. Unfortunately, the bench was also cut in half by Chokang's blow, sending pieces of wood everywhere.
"Nasty things," he sneered, "They're starting to take over the place!"
To prove his point, Chokang threw a throwing axe into the rafters, and hit another squirrel.
"Anyway, I was wondering whether the use of war hammers will be covered in the unit?" he asked, whilst sitting back into his chair.

Kilease was jostled out of a nice, long, comfortable sleep in which she had been playing with squirrels. She jumped and glared at Falim. "I just fell asleep because I knew that we would be covering this same stuff in Axe Throwing! Why oh why do we have both classes? Just more for us to teach," she grumbled, massaging her rear.
Then, Chokang made his speeches and his murderous moves. Kilease squawked indignantly and ran first to one squirrel and then to the other, wringing her hands. She became more and more agitated by the minute, and finally, turning fiery eyes on Chokang, she seethed, "Ingolemo will hear of this! He will! And you will be sorry! Now your punishment is going to be double! We do not, and I repeat DO NOT, kill innocent animals in Heren Istarion!" Kilease accented her frustration with a stomp of her foot.

OOC: We are underground Aule. There are NO squirrels in the furnace room in the Dwarf Darrow. I'll let it slide for now...

OOC: what targets are we aiming at if we are under ground. What are they made of.
IC: Grandlyon just shook his head in dout by the stupidity of Chokang. "When will he ever learn to stop and think for once." Grandlyon thought to himself.

Kilease turned from her scolding of Chokang to face Falim, her eyes still flashing. "I don't think they have any questions . . . at least Chokang doesn't! He's too dull and disrespectful." She rolled her eyes in anger. "But anyway, I suppose you should get on with teaching them. At least some of the students value your instruction!" She stomped away, too upset to talk, and sat on a log stump not far away.
Chokang looked into his satchel, where a dozen dead squirrels were piled up, and decided not to show them to Kilease. For a moment he felt sorry for Kilease's cause, but that thought was quickly replaced by anger.
"Meddling teachers sending students off to the principle," he muttered under his breath, before returning his attention to Dain.
