New RP

I'm hoping to start a new RP about the First Age of Middle-earth. Everybody's welcome, and I hope it picks up speed. It takes place after Gondolin is built, and the elf in the story is trying to find her way back into the Hidden City. Any ideas about anything else are more than welcome.

So will you let us know some more things about your story? For example why your character wants to go again in Gondolin and thinks like this. It will help me make a character.

Cool. I was thinking that a nice story line would be that she was banished from Gondolin because she did something bad, (I don't know what yet) and was wrongly accused and wants to go back to settle a score with somebody who accused her and to free her name.

I think the plot is good. Now I have to make acharacter. Any ideas. Do you have in mind any characters?

Actually, I don't have anything in mind for characters right now, so just make one up. Also, I'm going to get people to play some of the 'famous' characters from the Silmarillion, to make things interesting.
Name: Triandra Ravenstar

Age: ?

Race: Noldo elf

Appearance: golden hair, blue eyes, very slender, 5'10

History: born by Cuivienen, went to the Blessed Realm, followed Feanor in to exile in Middle-earth. Came to Gondolin when it was built.Something happened while she was there, and she fled the Hidden City. Has wandered in the wilderness of Beleriand ever since and hopes to return to Gondolin.

Weapons: carries a white dagger, and has a long bow.

Name: Valandil Linwelin

Age: I don't know yet

Weapons: One sword which name I do not know yet, two daggers and one shortbow. He also always bears potions and powders that he only know what it is.

Description:Tall blonde fast running elf keen on battles wearing dark green clothes and under it a mithril coat and black leather boots.

His best friend is a raven. Maybe that's why everyone thinks of him a little bit crazy ;)

I don't mean to nag, but were your elf accused of doing something wrong, she would not be allowed to set foot outside of the city, but would find herself under close supervision (if she did something mildly bad), or even locked up (doing something pretty bad). Now you could have her escape, though I reckon that would be pretty darn hard, and she would have to be a most fit and cunning elf to successfully flee the city.

That aside, it is an interesting idea and I would join if I had more time and inspiration on my hands.

Hmmmm...you're right. I'll have to change that. (I couldn't think of anything else) I'm going to have to go with that she's a cunning elf, unless someone thinks of something else.

I'd like to join. I thought I'd be someone who believes that Triandra did what she was accused of and now wants revenge (because what Triandra was accused of had to do something with him) or just thinks she is guilty and must pay for what she did. You do stick to being accused of doing something bad, Triandra? What do you think of this then?

Hmmmm...sounds interesting. That's pretty good. I think there still is a thread in the other Rp board. If there is, then you can go ahead and post, but I'm thinking of starting a completely new thread. Sounds good?

I think it's called, 'The First Age' or something like that. Don't forget to post your character stats here, please, so we know a little of the back story of your character.

Great idea, by the way. I'm going to stick with the fact that she's a cunning elf.

I have to think up my character first. I'd rather not be someone famous from Silmarillion, if you don't mind.

Also, maybe you would like to say what she is falsely accused of. I can't think of anything good... :o :p :)

Personality: Determined, is ready to do anything in the name of justice, serious, keeps his promises to death, extremely cruel to those he think deserve it, extremely loyal
Skills: Experienced fighter, very good with bow and arrows, knows some of the art of healing
History: Born in Valinor during the Years of the Trees, swore his allegiance to Turgon there, and followed him to Middle-Earth, now lives in Gondolin

Triandra, what do you think if your character was accused of stealing some important secret documents of the realm of Gondolin? Another possibility would be murder, or attempt of murder, but I don't know if she could have succeeded in escaping in that case. :rolleyes:

We could also keep the actual crime unknown till later (or even till the end) if that suits you better... ;)

She could have been accused of stealing some important heirloom of Turgon's house...
