I'm a new member here, this is my free phone call, so here goes....
I first read Tolkien when I was a teenager. I remember sitting in the back of the bus on my way to high school, with one of the three books from LOTR in my lap, reading by the faint morning light. Although I was not a disciplined reader then (I did not complete the 3rd book...gasp), I remember those times fondly. Now that I've been devouring about 25+ books per year, inspired by Peter Jackson's films, I decided to return to Middle-Earth. It's a wonder what maturity does for your appreciation of things. Half way through FOTR at present....onward and upward. If I could say something appropriate in Elvish I would, but all I can say is hi there folks. Pleased to be a member. :D
