YayGollum

Yes, I grew out of those Redwall books a while ago. Sure, Mossflower was good, but I like that Outcast Of Redwall book a little better. :D I wish I remembered the nameses from those books. oh well. Shall look in on this place every now and then. What's that about a warrior?

Ah. Got it. This is an RPG type place. If I remembered all of the different types of characters there were in this series, I'd ask for position. oh well. Sure, I'll join. Why not? I'll catch up on the new bookses that I haven't paid attention to.

Yes, I agree. It's one of my favorites. :) I guess I'll join this guild then.

My favorites of the series (in publishing order):

The Long Patrol
Marlfox
The Taggerung
Triss

I guess they're all pretty cool, but those above this sentence stood out at me more than the others. :) I can't wait for Loamhedge. I'm expecting it to be really cool.

What's everybody's favorite creature? I REALLY love the Hare's more then anything else. Just because the Hare's of Salamandastron were so militaristic. :)

YayGollum
07-02-2003, 03:32 AM
Well, I already wrote that I can't remember every little thing about this, but oh well. Sea rats, otters, badgers, moles, and a few little things that are hardly ever in there are the most achingly cool things I can think of right now. Like lizards and snakes and a few kinds of birdses.

Talierin
07-02-2003, 05:50 AM
I like squirrels, hares, sea otters, otters, and the hawks the best......

I actually have a list of *every* character ever in the books... there's an average of about 100 to a book, heh... HUGE list... one of these days I need to organize it and stick it on my website.

Aerin

A Redwall fan club!? I'm in! :D I have all the Redwall books, in hardbound no less!, and am still an avid fan, no matter how old I get.

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of Loamhedge. I'll be so mad if Britain gets it before America...

Really? Wow... that's harsh! Usually, it's just a couple of weeks or months difference, not an entire year.

Has anyone read Castaways of the Flying Dutchmen, also by Brian Jacques? If I remember correctly, he's going to make it into a series. I have the first book, Castaways, and I really enjoyed it. I hope he writes more soonly! :D

Well can I join I just saw this and I'm a fan of Redwall but that was about 1 year ago and now I forgot a little. I would really like to join but I remember the main things of most of the books so I'll be fine. I have not read all of them but I would have to say Lord Brocktree is my favorite. I remember readin a lot of them I just can't remember the names of them.

YayGollum

I used to read these books constantly. The one thing that got old after awhile was the fact that the villains are ALWAYS vermin or foxes, etc. My favorite book in the series is The Long Patrol. The hares are by far the best! Eulaliaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! The "Sparra" in the first few books were awesome too.

YayGollum
07-07-2003, 10:18 PM
It this isn't supposed to be an RPG type place, why are you asking for a warrior type? Or is it just supposed to be a rank type thing for people who have fun with those? I don't know. just wondering. Anyways, can someone start talking about the plots of the bookses that came after that Pearls Of Lutra thing? I think that was the last book I read. Maybe not.

lets start discussing triss

who wants to get the ball rolling

cardanas

triss is a squirrel slave who escapes
meanwhile a teenage badger runs away from salamandastron

YayGollum
07-11-2003, 03:17 AM
Slave who escapes from what? Why does a teenage badger run away? Things like that.

cardanas
07-11-2003, 01:32 PM
ive posted the members list please check it

also would anyone be up for a redwall themed rpg

YayGollum
07-11-2003, 09:12 PM
Why were my questions ignored? Sure, I have no problem with paying attention to you, though. You forgot the capitalization in my name. Anyways, I'd jump into a Redwall themed R.P.G. I'd need a list of races for me to choose from since I've forgotten a lot of them.

triss:
enslaved by the evil ferret king agarnu of riftgardand his cruel daughter, kurda, the brave squirrelmaid triss plans a daring escape by sea.

at the same time, far away in salamandastron, three young companions sail away from their mountain hime too,but for a very different reason-they are seeking adventure.

meanwhile,in mossflower woods, a pair of wandering dibbuns accidentally discover the entrance to brockhall, ancient home of the old badger lords

Oh sorry my computer was messed up for a week so I'm going to have to catch up on everything. I'm going to have to get the book "Triss."

Eliot

I was gone for a whole week of camp, so I wasn't home.

YayGollum
07-15-2003, 12:41 AM
I'm still reading. How many days did nothing happen in here? oh well. I'd love to get a list of all of the races I could use in an RPG. Still. Anyways, that Triss thing doesn't sound especially interesting. Are there any memorable characters? The main characters are hardly ever interesting.

Eliot
07-15-2003, 02:25 AM
I'll try to list all the different creatures:

Mice (there are a few varieties like, Field Mice, River Mice, if I remember correctly)
Squirrels
Moles
Hedgehogs
Badgers
Hares
Otters
Rats
Ferrets
Weasels
Stoats
Foxes

Those are the basic creatures. I don't think I forgot any, though there's a good chance I could've, since I haven't read any of the_books since January/February.

There are a lot of minor types of creatures, like:

Various birds
Seals
and some others.

YayGollum
07-16-2003, 01:48 AM
*whines* oh well. I remember lizards in there every now and then. I don't remember any seals, though. Wouldn't those be achingly huge compared to everything else? oh well. I think I'll flip through a few of my bookses sometime. Anyways, you didn't answer my question about that Triss thing.

YayGollum
07-18-2003, 02:25 AM
Nah. I hate the ways the hares talk. Ick. oh well. I just looked through the books that I have and found that I'd have to read through all of them to be satisfied enough to make a good character for an RPG. oh well. Have fun. I'll watch.

the only books you have to read to make a good character are: mossflower, redwall and pearls of lutra/mariel

YayGollum
07-20-2003, 12:19 AM
Why do you say that? just because those have some of your facorite characters? I have no idea. Well, I've read all of those books, but I'd have to read them all over again to get up to date and smart enough to make an achingly authentic character. No offense. just my need for perfection. I'll watch. Or at least demand more details on the newer bookses that I probably won't get to.

cardanas
07-20-2003, 05:46 PM
would the new rpg have to be in middle_earth rpg.com
i hate that site:mad:

YayGollum
07-21-2003, 02:28 AM
I'm not a huge fan of the place, either, but why do you hate it? Anyways, I don't think they'd want us to be playing an RPG based on Redwall type books in a place that was made for LOTR type RPGs. just make another thread for it in this section. Plenty of the smaller guilds have done that before. I'd wait to see if there's a little more interest, though. Maybe more people would just rather talk about the books?

You know you can get an avatar there before you have a hundred posts.

Tirmintus
08-19-2003, 11:11 PM
I know, I just need help in getting one on.

Turin
08-20-2003, 03:03 PM
If you want a special avatar you can go to google and search for what you want and if you find something you like then you right click and click save( I don't exactly know if thats right since I use a mac). Then you go to you user cp and go to edit options and at the bottom click change avatar. Then there should be something like "use costom avatar" click yes and click browse, and you can upload one from your computer. I hope that helps.

Tirmintus
08-21-2003, 12:42 AM
I've done that and it still don't work. What is up ith that.

Turin
08-21-2003, 03:27 AM
Well do you have an avatar on your computer?

Tirmintus
08-22-2003, 01:55 AM
Um, how do you figure that out? I don't know much about this avatar stuff.

Turin
08-22-2003, 02:58 AM
An avatar is just a buddy icon and it has to be kinda small, you can go to google and search for something that you want to be your avatar (like your favorite show or something) and type in the name of it and then put "buddy icons" after it. If you find something you like then you can save it on you computer by right clicking on it and clicking save. I think that pretty much covers it, tell me if you have any problems.

Gandalf White
08-26-2003, 03:45 AM
First off, I still love Redwall.

Secondly, I believe you do have to have 100 posts to get an avatar. Don't hold me to it, though...

Turin
