View Full Version : Happy Second Birthday, TheTolkienForum.com!!!
From http://www.thetolkienforum.com/calendar.php?s=&action=getinfo&eventid=54
On August 18th, 2001, THETOLKIENFORUM.com officially became a site all its own, and not simply the forums at THELORDOFTHERINGS.com. Now, just one year later, TTF is considered by many to be one of the best Tolkien discussion forums around. That status, one we all can be proud of, is not the result of good software, or the endeavors of the site's owner. The popularity of THETOLKIENFORUM.com is due to the efforts of each and every TTF member. So, thanks to everyone for a great year one, and year two, three, ....
Congratulations to the Admins and Mods of TTF for such a wonderful 2 years.
I may have only been apart of this forum for 8 months, but I have enjoyed that time greatly, and none of this could have happened without all the behind-the-scenes work by people like Webmaster, ReadWryt and Beorn, who have put countless hours of their own time into this community.
Here's to many more wonderful years for The Tolkien Forum :D :D
PS, No, your clock isn't wrong, it's just that I'm running on Aussie Time, and therefore can celebrate these sorts of things before you. ;)

?I dont get it:confused:
Oh well, I'm not surprised this is one of the bigger forums (Tolkien related) on the net. Google is used by the majority of people, Tolkien Forum is probably one of the most used searches that people could type in if they're looking for a board like this, and we are at the top. But none-the-less, I agree. This the best kept forum i've ever been on, and we have the right balance of jokesters, scholars, and YayGollums to make it perfect:D :p :D

Oops, dangit, I'm mixing my people up again. I know you're a guy, honest, I just wasn't paying attention. Can you tell classes started this week, I did a ten year old's birthday over the weekend, and I got up for early service at church this morning?:o

I'm glad to see that I'm appreciated and am not stuck in some common category, but who are the other YayGollums? *eyes dart around with all kinds of eagerness* Oh, and sure, Yay for this place. Why not? It's my home away from the one in real life.

I wish TTF a most successful future and to become a leading Tolkien-related source of knowledge and information to fully rely on and to reckon with! (Imagine the time when people will say: "... And as it was said in TTF...) :)

Long story....wot the heck...
I wanted to change my name from Celebthôl (Silverhelm) to Laurëthôl (Goldhelm)...as i am blonde and it goes better...but Lanty decides that it is Laurathôl and starts calling me Laura and then Aulë does...and months later here we are with Aulë STILL calling me it
Not really to long :p
