How many of you have a step-something? If you do, what do you think of them? Are they evil and get on your nerves all the time? Or are they really cool and really part of your family? Or are they not as close as your blood family, but are still cool?

I went for the bathroom thing since it seemed like the most neutral thing. Everyone in my stepfamily is different. My stepmother and one stepbrother and some stepcousins and aunts and grandparents are annoying. The other stepbrother and some stepcousins and uncles are cool, though.

Mm...I don't gots a step-anything. But I would think they would be a tad scary, but mostly cool once you get used to them. It probably depends on how long you've been living with them.

uh, where is the bathroom???
I have no idea about step people....some of my friends seem to like their step people, and some don't...so....where is the bathroom?

Oops- I hit 'I haven't got a step anything', but I forgot that I have a step-grandfather. My parents' dads both died young (Mom's was a pastor, and he died suddenly when she was 7, and Papa's was a sheriff deputy- he was shot when Papa was 12, I think), so my parents both had step-fathers- Papa's died early, too, though.

Meh~ I don't mind. My step ppl are cool. Once you get used to them, it's kinda like having cousins that live with you. It's fun -just more presents at christmas time!

My step-people are half evil and half cool, but I have so many other complications going on I swear my life could be a novel. Or a sitcom. I've got three step-people, all recently aquired: a mom and two sisters. Now, this is a huge shock for my normalicy, cause I have always lived in a house full of men, what with my only family being my dad and older brother. Additionally, both step sisters are younger than me. I'm not the baby anymore. My step mom is totally cool in every way. The older of my two sisters, Samantha, is thirteen, and a sister after my own heart. She's an internet geek, as well as a pyromaniac. :D But my youngest step sister, Euginie, is eleven and a royal pain in the neck. She steals my shoes, she burns up my candles, everything annoying that you've ever heard little sisters doing. Eventually she's going to steal my dresses when she goes out on dates. Blarch. Oh, and to top it ALL off, every one of the steps is French. Born and bred in France. Mom is perfectly bilingual, Sam speaks pretty good English, but Eug hardly speaks English at all. So yeah, get actors to replace us all and stick us on at 5:00 eastern/central and you got yourself a hit sitcom. Heh.

*Sighs and smiles* Poor HG. Oh, the laments of the middle sibling. You have my sympathy, not that it will do much. But I understand. I have three brothers who are the same way, though there isn't the language barrier. You'll get used to it, I promise, though I doubt little Eug will get less annoying. But it will help your patience, little by little, even if you don't realize it. ;)

Aww. <huggles Kailita> Thanks. I feel better now. <feels all warm and fuzzy>
<warm fuzzy feeling disolves as little sister bursts in on her posting demanding something incoherent>
Ah well. As the Beatles say, "La la la la life goes on." :D:D

What you need is to learn a few French expletives. ;)
