The setup of the Chronicles of Narnia sounds a lot like the lord of the rings. The release date (December 9th) is very close to the release date that the lord of the rings had. Also Weta Workshop, who worked on the lord of the rings, have done all the weapontry and creature making for the Chronicles of Narnia as well.

Interesting.
