As a part of the announced spring-cleaning, I will start to move threads out of the Guild of Scholar's Hall this evening. Those threads that are Tolkien-related and that in my opinion deserve a longer life, will be moved to various parts of the book-section, according to their content.

I will leave a redirect in the Guild for the time being.

If you disagree with my choices, reply in this thread or send me a PM. I promise that I will concider your request, although I cannot guarantee that I will agree with you.

However sad it feels to see ones old Guild being closed down, I hope that all of its members understand why we are doing this. I know that there are quite a number of great threads here, and this is why I will do my utmost to ensure that they will continue to live on, and not end up collecting dust in the Cottage of Lost Play (i.e. Archives).

As a former member of GoS I'd just like to thank you for your consideration in dealing with these threads. It is good you do this instead of suggesting they be sent to the archive... every discussion thread deserves a second chance huh? :D

Definately. There is too much "Stuff and bother" and GoP/GoR around these days. IMO, there need to be more of the really important aspects of life...:D

Thanks for taking the time to keep some of these threads alive. I agree that we need more of these kinds of discussions, but the guild format isn't working very well any more. I'm glad they won't all disappear!

Thanks so much, Arvedui, for all your diligent work :) . I really appreciate the effort you're putting into this so others can continue some of our discussions.

Well...thanks Arvedui for moving the thread where everyvody can discuss them, and a belated goodbye to GoS.
