If you could answer any of these I would be very grateful:
What are the different kinds of Elves? (Noldor, Sindarin etc.)
How many are there?
What can they do?
What are the names?
What language do they speak?
Is there anything else about them?
Thank you

The other kind are called the Vanya (if i remember correctly), there are many of them, but they all went to Valinor and their leader is the high king of all elves anywhere he is called Eonwe (i think), im not sure of any other names i guess they speek Vanyaran  and they can do just the same as other elves could, but they had their own strengths i think like the Noldor were good metal smiths and fighters.
Then there are the Teleri, they for the most part stayed in Middle Earth until the final Elves went to Valinor, they used the bow and arrow more than the sword, and they were ship builders, there leader in the later days was Círdan, and the Teleri were the Woodelves...

Based on all the information found in the published Silmarillion:
In the beginning all of the elves were together but many of them broke away from the group, setting out West for the Undying Lands, and these are the Eldar. Those who stayed out in the East are called Avari, and they were sundered long from the Eldar.
Of the Eldar there are 3 kindreds: Noldor, Vanyar, and the Teleri.
All of the Vanyar, most of the Noldor, and much of the Teleri made it to the Undying Lands in the far west. These are called Calaquendi (the elves of light), they have seen the light of the trees in Valinor. Any elves that turned aside on the march or were lost are called the Umanyar by the Calaquendi. The Umanyar and the Avari are both called Moriquendi (elves of darkness) since they did not see the light in the undying lands.
Of the Teleri:
A portion of the group broke away from the host of the Teleri about half way through the March to the Undying Lands. These were called the Nandor. They later moved further west near their Sindarin kin, and were called the green elves.
Of the Teleri that made it into the West of Middle-earth, some did not sail over the sea to the Undying lands. Of these there are the Sindar (or Grey Elves), and the Falathrim, who dwelt along the Sea and Cirdan was their lord.
The Sindar spoke Sindarin, and those elves who went to the Undying Lands spoke Quenya, and when some of them returned to Middle-earth, they took up the Sindarin language.
Now the teleri who made it to the Undying Lands had their own language, I am not sure but I think it would be called Telerin?
There is much about the languages that I do not know. there was apparantly a Noldorin language, for example.
The Teleri were great singers and some of them the greatest ship-makers, the Noldor great craftsman, and the most wise of the 3 kins. The Vanyar were the beautiful.
In the third age:
Silvan elves are those of Lothlorien and probably of Sindarin/Nandor origin?
Wood elves, I think is used only for those elves of Mirkwood.
The high elves were most in Rivendell... these are Noldor who had came from the Undying Lands back to Middle-earth in the First age.

Perfect Nom.
As for the languages, there are three besides the language of the Valar, which is Quenya.
Telerin, as named by Nom, is a language indeed.
Sindarin, spoken by the Sindar.
Nandorin is the language spoken by the Noldor.
With the language of the Valar being spoken less every day, the most common elven language spoken in the third Era has become Sindarin.

Also, Quenya was spoken amoungst the three kindreds. They each had different dialects, but it was still Quenya all the same. Telerin is probably the most different of the three. You might want to look at this site:
Ardalambion (http://www.ardalambion.com)
This is probably one of the best sites for information on Tolkien's languages.

That site is fairly common knowledge around here, Anubis.
Quenya was the first language of all the elves, but Sindarin had become the most spoken elven language at the end of the 3rd era. (as stated in the same site and in tolkien's works.)

Actually, Silvan. However, by the time LOTR rolled around, most spoke the (basically) universal Sindarin.
