There And Back Again - A Ttf Tale

Ok, this is a semi-open RPG which means before people should begin to post, we have casting calls to make. That is why I posted the rpg here in the OOC section first before the actual RPG on the IC section.

I have actually started this same RPG in MERPG before but because most of the members got "busy" it had to be archived.

The concept is simple: it's a story about four members of TTF that were given the opportunity to actually be in middle earth and play the role of the four hobbits in the story. Of course everyone here has dreamed of that sort of escape, that's why this will be quite intruiging. ;)

The casts are as follows:

MAIN:
FRODO BAGGINS - greypilgrim
SAMWISE GAMGEE - NARYA (I've always loved Sam, so I'm taking this character.)
PIPPIN TOOK - King Aragorn
MERRY BRANDYBUCK - Elbereth

SECONDARY:
ARAGORN/STRIDER
GANDALF
LEGOLAS
GIMLI
BOROMIR - greypilgrim
GOLLUM

CAMEO'S
Denethor
Eowyn - Rhiannon
Galadriel
Celeborn
Faramir - Rog


Character descriptions:

The MAIN characters are the TTF members who "magically" get transported to middle earth and live the lives of the four hobbits.

The SECONDARY characters are actual characters in the book that the four TTF members meet and work with to finish the adventure.

The CAMEO'S are also actual characters but don't play long roles, just like in the book.

Those who are interested to join, please post and tell me why you want to be that character. Plus I'd need some form of commitment that you would actually try to finish the story and not go MIA on me.

Ummm.... I am a little bit nervous about posting here, because I am afraid I will do something stupid. I have never really RPG'd before, but it always looked like a lot fun. I have a lot of time in the summer now, and am on TTF a lot, so if anyone would be willing to be a little bit patient and understanding with me, and wanted me to be here, I would perhaps want to be Frodo. Could I be Frodo? I think it is pretty obvious why I would want to be. :D

I'd like a cameo role if possible. As much as I'd love to tackle Pippin's role, I just don't have the time these days.... But I'm sure that I can scrounge some spare time for a lesser role. Faramir perhaps? Although I wont be needed for some time...so I guess I could be another minor character if needed.

Yes, you shall be Merry. And yes, the four hobbits will be playing another character at the beginning of the tale. We shall be playing ourselves. You can change your real names if you don't want to reveal it, but it will be a modern day character that gets thrown into the pan during the great war of the ring!

Bad news. My grandpa is dying... and I am leaving tomorrow. I will be gone for about two weeks. I would still love to be Frodo. But I guess you might have to continue without me. :( I want to be Frodo if I can, but replace me if you must. I will have tons of spare time when I get back. I'm really sorry! I knew something like this would happen with me. :(

As for 33Peregrin, I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa :( I hope he gets well, Grandparents are a blessing. I would have to take you out of the casting list though, it's nothing personal it's just, I don't want to pressure you with a post, and your part is quite essential for the RPG. Hope you understand.

Nevertheless, if you come back again, and would like to rejoin this rpg you may.

Ok I think I need to clear some things up:

First of all only those playing the Hobbits will also be playing the "TTF-Member" part. Which means only those playing Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin get to post as modern day TTF members - NOT ALL THE CAST MEMBERS.

So please for those who are playing other parts other than hobbits kindly delete your posts. You all will have to post AS THE CHARACTER YOU CHOSE ONLY

33 Per yes you're still Frodo, please post your pre-convention post now. If you want more info, just read the story thread and you'll get the hang of it ;)

Elby, post whenever you like, you can post as much also. No need to wait for others unless of course you need a reaction from one of the other players, but seeing as we're not interacting yet, please post stories about your character as you please.

Lastly, will someone please tell Lord Sauron that if he wants to join he has to post here first. I will pm him also.
