I found this on www.theonering.net:

ROTK Spoilers! Saruman, Grima & SAURON News!
Xoanon @ 12:31 pm EST
Angelus is not a new spy to us, he/she has sent along information and we KNOW she/he has insider contacts from all over the biz. Take a look at what he has to say, some interesting bits of info that I know some of you will hate to hear. Plus that spikey wheel returns (I cannot WAIT until I prove all you non-spikey wheel people wrong...we posted that story YEARS ago!). Anyways, as always take all this with a grain of salt, but know that this didn't come from a random fanboy....it has cred.
I have a friend who told me about Return of the King, first thing, Sauron will be standing off against Aragorn in hand to hand combat.

Men of Gondor surround them both and Legolas shouts "Aragorn!" as a warning, then Aragorn with Anduril in hand rushes the Dark Lord who looked like he was in different armor than when we saw him in the prologue. It is not an even fight and Aragorn is nearly knocked to death as the countdown to the destruction of the ring begins. I guess the goal is to make the audience wonder if the ring will be destroyed before Aragorn is smeared all over Mordor!

Another thing I saw was the death of Saruman. Grima slits Saruman's throat and kicks him over the edge of Orthanc where he is impaled on the wheel, then Legolas shoots an arrow high into the air and is laughed at by Grima as it soars over his head, as Grima is mocking the seemingly inaccurate Legolas the arrow comes spiraling down straight through Grima's skull!

This all sounds pretty cool, if it's true! I can hardly wait to see it! What do you think?

I don't really like the thought of The Scouring of the Shire being left out of the RotK. I also don't like to think of Aragorn fighting Sauron, because in real life Sauron would completely kick Aragorn's rear. :D ;)

Oh good god! This sounds awful! Is this Hollywood or Tolkien? The scene is completely butchered and totally untrue to the spirit of that scene! Ick.

Hmmm, ithryn, you're right, that scene is not like the books of course. It would be much better to have it the way it was in the books. I was referring more to the fight between Aragorn and Sauron, I think that could work very well on screen (and Eliot, it does say Aragorn gets kicked around by Sauron). I would like to see it!

Celebathôil is my numba1fan and I thank him/her(?) for all his/her(?) support.

As anyone knows, who has followed the top rated thread in this part of the forum: (You know where to click! (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11065) ) then many a fantastic insight, into the eagerly awaited RotK movie, has been thrown on the table; like a frothy mug of ale on the bar of The Prancing Puny!

Anyone who hasn't been there, WHY NOT!

You've missed this: Sauron's Transformation Sequence from RotK (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=307225)

and SO much more!

It's not unusual.

Seriously though, Michelle really loses credibility because he doesn't cite his sources or claims originality in several instances where he has obviously drawn from other sources.

Oy! If PJ honestly throws in that nonsense about Aragorn fighting Sauron in RoTK, I will personally vomit on the screen at the movie theatre. How could he even THINK of deviating that far from the book? I would hope that even the most die-hard movie fan who considers themselves a lover of Tolkien's LoTR would be outraged at PJ for such a travesty.

I sure hope that that is an unfounded rumor. I'm getting queasy to even think that PJ would have the audacity to do that to loyal Tolkien fans. Even that ridiculous move would put the Arwen at the Fords fiasco to shame!

My mantra of old: DOWN WITH PJ!!!!

Wow, haven't seen you in a while Thorin.

As to Sauron fighting Aragorn it seems so logical that I'm afraid it's really going to happen. And I'll still like the movies, from a movie pov. As an adaptation it's pretty much gone already.

I think as solely movies they are very good (of course arguably so), but if I continued to look at them as an adaptation I would become rather bitter.

Well in reality was a sort of "Confrontation" between Aragorn and Sauron in the books.

That happened when Aragorn confronted Sauron using the Palantiri.

Maybe PJ is going to visualize this as an actual battle. But certainly wasnt at the gates of Mordor.

Anyone seen the update to that post on OneRing.net about Aragorn fighting Sauron?
Another OneRing spy reports that it is the Mouth of Sauron that Aragorn fights infront of the black gates.

And although i dont like the idea of Aragorn getting "knocked down" by the Mouth of Sauron, i like the idea better than a Sauron fight.

Woah! I think that I got here just in time to prevent an all out war!. This is a misunderstanding folks! Aragorn DOES NOT
fight Sauron at the black gate, but the mouth of Sauron who attacks them into a battle. This was a misunderstanding which probably would have caused a riot here any moment. ;)

But the news about Saruman, unfortunatly they seem to be true, since the scouring of the shire has been removed, Saruman will meet his end in Isengard

Possible Spoiler

I'm not too thrilled about the infamous spikey wheel scene. But at least it's still Grima who kills him, and he'll prob be just about dead before he falls out of the window, so I can handle that.

Can't say I'm surprised that Aragorn and the Mouth of Sauron will face off.

BTW, here's another spoiler I got off TORn:

ROTK Spoilers?!
Xoanon @ 3:23 pm EST
Ringer Spy Bregedalagos, who is new to us, and therefore cannot yet take everything a red, sends this in. So take this all with a mountainside laden with salt!

I managed to find some very interesting Return of the King spoilers info from a source very close to the film. Mainly, it regards the seige of Gondor, and events closely related to it.

When Denethor is on the pyre, burning, we see a closeup of the palantir that he grasps, and in it, we see a flash-ahead to the destruction of Barad-Dur, and the Nazgul falling in flames. Gandalf is there, as well as Pippin.

Gandalf says to Pippin, "Sauron could not conquer him like Saruman, but he concealed the true hope, and so Denethor was deceived." In response, Pippin says, "None of us are safe then." Gandalf's response is "We cannot be truly safe while Sauron rules."

Shortly after this, Beregond comes in, and sees Denethor's body. He simply says, "Such a waste of one so strong against the East."

Yeah, this is the part I hate. Rumors flying everywhere, feelings of "uh-oh" and "cool" and months to wait to see if it's true or not.

Can.........not......wait......

I love those bigger versions of the pics. Esp love seeing Merry and Pippin both wearing their armour. :) And I love how Frodo has some of Shelob's web stuck to him in that pic of him in her lair. And the massive versions of the Aragorn pics leave me speechless, but I think that's just because I wanna marry Viggo, (just don't tell my hubby). ;)

Hmm.... This is all well and good. I just absolutely, along with Gandalf White, not wait at all. It's gonna be so cool to see all of the ends come up and tie at the very end. But I'll mis the Scouring of the Shire... :(

Haldir in RotK. I am sure this is pure rubbish, but it was fun to read.

FotR, The Fellowship is leaving Lothlorien, and Galadriel tells Aragorn that they won't meet again. This presumably means that she won't be at the wedding (I'm pretty sure there'll be a wedding - they're always box office, which PJ would know).

I'm a bit sad that without the scouring of the Shire, Old Lobelia Baggins won't get her reforming moment.
