View Full Version : For what it's worth...
Turgon

I regret to inform you all that as from today I will be requishing my moderator status. Current events have disillusioned me so much that I no longer feel able to represent the forum. I still wish to be an active member of TTF, and hope that nobody takes my resignation personally. My decision has been thought out carefully - weighed upon the scales of past events and future projections... when my heart tells me to leave... can I disobey it?
In regret,
Turgon of Gondolin.
:(
Wow! They're dropping like flies!
Well Turgon, I'm sorry to see that your relinquishing your Mod status. You've always done a fine job as a moderator, and TTF will be worse off because of your self-imposed 'demotion'.
Anyway, welcome back to the ordinary 'riff-raff' of the forum. :D

Turgon, I must admit I am rather surprised by this turn of events! I hope you will reconsider your decision as the forum is a much better place with you having the capability to make a difference as a Moderator.
I can only hope and trust that you are not being undermined in any way in your role as that would shameful and frankly quite pathetic. Will the truth out itself I wonder? Have you exhausted every avenue in trying to resolve the issues that concern you?

This is getting worse by the week!
In short succesion, three mods have left. What is going on, I wonder?
I will surely miss Turgon as a moderator, but as a member of the Ost-in-Edhil, I also feel happy about it.
You have obviously concidered this for some time, Turgon, so I will not ask you to reconsider.
Yhank you very much for what you have done as a mod. I hope that you will stay in the Forum, and keep posting.

I'm sorry to hear that Turgon. I wish you would tell us what's bothering you.
It is a shame about those events causing disillusion. I expect that you know best Turgon, whatever is going on.
I'm glad we'll still have you around here as a member, and I hope that TTF has not/will not lose any of its enjoyment for you because of the other stuff. That would be sad.

I'm sorry to hear that, Turgon! I have always thought of you as a very good moderator, and the forum will be really worse without your wise decisions! But of course, if you don't like it anymore yourself you shouldn't go on with it... I hope being a normal member will still be a source of fun for you.

I am saddened by this. I wouldn’t quite put it as dropping like flies. This is another hard hit to the forum. I hope you reconsider, but I also hope you are happy with whatever decision you choose to make.

Actually it is 3 Mods in one month, and they aren't leaving, just stepping down as Mods.

I would expect Mike, that you would be examining every avenue and reason behind this decision, rather than simply accepting it. If something is not right, then I imagine you will be doing everything in your power to put it right...considering Moderators do not take such decisions lightly. It would a shame if this particular Moderator felt let down by a lack of support from yourself in such matters.

The whole thing already is a shame!

I don't know what the events are, or why Turgon feels that he can not or should not represent the forum, but it is a shame.
After seeing what Ancalagon has said here, I am growing more concerned.
Frankly, I wonder if someone/some people (and I am not speaking of Turgon) have given priority to the wrong thing(s)?
What is going on that Turgon feels he should not be a mod.
Whatever is going on, I imagine it is not good for this forum. It is that simple.

I'm not sure what is happening but if two of the best mods in TTF have resigned from their positions, then they must feel that there is something amiss in the forum.
Not a good sign IMO.
You really did it Turgon.:(

OMG, not another one!
Come on you people, we shouldn't be complaining about how all of the moderators are no longer moderators. We should be thanking them for all of the hard work they have put in to making this site what it is. Thank you, Turgon, for everything you have given this site; time, effort, and good ideas. Thank you, Turgon.

I am very saddened to hear of this recent turn of events. For what it is worth, I have always had great respect for your role as moderator Turgon...you were a fine good moderator and this is indeed a great loss to us all.
I only hope that whatever led you to resign does not prevent you from coming onto TTF altogether. For that would indeed be a shame. :(

I am most sorry to learn about your decision, Turgon, nonetheless I would like to thank you for what you've done in the past as a moderator.
