I am in the mood to try something daring and unheard of. Since this guild is going nowhere, and since there is so little that we actually do, why not try something totally different? Would it be totally weird to attempt a democratic guild? The members could vote and elect a "chairman" for a term of a few months. This leader would be in charge of the Guild for the allotted time, but his decisions could be overwritten by a group of elected officials if the majority of their members voted to overwrite it. This group would also be elected - by the members of course. That could be the way the leadership worked. I guess we might have to change what our Guild is about... but it would sure be interesting. Let me know what you think! :p

Y'all for the whole leadership thing it could go like this:

1 leader: Makes final descions and stuff, based on the opinions from the guild members, lutenants, ect.

3-or-so lutenant (dont know how to spell): help make those descisions and get input from the rest of the guild.

However-many members of the guild: Give input to the lutenants, or they can go straight to the leader.

but i also think that the ppl of the guild should help determine who the leader and lutenants are....

a leader must be established to help get us out of the general section and to do this we need organisation.

i therefore will act temporally as the guild secutary and count all votes.

the voting will begin monday 1200 hrs )USA time( and shall continue untill thursday 1200hrs )USA time(.

Just because someone is active doesn't mean they will stay on here. Wizdom is, to my knowledge, still active on the forum and he started the Rangers in the first place!!! I personally miss the old system of how we governed ourselves. What happened to that, eh? Besides, I am sorry if this offends anyone, and not that I am pushing for a thing, just posting my opinion, but how on Earth did Elgee get to be the leader of the Rangers? No offence Elgee. So please don't take any. I mean she is a good friend of mine on here, but I could never have seen her as a leader of the Rangers the way they were. We were well-known in the old days, well sought, and more over ... very serious about what we were working for. Then, I hate to say it, but foolish members started showing up and the good, steady serious members lost patience and left. That is why the Rangers lost their Section in the first place. I remember before I lost my subscription to the Rangers that all you people did was party. That is why we lost our section. If you really want a new section, if you really want to become a force to be sought and feared, you have to stop with needless Took-Foolery. so, ill try to resay what i said.

To my *limited* knowledge, the rangers simply had a leader and a second in commmand. not as "deomocratic" as we have now, but i like the new system.

Elgee was VOTED leader. We had a vote, she won. I understand why people might want to have a revote, but i also think that elgee can and will do a marvelous job as leader. Alot has changed since we started to get organized, though. perhaps a revote would be good. but even without a revote, i think that the rangers have a kickin system right now.

Not that the chances are good as this seems to be an entirely popularity vote, but a new vote is in order. And Nain, the Rangers started out with one leader and a council of the 3-4 prominate and knowledgable members who knew what the Rangers were about and what they had been started out to do and be. But this seems to have been forgotten, so I shall remind you. We Rangers were not started to party. We were not started to seek glory in battle. We were started to protect justice, protect those weaker, guard the lands against evil, and serve the same purpose that Aragorn's Dunedain Rangers served. We are suppose to protect the lands and I don't see that being done here. I think a reelection might be called for, but I also believe that the original way works better as there is a less chance of corruption.
