Hi,
I thought we should start a Guild of people that love Cats. It can be any kind of cat you like. If you like Cats, join this Guild. I will also try and find good websites related to Cats. I specifically like the Tiger. :)

Our shelter at the Abington, Pennsylvania SPCA is way beyond capacity for cats. This is the height of kitten season, and more unwanted litters are brought in everyday; most of them will be destroyed. A lucky few may be adopted.We have 20 cages. Yesterday, we had 67 cats. Those without cages are euthanized. For god's sake, spay or neuter your cat. Kittens can become pregnant as young as 5 months. If you are local to us, please drop by and save a life. It is always harder to find homes for the older cats. Please consider them too. Here are our current orphans:

I live in Washington and I have 4 (spayed and neutered) cats already! I'm sorry even if I did live there I couldn't help although I'd want to. So sorry I hope those babies find homes.

In other words, mixed bloods.

Ivanhoe is shorthaired white with black spots like a holstien cow and spring green eyes.

Noel has blue eyes and is long haired cream with rust points.

I gots two cats right now. I hear that another is coming tomorrow or the next day.

The ones I gots now --->

Mr. Perkins ---> Wasn't our's to begin with, so he's an older cat. Long and gray and white-haired. Blue-eyed. The stupidest cat I've ever had, and I've had a lot.

Ally ---> Also belonged to someone else and is older and fatter than Perkins. Long and black and brown-haired. Green-eyed. Very evil most of the time. Likes getting stroked by bare feet, though.

How much can a guild like this talk about? Why not make things more broad? The guild of Animal Lovers or something.

Yay, I think she's just annoyed because you seem to be throwing a wet blanket on our fire, and even if it is a small, insignificant fire, it is our fire. We're having fun with it.

What she said was actually pretty good advice, if harshly stated. If you don't think this guild has a purpose, it might be good for you to go somewhere where you could have more fun or start your own animal lovers guild if you really think that is what is needed.

Hello hello- I was wandering around aimlessly, but then I spotted this place and came in to say I love cats!

We have three, all very very black; Sabriel, who's about a year and a half old and lives in the house, and her kittens (the two we kept out of five), Gawaine and Morwen, who live outside on account of they wouldn't leave Mom's carpet alone...And when my grandmother moves, we will be taking back the kitten she was keeping (complicated situation), Gareth (the other two kittens were Gaheris and Agravaine).

Hello, all! I was trodding through the halls of this noble Community, and happened upon this place. I am an avid cat lover. I have three wonderful Kitties who share my abode. No, I must say that it is they who own it, not I. They do, however, allow me to sleep there, and to store my things there, as well as prepare their meals, provide entertainment, and provide them with all the affection that they could ever want. I don't believe that I can join this Guild, as I have asked for consideration of my application to join the Guild of Tolkienology. Nevertheless, I simply could not resist coming in to speak of my love of these adorable creatures, and I thank you for allowing me to do so.

Well, there were four boys- 'twas natural. There is a rule that cats have to have literary names; the cat we had to leave behind in Japan was Gandalf, and before that we have Guinevere, PussnBoots (my sister named him), Rogue- lots and lots of barn cats.

Um, I lived there for three years because my dad's in the US Air Force. On the outskirts of Tokyo. I've been back in the states for almost a year now, and I had to leave my cat behind in Japan.

Alexander tends to use cats in his writing a bit. He also did in "The Remarkable Misadventures of Sebastian" and I think he has a book entitled "The Cat Who Wished to Be a Man" which I haven't read.

I don't think Tolkien ever owned a cat. It wasn't mentioned in the Carpenter Bio if he did.
