This is not really a matter of favorites, Milonna.

If you wish to learn the languages, the best way to proceed is by learning Quenya, as the others will be easier to learn after that.

Quenya is the easiest to learn, as there is more written material of it.

Sindarin is also quite well known, but has less written material.

Nandorin (as being the language of the Noldor) has the least of written material, which makes it hard to create even the easiest of sentences.

So after having said this, Quenya is the best language to learn.

Scatha, are you sure the Noldor used Nandorin language? I think they spoke Quenya after leaving Valinor and most of them switched to Sindarin when Thingol banned their tongue. The Nandor are a distinct group of the Avari, or at least so do I think.

I have posted this earlier in a discussion, where a few of our tolkienologists were in and never was it said to be incorrect.

All right, but can you, please, quote Tolkien stating this?

For a litteral quote by Tolkien, you should be asking this question at the Guild of Tolkienology. I don't think you'd like a quote in dutch, which might be the only one I can provide you.

You can find it at: www.ardalambion.com

The language files can be found at the Nandorin section. :)
