Balrogs and Ultima Online

Just a short post, but did anyone else feel that the balrog looked very like it had been ripped out of Ultima Online (http://www.uo.com)

Heehee, hilarious. Very drole. But Ultima Online has made the Balrog seem more like an oversized red bat. A balrog is a Maia, an evil spirit of fire, cloaked in the shadow of darkness. And his wings (uh-oh) are PRESUMABLY AND MOST LIKELY of this shadow-essense, rather than of flesh and blood.
And I thought the Balrog was sensational in the movie, terrifying.

Yeah, shadow-essence, nicely put. I thought the wings were very well done - sort of half smoke, half darkness, half balrog:)

I actually think the daemons and Balrons in Ultima Online resemble the devil in South Park more than a Balrog from LotR or anything.
