This time tomorrow I could have forgotten everything I ever knew.

It is my pleasure to join this Tolkien discussion board. Confessions up front: I was never interested in Tolkien until the LOTR movies were made and never even watched FOTR until this past November. But I cannot get enough of him now. Since watching FOTR, I have read The Hobbit, Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and am nearing completion of Return of the King. I will probably do much more reading than posting to begin as I look forward to reading others interpretations of Tolkien's works.

Did you see RotK before starting the books?

No, I was about half-way through The Two Tower when I saw RotK. I was unable to see RotK until early March and was nervous about seeing it then since my wife was 37 weeks pregnant at the time. Since the birth of our son on March 9, my reading pace has obviously slowed. I do not have as much time to devote to reading and when I do, I am so tired I am often asleep after a couple of pages.
