Let us all light a candle this evening in memory of all the dead and dying, the injured and the missing, and the survivors and the relief-workers in South-east Asia and Eastern Africa. Let us light a candle to show that we care about all the people that have lost someone dear to them.

There is not much we can do, but we can at least do this.

And for those who have died and who will die in Iraq. The deaths from the tsunami are a tragedy because they are nature-caused. The deaths in Iraq, just as painful, are an evil, because they are man-caused.

This tradgedy is just about all I can think of at the moment. Some 3,500 of my countrymen are still missing and most of these are probably dead. Many of them will never be found. Everything just gets worse by the hour.
