I'm am artistically challenged in many ways...including drawing, painting, and all other forms of those two things.

My work is mostly all digital. They are attempts at using the program 'Terragen', an amzing program you can download off the internet where you disign digital landscapes.

I am much better at digital work than at...un-digital work.

Lifeling is much better, check out his gallery. Ad I thank him because he is the one how told me about it.

So check these out and tell me what you think about my Attempts At Art.

My latest landscape. The sky is good, it looks real. I personally like working with sky and water, because I stink at land. So I always am creative with water and sky to try to hide my unskill land.

Tell me what you think.

Here's another, I have no idea how I made it, but I love it! It was one of my firsts and I was just messing around and I made this!

The Darkness Is Coming

Here's another. I like this one also. They don't give you a choice to put a moon or sun. So I played around for a while trying to get a moon from a sun. It worked! So here you go-

Here's yet another, one of my more recent makings. I like this one also, everything is sort of pink, but that's okay. The land is shadowed, so you can't really see it, so it looks alright!

Window of the Sun

Here's just some weirdo thing I put together while waiting for my picture to render (it takes from 5-10 minutes). All I did was take a couple peices from each landscape and put it together...I am bored...waht can you expect??

I liked them at least...I don't know about anyone else. Hey do you think you could make one of the countryside with lots of trees and green grass and blue skys? I love the country, thats why.

Oh yes, and here's another one I just finished (two parts of the Landscape mix). This one was fun to do...it was quick and simple.

Now this is the fun part of Terragen, with a little practise, everyone can learn to use it, no matter if you have artistic talents or not.

Nice Anne. :)

Btw, I hardly see you at the guild of elves anymore.

No no, this will be a good challenge for me. You can download things at the site, maybe they have trees. I'll look into it and tell you what I find.

And I am very glad that you like my work.

Oh, they're all so wonderful... :D It's kind of hard to pick my favourite for I like them all a lot, but I feel I liked Window of the Sun and The Darkness Is Coming just a tiny bit more than others. ;) Anyway, I think I like this kind of art best, by that I don't mean digital art, but the view and the components: sea, sky, clouds, mountains... the light and the shadow... kind of mystrious... Mystery is one of the things I like most about art. :)

Yes, all the art I like (poems, songs, pictures) I like it best when it's haunting. That is what gets to me and grabs my attention more than anything else

Snow is easy...just make it white and your done. That's something I just thought of so be ready to see more snow.

You say you are artistically challenged, but that is not true. The work you have produced here shows that you have an artist's eye, and if your drawing and painting work is not putting on the paper the picture you have in your head, then that is simply lack of practice.

There is a famous artist (his paintings of elephants hit many living room walls in the 1980s) called David Shepherd. I saw a TV interview with him and he pulled out a canvas he had painted as a budding artist. It was an oil painting of seagulls and the sea, and was really amateur - blues straight out of the tube and fat ungainly brush strokes. Then he got out one of his later works - which are masterpieces. His advice? Practice, and keep practicing. See his work here (http://www.collect-art.com/artist/david_shepherd/index.html) (but not the seagulls!)

wowwwwwwwwww. that's good. very good. very very very good. it looks real. except a tiny bit in the shapes of the land ( hardly noticable really) that's really cool! i wish i could do that. I know how to use my computer and all, but it's evil and it hates me and it slow. so i probly couldn't do that. wonderufl job anne
