Welcome new Applicant! :D
Please, read the following instructions and decide for yourself whether you'd be willing to accept our conditions of granting you membership to our Guild or not. :)

Each new Applicant to the Guild of Tolkienology should do the following:
1/ State his application in the Apply here (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6012) - thread where she/he will be asked to say a few words about her/him-self and about her/his knowledge of Tolkien works.
2/ After that he/she enters a one-month-testisting period !
During this period a new applicant is welcome to participate in and for the Guild as much as he/she finds it suitable and fit. This is going to be the way to best present oneself to the rest of the Guild. One should definitely show why he/she has decided to apply to our guild in particular. Right?
During this period the applicant CAN also pass the Quiz.... BUT!!! no Guild Rank is to be taken yet.
3/ When this "testing" period is over, a brief "voting" by the members of the guild will be done to say "Yes" or "No" and to decide whether to grant membership to the applicant or turn it down.
Only then I will enter her/his name into the Members List and he/she will have the permission to present her/him-self in the "Meet the Guild" - thread.
4/ If a new Applicant has successfully passed all the above, (:p ), he/she will be allowed and asked to add to his/her signature the Guild Rank gained by passing the Quiz-tests.
