Hi there, welcome to the forum!
Well, as far as I can tell, (and I am quite new, too) the business is as follows. You probably have read some of Tolkien's works and either have questions or you are ready to provide answers. Just look over the threads that seem more interesting to you and reply or make new threads expressing whatever seems important to you and has not yet been discussed. You can enter one of the Guilds or join the RPG or do whatever you want, as long as it's TOlkien related and it's not offending to anybody (or so I think). That's about it, really!

Also I must remind you that thid kind of questions should be asked in the New Members section. This section is only for questions concerned with Lord of the Rings. So before you post check whether your post belongs in the section you're posting in. Otherwise a mod will move it :)
