Newbie here again!
I haven't been a Tolkien fan for a long time, in fact I just read the LOTR from "The Hobbit" to "The Return of the King" in last spring after having seen the Two Towers.
And The Two Towers was the first of the LOTR films I saw!
You see, previously I had an intention to go and see the Fellowship, but I had these past memories of trying to read "The Hobbit" years ago and I just couldn't imagine at all what a Hobbit was, and I didn't like the novel and dropped it after having read first pages.
But then I saw "The Two Towers" and nearly went crazy, since I read all those novels after that in rapid succession.
And now I have already seen "ROTK" two times!
So, I'd like to read and discuss a bit on those novels as well as Tolkien. I intend to read his other novels as well in the future. :)

Hi Niniel,
to tell the truth, I have no idea, since it's adopted from a website which turned real names into elvish and hobbit names. This is an elvish name, I didn't like the hobbit name so much.
I don't know anything about the languages Tolkien invented. I have only read the trilogy once including "The Hobbit".

Sorry for asking stupid questions, but what does "rpg" stands for?
Something to do with Renegades?

hello, welcome to the forum! its nice to meet someone who was introduced tot he books through the movies, like i was. i'd always had full intention of reading them but i was only young so i waited a while...next thing i knew the fellowship was at the cinemas, sooo..i think rpg stands for 'role playing games" never tried them myself but they sound intriguing. have fun! :)

Thanks Smeagol444 but I got an answer through private message some time ago.
And welcome to the forum to you too, Smeagol. I'm not sure whether you were here before I was..
You are lucky to be living in such a country as Australia, I've never been there but my intention is to visit (for weeks around the continent!) that corner of Earth one day! (though I've heard you have big nasty spiders there...)

So there's more people that were introduced to the books through the movies? I thought I was alone in the world. I had never really paid much attention to Tolkien and his books before I saw the movie. The second I got out of the theatre I ran to the bookstore and bought the trilogy, and the hobbit. I'd never even read the hobbit in school like a lot of people did. I'm just starting The Two Towers tonight, just finished Fellowship. I've seen all the movies and I absolutely love them, and I'm definitely glad I stumbled upon this whole new world of Tolkienology. I look forward to finishing the trilogy and reading all the supplemental books and stories.
