This thread is to be used only to post profiles belonging to GoD Members.

Here is my profile, it will serve as a model for what your profile should look like. Mine is not completly done so exspect some minor things to be added and changed.

Name: Chokang I Wallcrusher

Age: 88 (At the end of the Third Age)

Gender: Male

Species: Dwarf

Birthplace: Blue Mountains

Place Of Dwelling: Iron Hills

Weapons: Double Bladed War Axe (primary), Bearded Axe (secondary), Warhammer (rarely carried), Several Throwing Axes.

Occupation: Messenger for the King Under The Mountain

Magic: No

Appearance: Dark red hair, with a forked beard, Stubby nose, Scar above left eyebrow, Grey eyes, 3'9" in height, Dark brown cloak (with Hammer & Anvil brooch), mithril vest underneath a red and brown long sleeved shirt, Dark brown pants, brown overcoat, which is fastened with a large belt, with a hammer&anvil on the buckle.

Armour: Golden helm (similar to Gimli's in PJ's LOTR), black heavy boots with steel soles. Steel/chain-mail arm and leg armour.

Abilities: Can break through almost any wall with his warhammer.

Family: Son of Dwalin and Fíp, Brother of Throkang and Dokang, Nephew of Balin, Grandson of Fundin.

History: Chokang was born in the year 2931 of the Third age, the second of three brothers. For the first 12 years of his life, he lived in the Blue Mountains with his Father, Dwalin, his mother, Fíp, and his two brothers.

In the year 2941, his father took part in the quest to retake Erebor. And two years later, Chokang and Fíp traveled to Erebor to join Dwalin.
Chokang dwelled in Erebor for 52 years, and spent the majority of his time in the blacksmithery as an apprentice.
After Chokang became bored of his simple lifestyle, he moved to the Iron Hills and took on the position as his father's messenger (Dwalin became the King Dain's representative in the Iron Hills). This task involved many travels between the Blue Mountains, Erebor and the Iron Hills, and because of this Chokang became well acquainted with other races of Arda.

In the year 3008, Chokang was waylaid by a patrol of two dozen orcs in the High Pass but managed to defeat them single-handedly, although he was seriously wounded in the conflict. He managed to make his way to Rivendell to recieve treatment, but he did not receive the accolades that he thought that he should deserve from the Elves after such a feat. Ever since then, he severely disliked Elves and their ways.

Chokang continued his travels until the Battle Under The Mountain. Chokang fought valently beside his father and brothers in the battle, and was given the title 'Dual Axe' after he hewed orc heads two at a time whilst holding two axes with great strength.
After the Battle, Chokang continued serving Thorin III.

Personality: Humorous, Lazy at times, Loves his food, but fierce in battle. Avoids Elves where-ever possible. Distrusts Men and their habits until he gets to know them. Fond of Hobbits.

Other: Brown pony called Moja who is rather fat, and not too fast. Moja isn't unintelligent though, and has rescued Chokang for akward situations numerous times.
And a black raven by the name of Thoäc.

My First And Favorite --->

Name: King Truor Tupnm of the Vale of Anduin

Race: Beorning

Gender: male

Appearance: short, long black hair, green eyes, not the handsomest dude you've ever seen, wears hodge-podge armor, has a helmet and large silver shield with a golden bear embossed on it

Weapons: crossbow, throwing knives, poison dart blower, badly made sword (for the few times I'd be anywhere near the enemy)

Personality: stubborn, loyal, lover of lost causes, but loves being on the side that wins, hates elves, openminded to pretty much anything else, curious, hates responsibility, thinks of himself first, then the other Beornings, then whoever he's with, he is pretty much me

History: his mom lady was killed by elves who saw her in her bear form when she was out looking for some plant to keep poor little baby Truor alive when he was first born, which is why he hates elves, he left the vale of Anduin to study under Dwarves all over the place, explored the far north and helped some Lossoth type humans out, saved a giant eagle's life in the Misty Mountains, ran into Shadowflaps and Anthrax on a visit back home, went south until he ran into a bar in Gondor where he and a very smart bartender invented his favorite drink (v&f), he got captured by corsairs of Umbar, but saved all of the slaves onboard, then ran into some Woses on the way back to Gondor and learned all kinds of craziness from them, then he *heroic music in the background* became the king of the vale of Anduin. He doesn't like the job. Always thinking about tossing it to one of his brothers.

Other: best friend of a horse named Anthrax, sidekick of a raven named Shadowflaps, and annoying follower of a compulsive liar of a small giant eagle named Knockondor

Crazy Little Nitpicky Type Rule ---> None of my characters giggle.

_________________________________________________

Name: Trahald the Tainted

Race/Gender: human/male

Appearance: black, roving eyes that don't miss very much, black hair, black skin, pantaloons, slashed vest, bandana covering the top of his head and missing left ear, a belt holding his weapons and various potions and poisons, average height and build

Personality: smart, only thinks about himself, if he's nice to anybody, it's only because he thinks he has something to gain from it, he can be very flattering, harsh, condescending, or aloof depending on the situation, usually pretty cheerful, though, has no morals that I know of yet. Very fun to play. Yay for weaselly people!

Weapons: usually uses a bludgeon and scimitar, but has plenty of other weapons in his wagon

History: a Southron, kidnapped by corsairs of Umbar at a superly young age, and since he was too weak then to row, he was the captain's personal servant, the dude wasn't very nice, he mostly got to work in the kitchen with a very talented chef, he learned to be a great chef himself, he also learned how to make potions and poisons from this guy, I guess he was good friends with one of those healer dudes from Minas Tirith, he tried to poison the captain, but he kind of made the poison wrong and the captain just got sick, he then killed Trahald's mentor, chopped his left ear off, and gave him his crazy nickname, he was able to escape after making supper for everybody, putting them to sleep with crazy potions, he killed the captain with his own scimitar, he ran away, begged for a while in small towns in Gondor, became a pickpocket, hung out in bars, learned how to be a successful gambler, went north, ran into Boffin and Tolir, after a while, he acquired enough merchandise in games of chance that he started his own traveling business, Trahald's Itinerant Armoury (and apothecary, and toyshop), travels Middle Earth all the time, looking for profits

_________________________________________________

Name: Boffin, son of Bofur

Race/Gender: Dwarf/male

Appearance: not very smart looking, blue eyes always looking off into space, blond hair, long and not very neat beard, colorful clothes that might look good at a formal dinner under a not very well made coat of mail, has an outrageous looking helm that was only used by his ancestors in ceremonies

Personality: absent minded, forgetful, loyal, friendly to pretty much anyone, sickeningly innocent sometimes, admires elves, is embarrassed and self-conscious in front of most Dwarves. He makes me sick most of the time.

Weapons: just a mace and dagger, sorry

History: born to a rich family in the Lonely Mountain, he was given the finest tutors, but he wasn't a very fast learner, he couldn't make weapons, he couldn't remember history, he barely remembers any of the secret Dwarf language, he can barely see in dark caves, he tires easily, he's always hungry, he was cast out of the mountain to learn some common sense, ran into an adventuring group of elves and humans, helped them out, learned to appreciate elven type stuffs unlike most Dwarves, learned a few of their languages, hung out with them for a while, left to have adventures with Tolir in the north, ran into Trahald the Tainted and makes toys for him

Other: gots a white and gold pony named Pooftop

_________________________________________________

Name: Tolir

Race/Gender: human/male

Appearance: one of those huge, scary, but harmless looking type dudes, bright red skin from working with Dwarves and not having skin as resistant as their's, brown hair, brown eyes, very Dwarvish looking clothes, pretty good armour he made himself while hanging out with Dwarves

Personality: definitely a follower, if he was left alone, he wouldn't know what to do with himself, he'd have to find some place to work for someone, not very smart, not much of a personality, is usually quiet and thinking to himself, doesn't like to talk to most people, but is superly loyal. I made him to make fun of people that like playing humans in fantasy RPGs so he's supposed to be boring.

Weapons: a huge battle axe and a dirk in his boot

History: born in a small town north of the Shire, went to some Dwarves in the Grey mountains to become a blacksmith, when he was coming back to his hometown, he found that his family had been killed by trolls, he joined a group of elves and humans on some quest, ran into Boffin, they ran into Trahald the Tainted later, he is happily working for him as a bodyguard

Other: gots a horse named Fred, but he's boring, too

_________________________________________________

Name: Bugburz

Race/Gender: Orc/male

Appearance: short, hunched over, weaselly looking dude, black skin, big nostrils, nasty teeth, wears brown rags and orc-mail, has a small round shield with a red eye on it

Weapons: bow and poisoned arrows, short, curved sword

History: born in the northern Misty Mountains, hung out with those goblins from The Hobbit, when they decided to go to the battle of five armies, he decided to go to Moria where lots of other Orcs were having fun, he went to Mordor before all of those crazy Dwarves or the fellowship showed up, heard that some big boss was needing help down there, thought he might run into some old friends of his, hung out in Mordor, almost caught Frodo and the evil sam one time (sorry, I just gave the guy a profile, Tolkien made the dude up), survived the War of the Ring by hiding in a cave somewhere. Yay!

Personality: resents authority, but isn't stupid enough to rebel, thinks only of himself, has no morals whatsoever, likes to flee instead of fight, can't come up with much else right now. oh well. I hear that he's funny, but I'm not used to playing him yet.

_________________________________________________

Name: Knockondor

Race/Gender: one of those giant eagle thingys/Male

Appearance: picture a really really big one of those African fish eagles, sometimes his feathers look a little out of order, but that's just because he's trying to hide little trinkets he steals

Weapons: Well, since it'd look pretty strange to see a giant eagle hopping around on one foot and holding a sword in the other, I'll just say his talons and beak.

History: also born in the northern Misty Mountains, he was unusually small and weak for a giant eagle, but pretty much everybody accepted him anyways, because of his superly small self esteem, he always made crazy stories up, some of which actually turned out harmful to people who believed him, the eagles learned not to pay much attention to him, which made him fly away and get lost because he never was very good with directions, seeing that he was alone, some orcs shot him down and started interrogating him since he was the first giant eagle they ever caught, if he actually knew anything important, he would have told them, but of course he didn't and made up all kinds of craziness, Truor came to rescue him, his brothers found him and Radagast fixed him up, nowadays, he wanders Middle Earth, annoying and lying to all kinds of different people, but comes back to stay with Truor a lot, trying to repay him in stupid and usually not very helpful ways

Personality: a compulsive and not very successful liar, superly low self esteem, annoying most of the time, but impressive to people who actually believe him, and I can't think of much else right now. I just thought of giving him his own profile.

Dáin Ironfoot I
04-05-2003, 12:04 AM
Name: Dain Ironfoot IV

Race: Dwarf

Sex: Male

Age: 154

Birthplace: The Iron Hills

Home: Travels often, but longs to claim the throne of Erebor.

Family: Son of Dain III, son of Durin VII, son of Thorin III, son of Dain II, son of Nain III, son of Gror, son of Dain I, son of Nain II, son of Oin, son of Gloin, son of Thorin I, son of Thrain I, son of Nain I, son of Durin VI, son of Durin the Deathless. Husband to Kilease Ironfoot, father to Zalek and Kuri.

Appearance: Average Dwarf height of 4'10". Brown-red beard in two forks, brown-red hair, braided in back. Stubby nose similar to most Dwarves but bright blazing brown eyes which some say mirror the fire of Aule's anvil. Wears red copper Dragon Mask, mithril body armor, and black iron gauntlets, boots, and shoulder guards. Gauntlets inscribed with dwarf runes out of ithildin. Kheled-bruk hangs on back and throwing axes in his belt.

Weapon: Kheled-bruk: "Glass [Mirrored] Axe" in Khuzdul. Made of alloy of mithril and steel. Cannot be stained, nearly unbreakable, and mirrors any light upon its surface into an amazing spectacle of colors. 2. Zirik-barak: "Silver axes" in Khuzdul. Throwing axes kept in his sash. 3. A forging hammer ("Felak"), used for crafting, as well as a weapon in close quarters. 4. Chain- used for his inventing, but can be swung overhead as a weapon, also can be fastened with a throwing axe for more damage. Hidden in armor. 5. Small silver dagger ("zirak-zigil") used for picking locks, also used as a small weapon; concealed in his gauntlet

Animal: Mountain Pony, Zaka-kem

Magic: Gifted with the essence of Aule. Dain has limited control over flame and earth.

Personality: Wise for a Dwarf, but sometimes makes hasty decisions. Very aggresive and very stubborn, as are most Dwarves. Quick to make friends but quick to anger, like Dwarves are. His only downfall besides his aggressiveness is his excessive greed. Doesn't fear the Elves and is friends with a few, however, Dain dislikes Orcs and the Men of Mornclaur with a passion.

Item: A small piece of flint and steel in a pouch in his belt and a dragons scale around his neck

Abilities: Resistant to flame, weak against bitter cold. VERY skilled warrior with an axe, but clumsily wields anything else. Wields the passionate flame through his fierce determination and devotion to Mahal.

History: Dain's life is a story of determination, pride, and nobility. After the fall of Erebor to Mornclaur, Dain's mother Dilas, wife of Dain III, fled to the Iron Hills in search of refuge. She was pregnant with Dain (IV) and died in childbirth, never to tell her son whom his real father was or of the noble line he descended from. As a result, he was raised in a small Dwarf town of Khazad-ai-uhm and was treated as the son of the Lord Throrn. Dain was well known for his ability in slaying Dragons, for above the Iron Hills lay a wasteland of what used to be, and a breeding grounds for the surviving Dragons upon Middle Earth. Dain and the small army of Dwarven men and women saved the Dwarf city upon the Iron Hills from Dragons, but failed to do so against the marauding armies of Mornclaur. Gathering what remaining Dwarves he could, he led the refugees into Ered Luin where they set up a small Dwarf city, living in secret and living off of the land. He married his wife Kilease, a fierce and tenacious Dwarf lass, and had two sons: Zalek and Kuri: of each little is known. He has pledged his allegiance to Heren Istarion, and fights valiantly in the name of the West. During the war of Unspeakable Torment, Dain was confronted by Elessar the Grey, the last remaining leader of an order long forgotten. He then emerged with the Ohtar Valaina; and was given the title of Red Wizard of Ohtar Valaina.

This thread will be used also for RPG planning as well with the profiles.

I just had a new idea for a RPG. Ok here is the basic story line I will need help on the details but.

Ok instead of Frodo having to take the ring to Mordor let's say the Council of Elrond thought it will be better for a dwarf to take the ring into Mordor. That is the base of the story. I'm not sure if all of the Fellowship will be the same save frodo and the hobbits.

So any comments on this idea. Yay you could be the hero Gollum in this one since his role will be needed.

YayGollum
04-07-2003, 02:40 AM
Woah! Yikes! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! That is an achingly evil idea! Sure, I'm all for the Dwarf moving the One Ring around idea, but I'd rather not have Gollum in on it. He is way too cool to play. There's way too much to live up to. Too many different people's expectations! Too much pressure! I've been asked to play Gollum too many times and I always say the same thing! I would be the best person around to play poor Smeagol and I won't do it! Argh! Too scary! sorry about that. You can do the story without him. A Dwarf could easily resist the One Ring.

The_Swordmaster
04-07-2003, 02:49 AM
Ok So that means Yay will take the role of Gollum. :D

Alright we will have to work around Gollum so any more ideas for the RPG.

YayGollum
04-07-2003, 03:01 AM
I don't see what's wrong with doing this crazy RPG without poor Smeagol. Don't let somebody do a bad job with it. Anyways, what's so original about stealing the entire plot of LOTR and tweaking it a little bit?

The_Swordmaster
04-07-2003, 03:09 AM
I never said my idea was original. I thought it would be a good dwrf RPG. We need more ideas for RPGs. Yay I still want to do that one with the rings of power thing that we were talking about ealier. We just put that one on hold because we need more members to get the best experience possible.

YayGollum
04-07-2003, 04:40 AM
Yes, yes, yes. I know all of that. I don't see what the big deal is with coming up with all of these crazy ideas. Slow down and think up something original. *hides* sorry for thinking that those are usually more enjoyable than the same old thing.

The_Swordmaster
04-07-2003, 07:46 PM
Ok Yay I will slow down then. Do have any RPG ideas exept the one we already know about.

Aule do you have any updates for that RPG you wanted to do with GoE. Does Glorfindel want to do it also or is he not wanting it.

YayGollum
04-07-2003, 10:33 PM
Yes, a new idea just popped into my head while I was eating lunch. Something about the descendants of Gimli, Legolas, and Aragorn, but it's focused on Gondor right now. I gots to edit it so it'll be focused on that glittering cave place. I'll toss the idea out as soon I fix it.

Swordmaster- The Guild of Elves seem interested in my idea. Glorfindel is behind it 100%.

I thought this thread was a profile thread? Since I am in charge of the RPGing in this guild, I would ask that all posts that are not profiles be deleted. There is a RPG discussion thread, use it please.

The_Swordmaster
04-08-2003, 10:06 PM
Dain I thought I posted it very clearly that this thread will also be used as RPG planning also. To clarify there is no RPG planning thread. The Council of Dwarves is used for ideas for the guild besides RPGs. Dain not to burst your bubble but you are in charge of controlling magic in this guild. RPGs are decided by the whole group not just one person.

Aule do you have any ideas for the GoD, GoE joint RPG. Will we be against each other or fighting with each other.

Name: Shibboleth
Race: Dwarf
Gender: Male

Shibboleth carries a dwarven hammer, which he wields skilfully both as a warrior and as a craftsman. He is always on the lookout for more implements to add to his toolkit, and other artists and builders with whom to exchange relevant lore.

He admires skilled craftsmanship and compliments those who have taken the time to develop and display their talents.

Shibboleth's occasional grumpiness may be attributed to his bewilderment and frustration in an increasingly non-dwarven world, in which few seem to accord either artisans or their works an appropriate degree of respect.

Several Throwing Axes. (http://www.kultofathena.com/throwingaxe.html)
(Note: Chokang usually only carries 3 weapons at once)

Title: Lord of Belegost

Magic: No

Appearance: Dark red hair, with a forked beard, Stubby nose, Gray eyes, 4'5" in height, Dark gray cloak (with hammer & anvil brooch), chain-mail vest underneath a blue and brown long sleeved shirt, Dark brown pants, brown overcoat, which is fastened with a large belt with a hammer & anvil on the buckle.

Armour: Golden helm, black heavy boots with iron soles. Steel/chain-mail arm and leg armour.

Abilities: Can wield both his axe and his hammer/other axe at once, with the same skill as a regular Dwarf can with one.

Family: Son of Bàlang and Kír, Son of Brór, Son of Funúr, Son of Borin II, Son of Fiki, Son of Chokang, Son of Dwalin, Son of Fundin, Son of Farin, Son of Borin. (See URL & Appendix A III: Line of the Dwarves of Erebor)
The Line of Fundin (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=290898)

History: Born in the year 846 of the Fourth Age, Chokang II faithfully served under Dain III Ironfoot as a messenger until the year 990, when an elf called Eve became ruler of the Iron Hills. The insult of being led by Elf resulted in many Dwarves leaving the region, and Chokang II formed a group of rebels who lived on the outskirts of the kingdom in everlasting hope that Eve would be overthrown.

Their wishes were granted when in the year 997, Mornclaur overran the Khazum Kingdom, and gained control of the Iron Hills. Chokang's rebels returned to the Hills and gladly served under Dengen, earning the trust of the Dark Legion. After a couple of years, he was sent away into Far Harad and Rhun to be trained as warrior for Mornclaur's forces, and was gone for almost a year.

During his absence, Chokang's father, Bàlang, once again yearned for the Dwarves to have independence from the other races, and sensing that Chokang may have been becoming evil, he sent him to Heren Istarion to learn the ways of Middle Earth and to hopefully become accustomed to Elves.
Before he could graduate though, he was recruited into Mornclaur's forces during the March from the North, and served in Forodwaith. During this time, Chokang's father, Bàlang was appointed Lord of Belegost by the Dark Legion.

When Chokang returned to Heren Istarion, he was never the same, and after killing a few squirrels, he was punished by Ingolemo (stable duty in fact). Such was the outrage of Chokang, that he left Heren Istarion forever and vowed revenge, swearing a terrible oath that he would do everything in his power to reduce Heren Istarion to rubble.
Before leaving, Chokang learnt of Bàlang's death in a skirmish to the east of Belegost, and therefore accepted the Helm of Azaghâl since he was the rightful heir to the lordship. Upon returning to the Iron Hills, he met up with his brother, Grokang, and travelled with him to Ered Luin, becoming the Lord of Belegost.

Personality: Quite a cheerful character when amongst other Dwarves but has a fervent dislike of Elves. Has a personal vendetta against Heren Istarion, and will not speak of his stay there. Very emotional in battle, and has the skill to lift the spirits of his army, even in the most dire straights. Deep in his heart, he yearns for freedom from the Dark Legion, but is satisfied for the present, and knows that the best thing for his people is to remain a part of Mornclaur's forces. Like most Dwarves, he quickly makes allies, and just as quickly makes enemies. But Chokang's memory is long, and he rarely forgets what has occurred in the past.

Other: A brown pony by the name of Moja (in memory of Chokang I's valiant pony), given as a gift to Chokang by his great uncle, Berung. Moja is one of the strongest and fastest of all the ponies west of the Misty Mountains.

He is a much better at doing more sword dancing type things then actuall fighting.

History: Thror grew up in the Blue Mountins untill he was 68 years old. When he was living in there he was mostly studying and practicing with an anvil. He was very bright even at an early age. He spent counless hours reading and expanding his knowledge. Through his studies he learned many langauges besides Khuzdul. He learned Westron, Sindarin, Quenya and he knows some Black Speech but he's not fluent in it. He learned the Elvish langauges even though he doesn't like elves. He mostly learned them because of thier usefullness in the outside world. he also learned to make wonderous statues and decroctive weapons that he likes to show off alot.

When Thror finally left the Blue Mountins for more knowledge in the world. He started training for speed and to become a better at weilding weapons. While travling to Methedas for he heard that it was a great place of knowledge he found a mountin pony and he named him Thainrin. When Thror finally arived at Methedras he found it under an evil dwarf's controll named Lord Telchar. He decided to try his luck and see if he could work there. He was not found of evil for he read what orcs and evil did to his familly in ages of old. When Thor first met Lord Telchar he was a little freightened of the evil dwarf. But to his surprise Lord Telchar appointed his servent. Thror was not happy at this but had no choice so he did little jobs for him and such. This gave him his nickname lightfoot for that is what Lord Telchar called him because of his speed on foot and also for getting his jobs done quikly. This helped Thror out because he met all of the dwarves in the city and they all respected him for his knowledge. That's wht when Lord Telchar dieded the other dwarves wanted him to lead Methedras.

Pony: Thror has a pony named Thainrin. Thainrin has brown fur. But he has a light tannish color hair on top of his head and tail.

You need not worry, Swordmaster. I shall be replacing Chokang with another Dwarvish RP character for HI in the near future.
