Well, this has changed since I left. I am the founding father of this guild, and I was hoping to become a member of it. It's great to see what my Guild accomplished!
Cheers,
Ulairi.

Indeed, the Guild of Tolkienology has become very great. Did you really found it? Interesting... I never knew that. I thought it was Grond or something, but maybe I'm thinking of a different guild...... Well, whatever. You should be very proud, if indeed you founded it. I'm sure you'll be admitted back into tha guild once someone who has power around here sees this... Or do you outrank them?

You have no idea who I am, I am the notorious Ulairi. I was banned from here over a year ago. I have been unleashed back on to the forum. Well, actually they let me back on ;). I was an immature person back then, but I have always had a very big head for Tolkien. I outrank everyone here technically, but I am not ere to re-claim, unless whoever's in charge gives it back to me. Here's a little history.
I founded this guild and was soon afterwards banned. I made countless attempts to come back on but to no avail. I deserved it though. So, Grond took the reins. Grond and I have remained close personal friends since, and he never gave up the fight to get me back on until many months had passed. So, the Guild became his ultimately as I faded into the darkness. Then, I wrote an apologetic e-mail to WM some time ago, because I had discovered that my passion for Tolkien, which had lain dormant for so long, was still there. So, here I stand before you. I created this Guild, Grond said that he had stickied the original thread up, but perhaps he lied. How unfortunate.
Cheers,
Ulairi.

Hey, Ulairi, I do remember those old times! :)
So.... as I see now you're back...and ..... ????????
What are your intentions about YOUR Guild?
Did I say "YOUR" Guild? Hmmmmmmmmmm................ Don't you think a Guild is a community built by and for the people? ;) What would you do without members? Would you have a Guild in the first place?
And who, do you think, built what you see now? Who, do you think, made this place a Guild?
It was Grond and the members!!!
The point is, my "brother"-wraith ;) :D, that this Guild is OURS !!!
You know, most of the current members don't remeber Grond even! They've joined the Guild for the way as they see it - the way it is organized, the way it is functioning, the quality it tries to sustain...
They do NOT care about who have founded it!!!
Then...why trying to gain popularity by shouting out loudly "Hey, you mortals! It was I who founded this place!!!!"...C'mon! It's cheap! And to tell you the truth I was glad to see you've come back! :) 'Cause you have a lot to offer!
I truly hope you're coming back with good intentions!!!!
There is no need to destroy what has been built just to prove your rights over this place...
Time, my brother, is a powerful thing!!!! ;)
WELCOME BACK!!!!
I hope you'll respect what WE have achieved for OUR Guild!!!! :)

*coughs* Is this the same person that stated elsewhere that he was immature?
You seem to forget, that even tho you may have founded the place, we the members have built it up to what it is today and have elected Gil-Galad to be our guildmaster.

First of all welcome back Ulairi.I am glad you are back, and I hope this time you will not have such problems like the last time.
It is good to see an old member of TTF back here.
I remember your contributions to TTF and that you were the one who had the original idea about The Guild of Tolkienology. But please do not underestimate all the things which our Honourable Life-time Guild Master Grond did.He developed the Guild of Tolkienology and we can only try to be as good and flawless as him.
It is funny that I have to say it but rules are rules and they should be followed by everyone, because nobody is greater than the other members and the rules are the same for everyone here. This means that you should pass the one-month testing-period,but having in mind that you love Tolkien it will not be a problem for you.The only thing which you have to do is to participate ;) Then you will have to pass the Quiz, thus your Rank will be determined.
Many things have changed throughout the months and I hope that you will enjoy your stay here.
"Not words ,but actions show maturity"
I hope that you will prove you are more mature than the others who are 17,not by words, but by actions.:)
p.s.
I created this Guild, Grond said that he had stickied the original thread up, but perhaps he lied.
Unfortunately Master Grond is not here, and he cannot reply to these words. Please, try to avoid such comments concerning members or former members of The Guild of Tolkienology in the future.:)

I also read you state somewhere, that Grond is a friend of yours, Ulairi. If this is how you treat friends, I doubt I wish to be one. As a friend you would know Grond is no longer with this guild, but chose to retire. So accusing someone of lying who is not here to defend himself, is certainly not the kind of behaviour we wish to see in this guild.

Cheers,
Ulairi.
The thread you are refering to was Stickied for some time. But someone other than Grond obviously Un-Sticked it. How unfortunate that you still seem to display such a poor view of others. I hope that this will not last.

The Guild of Tolkienology was made what it is today by the strife and will of many members, of which Grond is a prominent member; a member who is to be respected and looked up to by all. *salutes statue of Grond*
Old habits die hard...watch yourself, Ulairi.

Alright, it seems we all got off on the wrong foot, memories are slowly coming back and I do remember you all as friends. I am not here to take anything away from you, and perhaps you misinterpreted me. What I said about Grond was true, when I said to him that I might have a chance to come back on, and asked him if he could re-instate me as co-founder of the guild, he threw a little tantrum, but we are still definitely friends. Like I said, all I want to do is become a member of the Guild, with the permission of the council of course. I already have offers from other Guilds if you do not wish me to join.
However, I will explain my qualifications. I am well-versed in the lore of the darker side of Tolkien's universe, however my speciality is Ring Lore. I have some ideas for the Guild, but do not worry, I do not plan to hi-jack as I don't holdt the power to do so anyway, nor do I want to. Like I said in my previous post, I was amazed to see what you not me, has accomplished. Pray, what happened to master Maehdros? For I much desire to speak with him.

A far better way to introduce yourself to those members that did not know you. :)
As for master Maedhros, seek him in the Halls of the Scholars.

I thought Grond assigned him as his heir to the Guild, this is what I was told. Well, if that is the case then I pledge my allegiance to this Guild and its members, if they will accept me. I acknowledge Gil-Galad as my chieftain and will be his humble servant, and so I will remain.

Such was the case. However, the Guild of Scholars Hall became in need of leadership. Meadhros moved in to provide it. :)

I am sure you will find many friends here, especially one Wraith ;).Have a nice time here and feel most welcome to contribute with whatever you can to the Guild's activities.

Excellent, assign me what you will Gil-Galad, I will do it happily. So Maehdros is in control of the Guild of Scholar's Hall??? Elbereth's thread I believe. Wow, that means I may debate against him once more. Excellent, a battle of the titans, we used to argue so much in the past. It seems that I have become bigger than myself in a way. Things were so diminutive back then, when Grond, Maehdros and I would basically pick a thread, hi-jack it and argue for the sake of debate per se. Now, organized debate??? A lot has changed, for the good I might add. We should make a points system like they have on lotrplaza.com. That would be interesting.

You will find that some members who joined later TTF are really great debators. You can see all of them in The Debate Tournament section. And yes,if he comes back, you will have the chance to debate against him.
Now I think everything is clarified and we do not need this thread anymore.See you in "Happennings in The Guild". ;)
