Hello all, I would like to ask you to be PJ for a moment, and list/explain how u would make ROTK. Basically, YOU BE THE DIRECTOR!! (Obviously remembering that this movie is for both fans of the book and non readers of fine 20th Centuty literature)
For eg, I assume, ROTK will start with Shelob, what would u present to the audience next, would u be true to the book, or would u add your own free creative license (Eg PJ Wargs and too many other incidents to mention). You are the director remember!
Here is my take
*Shelob and Minas Morgul/Cirith Ungol
*The riders of Rohan ride back to Edoras, Gandalf and Pip fly to Minas T
*Minas T scene,where show how city is preparing for battle
*Soldies coming into Minas T.
*Cross back to the dark forces armies building up
*F and S reach the Morgul road
*Introduce Denethor, and his relationship with Faramir.Faramir sent away to fight to his death by Denethor.
*Aragorn takes Paths of Dead
*Battle scene at Pellanor Fields
*Again more fighting, riders of Rohan arrive- big fight scene-Theoden dies.Eowyn and Merry at scene (dont leave this out PJ!)
*Aragorn arrives up Great river on ship (they better not cut this out!!)
*Aragorn refuses to take the throne, and camps out of the city
*F and S get captured.
*More fighgting at Minas T- Nazgul come.
*Cross back to Gandalf, Aragorn and co preparing to divert Sauron's attention and march to the Black gates.
*Show the desperateness of their last crusade, let audience see this.
*Sauron's leading Leut, presents Frodo's clothes to company
*F and S escape, then begin the trek to Mt Doom- Gollum following
*Black Gate opens - Arargorn and co there-big fight scene.
*F and S continue to Mt Doom, show Sauron's armies- the enormity of it)
*Frodo/Gollum on Mt Doom, (Sauron finally aware of Frodo and his location),ring cast in by Gollum.
*Eagle carries F and S back to field of Cormallen.?!?
*Aragorn and Arwen marry, Eowyn cracks the shits and runs off to have a fling with Gimli!!!
*Grey Havens..........
Obviously this is a very brief account of what I would love to happen, Im sure I have missed many important points as well.. Obviously Arwen most likely will have more influence in PJ's ROTK than mine.
I WOULD LOVE YOUR VIEWS AND TAKE ON THIS. mIGHT MAKE A FUN POST. See ya HH
