Does anyone have any odd collections? I mean other than marbles, shells, coins, etc. For example, I have a leather pouch of things that I collected simply because they are shiny, and I also have a penchant for small pewter statues. I have nine knights of several sorts, a camel, and a slightly larger trojan statue. How 'bout you?

I don't know if it can be considered weird, but I collect Russian Premiere magazine for already 6-7 years. I have all the issues except the 1st and 3rd. They take a lot of place which is very annoying.
Yeah, and I have a passion for bags and purses. I already have about 15 of them. My brother makes fun of me for that all th time. My recent one is a small evening purse with flowers on it. Very cute :D

I collect almost everything :) My big collections are books and newspapers. I have books that I bought just because the covers look cool. I eventually get around to reading them, and although most turn out to be good, some are absolutely terrible. But it's quite the collection. And my newspapers take up a lot of space in my house. I collect mostly papers from my province, but I have some from China as well. I have about 6 papers from the big 9/11 terrorist thing. 3 of them are from the day after, when it got the most coverage. I'm planning on framing those, just because it was a very significant (and tragic) event that happened during my lifetime, although it wasn't in my country (Canada). Also I collect Crayola crayons (I have a whole shelf FULL of various boxes of crayons. I collect Jones Soda bottles, wine bottles, and basically any other kind of glass bottle that looks cool. Oh and cows.. i love cows and have everything I can find with cows or cow print on it. I have hand towels with cows, my blanket on my bed has a cow print covering, and pillow cases, ornaments, stuffed animals.. everything that has a cow on it :). I've got way more insignificant collections, but those are the only ones that seem to be taking over my life in some way or another :)

I don't know about shiny things, but I do have some collections. I collect swords and machetes(I guess you could say that they are shiny ) along with knives and other bladed weapons. I also collect Sobe bottles, I have 16 different kinds(actually 15 because I lost one), I have tried to buy every different kind of Sobe that I've seen from around the country.

I collect odd items I find here and there, of all sorts of kinds and stuff. Basically whatever strikes my interest at a yard sale(and doesn't cost more than $10) or old heirlooms nobody wants or this really cool Star Wars Return of the Jedi speeder bike toy that I filched from my brother's room. :D I also like stuffed animals, but only the kind that actually resemble real animals, no pink teddies or anything(ewww pink, gross). However, I'd break that rule if I managed to find a tye-dyed stuffed animal, because that's just cool. Get the picture? ;) I also like to collect interesting bits of pictures from magazines and stuff, I'll go through the papers every so often and snip out all sorts of scraps of color and words. I use them in projects. Also, I have a huge box of birdie magazines and a monstrous collection of bird posters.

Hmm.. I dont really collect anything, but I do have the tendency to accumulate stuff.
For example.. I have a lot of Bath & Body Works things (body spray, lotion, etc.).. I just now counted and I have 14 bottles of spray. I know, it's ridiculus. I don't even use all of them. This is why I have decided that I'll not allow myself to even enter a Bath and Body Works store anymore (at least for a very long time).
Also, my mom and grandparents give me a lot of random stuff.. like hand sanitizer and scotch tape. I don't know why, but they give me tons of hand sanitizer and scotch tape. It's strange.
Okay.. so none of this really calssifies as collecting, but, oh well. I felt like talking.

I'm a sucker for all things tye-dyed(well, except clothing). It's fortunate that tye-dyed stuff always cost more than I'm willing to spend, and that I'm too busy to try and tye-dye things myself. Otherwise, my room might look a wee bit different...
Collecting weapons is awesome! I'd like to do that, there's just one problem; my parents just recently decided to trust me with moderately-sharp kitchen knives. For some reason, I've never been trusted with sharp, pointy objects, mwahaha... ;)

Wow, my dad gave me my first machete when I was 5. My parents have always trusted me with weapons, I never really got seriously injured. I never told them when I got cut, I'd just treat it myself .

I think my collection-ish thing would be my little buddha-men* would I am obsessed w/ buying.
they make me happy.
I think I have 11 now.
other than that, yes, I love shiny things, especially quarters, which I play w/ and make noises like lighters and other things.
I have a drawer on my bedside table full of lots of little things that are useless, but I can't bring myself to throw them away; no sentimental attachment at all.
*when I say buddha-men, I mean the short little fat ones, not the dalai lama ones, but I guess.... nvm, but I get the fat ones.
