OCC: I don't know if I should be starting this thread, or if one of the officials should, but if I shouldn't be starting it, I ask that it be deleted.
IC: Avari walked into the forest, and looked around. Nobody had arrived yet, and everything was as she had left it the day before. The trees were dense, there were moss mats on the floor, and no light came through. It was very warm, even with no sunlight. She sat down in the lotus position. She had decided that for her first lesson, she wouldn't go to hard on the people. She did not expect any dwarves or hobbits, as they are in general not very flexible, and probably not suitable for Hatha. She had arrived a bit early, so that people could ask her a few questions (if they wanted to) before the lesson began. She wandered who all would show up, if anybody would, and who would be there just to try Hatha, and who would join. Her thoughts wandered as she awaited her peers.

OOC:

Although I will not take this extracurricular activity, I will be watching this thread extensively and from time to time running my post checks (what us trainers do in our training threads where we give critism for posts)

Cel walked up to Avari sitting on the ground. "Mellon, what is this lesson? May I join you?"
OOC: What is Hatha? Is it sumthing you made up or is it really sumthing that goes on in our world? (slap me if I'm being stupid)

OCC: First of all, no that is not a stupid question. Hatha is short for Hatha Yoga. All of the moves and postures that my RP character teaches here ARE real, and people actually do them on a daily basis.
IC: Avari, keeping her eyes closed, said, "Anyone who is willing to come may join me, and this lesson is Hatha. You do not have to take it, and it is here to help you relax and blow off steam. Why don't we see if anyone else shows up, yet for now, I will just show you the Lotus Position. You just copy my posture, back straight, and relax all of your muscles. Also, breathe deeply and slowly. In through the nose, out through the mouth." Avari demonstrated. She was sitting cross-legged, yet instead of her feet under her thighs, they were on top of her thighs. Her back was perfectly straight, and her palms facing upwards on her knees.

OOC: Ohhhhh I get it now. Ya, I've heard of the lotus position and stuff.
IC: Cel sat down in the position and let herself relax. The fresh air swaying her loose hair, she cleared her mind for awhile of the pain of the world.

Avari got up, and pinned a peice of paper on one of the many trees. It read:
RULES:
No horseplay
This is not a sparring OR a tumbling class
PLEASE do not bet in class(I knew people who did this:rolleyes: )
Show respect
No weapons

She then re-assumed her Lotus position, and went deep into thought, trying to steer clear of family thoughts. Eventually, she gave up thinking, and just relaxed, thinking only of her breathing.

Avari looked around. No one else had shown up. "Alright. It appears that no one else wishes to take a lesson. The next thing that I am going to show you is called Salute to the Sun." She demonstrated once. "This is going to get you feeling really warm, and it is also going to relax your muscles. If the one that I showed you is to easy, I can show you a tougher one." Avari chose to do a level three, which was hard even for her.

After a while, Avari looked around. The lesson was almost over. "We are just going to end this lesson with a Lotus Position." Avari got into the lotus position, and let all of her muscles relax.
