RP 18: An old evil

[Wizdom]

Wizdom waited for his friends to arive.

[Wizdom]

Wizdom was getting impatient....

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain walks in all muddy. He asks the bartender for a 1936 per tu vinte .... "this better be good......."

[Wizdom]

Wizdom walks over to him. "'lo dain. Got any idea who this guy is who sent us that letter?" he asked. Wizdom then asked for a botle of the strongest stuff they had.

[Dain Ironfoot]

I have been tracking it for weeks with no avail but this one clue... He is of elven decent, and a skilled elf at that he got the letter to me IN MORIA without me knowing...... Something is all wrong..

[Wizdom]

"You feal it to then?" said wizdom leaning foword. "A strange shadowy fealing?" he asked.

[Dain Ironfoot]

"Like evil is creeping up on your sholder...... Ya, I know what it is that you mean. I have heard rumer of a halfbreed Bolrog/nasgul, but I thought it to be folly....... I thought wrong, My men and I lost one in the pitts back in Moria... Scared the **** out of me.." Dain said shuddering...

[Wizdom]

Wizdom looked sudenly pale. "So Mint`e is back.... well, that does complicate things doesn't it." he said more to himself then to dain.

[Dain Ironfoot]

There is anouther thing amiss.... I hear footsteps at night. BIG feet. I look and look but to no avail.....

[galadrieltook]

A short, barefooted girl in her late-teens wandered into the bar, her long blonde hair and good-natured face clashing slightly with the baggy, knee length trousers and worn shirt that she wore. Her name was Earie. She called for soem tea and sat down at a table next to two men talking in low voices. Her ears pricked up as the shorter of the two, a dwarf, told the other about footsteps in the dark. Could he be referring to the same footsteps she had heard several nights ago when she had passed through Moria?

[Courtney]

"Hey guys!" says Courtney as she walks into the bar. "I haven't seen you for years! Not since our trip through Moria. I thought that it would be so nice to get back to my nice little hobbit hole, and relax, but I just couldn't seem to focus on smoke rings and my little garden. I suppose I have somewhat of a taste for adventure after all! It is shame to bring up bad news at our first meeting in such a long time, but there is something I wished to talk to you about. During the past few months I have spent my time travelling through out the Misty Mountains, and although it is probably just the ridiculous notion of a timid hobbit, I must admit that there are times when I feel there is something lurking just around the bend in the road. Waiting perhaps for revenge." *An eerie silence fills the room* "And just now I feel the presence of evil more strongly then I ever have in my long hobbit life.'

[Wizdom]

Just as courtney said it a tall man walked in with a cloak that covered his face. he walked to Wizdom and Courtney and dain's table. A girl sitting in a table just acros from them lens on her seat until she falls out of her chair. "Lo..." said the man sitting down. he had a hissey, almost snake like voice. He looked at the girl at the next table. "You might as well come hear to... you will be involved im this journey soon enough. As most of you know i am headed to Mordor, and i need guides... I heard you were the best so i sent you a letter. the reward will be great and you will be most pleased with it..." he paused and orderd a very weak drink. "Any way. i would be much abliged if you would come." he said to them all.

[Kit Baggins]

Kit walks in, soaking wet- it is starting to rain outside.
"Hey." he greets everyone. "Nice to see you all again." He shivers. "I know what you mean, Courtney." he says softly. "There is something evil stirring."

[Wizdom]

"I will go... thou if i catch wind of anything odd i will have to leave." he said with a hard glare at the thing. "you may take your dragon..." he said ignoring wizz... "Wait what is your name?" asked wizz still giving him a hard look. "my name.... is Cane. i suggest we all get some sleep we will be starting tomorow morning..."

[Aredhel]

The tall elf walks in, happening to overhear the conversation,"I do not mean to interrupt, but on my latest journey from Rivendell, I have <i>seen</i> or, rather,<i> felt</i> something on the road. And I agree, something evil is astir." Orders a mug of ale, and shaking the rain water from her shoulder-length raven black hair. She is wearing a slim fitting silk green dress, that flares out at the elbows and knees.

[Wizdom]

Wizdom blinks realizing he was staring. "Sorry..." he said with a smile. "You to will come with us." said cane. "I forsee it...." he said with a smile.

[Aredhel]

(You mean me, right?)She looks upon Wizdom, care and sorrow fill her green eyes, and also wisdom, wisdom of the past ages, and remembering what her Lord Elrond said to her before his departure. "If it is foreseen," she says, calmly," I will go. I was here since the First Age, and I remember all too well, the Dark Years, and ,"shudders," Sauron. I will go to fight this new evil, *

[Wizdom]

wizdom smiles and chugs the rest of his drink. "See you all in the morning." he said with a smile and he waved bye to them. the night past slowely. but sunlight shone threw the windows. "are you all ready?" Cane asked as one by on they came down from the inn.

[Wizdom]

Wizdom came out with a long staff and a bow acros his shoulder.

[menchu]

They all heard a familiar sound... an unhurried pace of footsteps in harmony with the ting-a-ling of a small silver bell.
- I told my cousins, I would be late. Shouldn't have stayed there to dinner. They never listen to me... - murmured the hobbit, coming down from a hill nearby. She was wearing some grey, strange garments, too big for her, and attempted to tighten the belt.
- Uff, these irksome pants...
She looked up and saw her mates, all ready to set off. :)
- Hey! Where are you going without me? You can get rid of this stubborn, adventurous hobbit so easily!
Then she treaded the cuff, stumbled and fell doing somersaults to the group. Menchu was really red.

[Aredhel]

Holds out her hand to the hobbit," Here," she says, waiting for her to take it, and knowing full well what she felt like.

[menchu]

- Thanks... - said Menchu, still blushing.
Frowned (trying to recognize the new members) while standing up.
- I think I missed the introductions... My name's Menchu. I suppose we'll share long hours of tavelling together - the hobbit smiled and held hands with Aredhel (they hadn't let go of it).
- I suppose now Wiz will explain a bit about his plans... Sorry I'm a little late.
*Is that waffles you got there, Courtney? :D *

[Aredhel]

*looks down at the hobbit and smiles*My name is Aredhel, and I come from Rivendell, which you heard of, and I have heard of you. You are quite the traveller, are you not?." Looks to Wizdom for an explanation of the trip.

[galadrieltook]

Earie hurried out of the inn, pulling her shirt down over her stomach. She had obviously slept in and had to dress rather quickly. "I don't need any hocus-pocus fortune telling to tell me to join this little party. The name's Earie, and don't even think about getting any funny ideas. You make one stupid crack and i'll tickle you with this!" She swung out a long, white lance of dragon-horn, it's mithril point gleaming wickedly in the sunlight. But she smiled again and placed the spear back in it's straps on her back. "Good morn'n mistress Hobbit! Don't you worry at all! Stick with me and no one'll touch you!" She clapped the Halfling on the shoulder and mounted her horse. The grey mare whinnied happily and tossed her proud head. Earie drew out a horn and blew a single, clear note, breaking the morning stillness and sending the nearby birds flying into the air.

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain wispered something in his room and made a mind message to Wizz....."Hey can we trust these guys???"........

[Wizdom]

more perhaps then we can cane. he sent a mind message back. "Don't look at me, cane's the one who started this litle expadition." he said looking at cane. "I'm paying you all good money to escourt me to mordor." he said. "now we realy must be off."

[Dain Ironfoot]

"money???? he dresses as if he were a bum...."

[Wizdom]

Well look at you my friend! LOL

[Dain Ironfoot]

"YAH, look. Mithril, Mithril, Mithril, oh and look more Mithril......"

[Wizdom]

"Come quickley now, Cane is getting impatient."

[Dain Ironfoot]

I think I shall join up with you later.... With this new info I need my Dragon.....

[Wizdom]

"Okey... May fortunes fate be with you my friend." he said. (Cane) "Lets go..." wizdom climbs on his steed luke. they take off.

[Wizdom]

Wizdom was waring a long brown cloak that covered his face And a t-shirt underneath that said, "It takes a real man to be a father", thou none of them could see it for, wizdom's farther had left when he was only 14 leaving him to take care of his mother. he hated him for it. only dain knew this.

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain watched them leave and went on his way...

[Courtney]

Courtney comes hurridly out of the inn. She was running late again. "If I don't hurry up a bit you will all be half way to Mordor before I even finish breakfast!" she says cheerfully handing out waffles (blueberry, and chocolate chip, and every kind of waffle imaginable). "It's very unusual, but this old pack never seems to run out of waffles!" Courtney picks up her sword and walking staff a bit warily, and says "I don't mind travelling through the misty Mountains and the great forests, but going straight into the heart of Mordor. That's quite another thing altogether. Oh well, I guess I'll manage... I have been practicing my karate. I always did prefer karate over swords..."

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain send one more message via Bird to Wizz......


"Hey, this may be nothing but a tyrant named Cane burned 5 villages in south Gondor........"

[Wizdom]

"hm......" wizdom said as he thought.

[Kit Baggins]

As Kit leaves the inn, he is turning a rusty sword over in his hands.
"I expect this will come in useful." he says, taking a waffle from Courtney. Wizdom," he says, "I don't know how much you know of my family history (perhaps nothing at all), but do you know anything about a sword called Sting?" He holds out the short sword.

[Aredhel]

She jumps onto her her borrowed horse, Asfaloth, and rears," Are we ready to go."

[Kit Baggins]

Kit runs off, and returns a few minutes later, leading two ponies, one black, the other white.
"You can ride Snowfoot if you like, Courtney." he says, handing the white pony's reins to the other hobbit. "I'll take Nightrunner." Kit jumps onto the black pony. "Come on!" he says.

[Wizdom]

(As i said before!) they took off. They rode endlesly for days. "Hmm... this is as far as i know to get to mordor..." said wizdom. "I'm afraid I can't remember the way... Hmm..... Anyone here know the way?" he asked fealing foolish.

[Aredhel]

Reins her horse beside Wizdom's,"We can either go south to the Gap of Rohan, or over the mountains, I believe."

[Wizdom]

"yes... err.... thats right....hmmm.....well lets go to....... The gap of rohan..." said wizdom..... he was turning slightly pale....

[Kit Baggins]

"I vote for the Gap of Rohan." Kit says quickly, looking up at the mountains with a grimace. "You won't catch me going up there :( ."

[Wizdom]

"all right then...." he was turning rather pale now.

[Aredhel]

"I don't think any of us want to cross over the mountains. We would have to walk," she says, turning to face Wizdom, because it was all up to him," I, too, vote for the Gap of Rohan." Looks to the south," I wonder what has been done to Isengard?"

[Wizdom]

Wizdom gulps... "to the cap it is..." he said softly. he was swetting slightly.

[Kit Baggins]

Kit suddenly notices Wizdom's expression.
"What's wrong with the Gap?" he asks.

[Aredhel]

A smile plays at the corner of her lips.

[Aredhel]

Looks toward him and Kit," As far as I know, there is nothing to fear, unless some new evil has arisen there."

[Courtney]

"Don't be silly everyone!" says Courtney, in a better mood now that she's had her fill of waffles. "there's nothing to worry about in Rohan (although I've never actually been there). I can't wait to see all the different horses! Even though I'm much too small to ride them! And there isn't a better pony than good old Snowfoot!:) I think it will be much better than crossing those hideously tall mountains at least. Now, if there's anything evil, it must be in those mountains! You just worry too much, Wizdom. This is the first adventure I think I might actually enjoy."

[Wizdom]

"yes i supose i do worry to much... be on your guard thou... all of you. i fear that something in rohan may have changed." he still looked rather pale.

[Dain Ironfoot]

As they got close to The gap they saw a swirling, thundering, firy mess if a storm. they knew they could not take this route......

[Wizdom]

"it is as i feard... The old evil of the- no... i dare not speak there name... We will have to go threw the mountains."

[Dain Ironfoot]

As they get to the edge of the mountians they meet up with Dain, "hey, how are you all doing? that is just fine, well I found out how to kill th-....... I shall not speakith its name here, But I found out the only way to destroy it.* Dain pulls out a long blue sword that seems to glow with energy* "it is the sword of Eru made by the Valor and now it has come to me.

I will use it to well, you know.......

[Courtney]

Courtney stares at the sword in awe...."The sword of Eru....." she whispers and stands mystified...

[Wizdom]

Wizdom laughed. "Well my freind it looks like you've beev scamed.... the real sword of eru doesn't glow." wizdom said smiling. dain then asked him angrily how he knew this. "Becouse i," he drew his sword. "have the sword of eru." he said it was just a regualar blade.

[Aredhel]

She speaks up, looking at the sword in Wizdom' hand," The sword of Eru, of Illuvatar...That was only a legend in the minds of the High Elves. I have longed to look upon it...." she looks in awe upon it," Never was there such a finer blade than this." frowns," It should have come to one of the children of Illuvatar, not one of the Edain. But I suppose tht is all right...if you know how to use it," she then smiles," It is a great gift."

[Wizdom]

He smiled. "I should think i know how to use it." he said and then went into swordplay. spined and slashed and swunged and leaped. he ended it with throwing his sword high into the air then cathing it with his hand. "And my mother was an air to Illuvatar." he said with a slight smile.

[Aredhel]

"You have impressive swordplay, Wizdom," she says," If we do not hurry, we may be too late."

[Wizdom]

"Thats true we should be off at once." said cane.

[Aredhel]

She sits astride her horse, waiting for Cane's command to move out.

[Courtney]

"Well, anyway," says Courtney looking at her small sword (about the size of a kitchen knife for a human). "I'm glad I don't have a Sword of illuvatar! I would probably end up cutting myself in half. then I'd only be a quarter-ling! Let's get going, the sooner we get to Mordor the sooner we can get out...hopefully."

[Wizdom]

Wizdom laughed. "move out." said cane.

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain keeps the sword feeling he will need it.....

[menchu]

- Back to road! - up went Menchu and rode her pony.
There were light blue flowers at both sides of the path and a brook was near. But later the nice atmosphere around became darker and darker...
- It's cold here... - said Menchu shivering.

[Aredhel]

She turns Asfaloth and follows Menchu back to the road, looking up at the darkening sky. Her keen elven ears twitch at sound she has not heard for a long time. She swings her horse around to the North,"Something is following us," she says, grimly.

[Wizdom]

"Yes... I feal it to.... We must fly. Now!" he said sharply he jumped on his horse and took off waving to the others to follow.

[Aredhel]

She swiftly turns her horse around, and follows Wizdom, and soon catches up to his head start. "Where are you going?,"she says, when she catches up to him.

[Wizdom]

"To mordor of course." he said surprised at the look on her face.

[Aredhel]

"I am with you, all the way, " she answers him,"We are going to Mordor...what shall we find there when we arrive?"

[Wizdom]

"I don't know... don't know..." he said grimly

[Aredhel]

"Yet I am with you all the way, though I may not return," she says, matching him stride for stride.

[Wizdom]

The days past by slowly but they knew they were getting closer to mordor for the growing wearines.

[menchu]

-These places look so gloomy and melancholic. I wish someone had brought an harp or something to cheer the folk up- says the hobbit - I'm sorry for the ponies and horses... We won't abandon them before getting into Mordor, will we?
Menchu puts her hand inside her bag, which looked like a shepperd's one, to find something to eat.
-Oh no! My wafles have run out! - moans hungrily.
Courtney must have a few, but Menchu doesn't dare to ask her. *I already borrowed five last time we rode... and a big amount of biscuits* thinks.
She seeks for something in her bag again. To her surprise, a wooden kind of piccolo appears among the bunches of flowers, plants and papers of that mess.
-Hey! Look at this! Didn't remember I took it with me. Fancy a song?? Maybe you wanna sing, Wiz? :)

[Courtney]

"Well, I know I'm definately in for a bit of music" says Courtney grinning as she takes out her brand new red and green plaid bagpipes! "Lets do a quick run through of the 12 bar blues in F! Then we can all have some waffles. They are my last ones, and may be a bit stale, but they are chocolate chip!"

[razzy]

as they got ready to sing they saw a very tall hobbit of about 17 hanging out with his friends... He was waring a long black cloak and had spikey neon green hair. indeed the hobbit was so tall that many of them misstook him for a man. they noticed a apple tied to a tree. "I bet i can hit that apple with my arrow." he said. there was a mutter of disagreament. He then noticed a very prety elf. "And the string." he said. He fitted his arrow and fired. he hit the apple. He fitted another arrow and fired. he split the string.

[Courtney]

"Well that's pretty neat!" said Courtney, a very small hobbit, "but can you break glass just by playing the bagpipes? They are my secret weapon!"

[Kit Baggins]

Kit laughs. He is a tallish hobbit with short red hair, green eyes and a big sword.
"I'd like to see that, Courtney." he says. "Maybe you could scare all the enemy out of Mordor by playing the bagpipes. If I join in and sing we'll defeat them in no time!" He grins at the green-haired hobbit. "Nice shot." he says. "We could use someone like you."

[Aredhel]

Her green eyes watch the green haired hobbit with interest. She sits astride Asfaloth, amused. She then speaks up,"We could use someone like you, but we must hurry, we have already wasted much time."

[razzy]

"Okey then.... se you later guys." he said grinning. he hoped on a large horse.

[Kit Baggins]

"Bye!" Kit yells after him. He takes a stale waffle from Courtney and bits into it. He pulls a face, and pours some water from his water bottle onto it. "Aaf beffer." Kit says through a mouthful of soggy stale waffle. Then he climbs onto his pony. "You're right, Aredhel. We'd best be going." he says.

[Courtney]

Hey that's pretty neat, Kit! I have red hair, too. Two red head hobbits and a green one we are christmas colors!(Christmas is over :( )
Courtney packs up her bagpipes and waffles, there are only two left... She goes to get her pony but finds it is missing! "Oh no! where is my beautiful pony?" courtney cries.

Courtney goes a short distance out of sight to search for the horses. Suddenly from no where there comes the sound of harsh laughter. "What could that be?" wonders courtney, her hand on her sword hilt begins to shake. "I feel it. It's coming nearer" she shouts.

"What is it?" everyone asks hearing her screams, "We don't see anything!"

Finally they find Courtney on the ground deathly pale with strange markings cut into her arm. It says "We are coming for you." in an ancient evil language used only by the evilest of all creatures.

[Aredhel]

Jumps down and runs over to Courtney's side,"Such a language I have not heard for many a long age, not since the fall of Sauron. I dare not utter it here."Stoops to pick up Courtney." Here,"she says," we cannot find your pony, but you may sit in front of me, on Asfaloth."

[Wizdom]

Wizdom turns around. "What is the meaning of this Cane! You have some explaining to do!" wizdom shouted. (CANE) "I asure you i had nothing to do with this!" he said angrily looking at wizdom. "Who is that hobbit that you know so well!?" he asked looking at razzy. "He is not a hobbit of all but a spy of the dark lord." said wizdom looking at razzy. "You bring evil to this place... Leave!" he shouted at him. razzy then turned and ran with his friends throwing a axe at Aredhel. Wizdom jumped in front of her and took a wound to the shoulder.

[Courtney]

"Ugh... What happened?" Courtney asks. "I heard a voice in the trees, and then it just got really cold... I'm not sure what happened... Hey, where'd that punk razzy go?"

[menchu]

- He had better things to do than bothering us... Now, are you better? Can you articulate your arm? It's seems you were hurt with some kind of blade. Wiz has been hit too.

Menchu looked for some plants in her bag. Then asked Aredhel for advice, seeing she couldn't diagnose what could have made the cuts.

- These may help Wizdom. But I doubt about the remedy for Courtney...

[Aredhel]

She looks grave as she examines Wizdom then Courtney.

"Those will help Wizdom," she says," Apply those plants you have in your bag carefully." Walks over to Courtney.

"Those marks you will bear for a long time, my dear friend," she says sadly," There is no way to ever heal them, I'm afraid. Keep that arm covered well."

[Kit Baggins]

Kit's lip trembles as he looks at his friend.
"She'll live though, won't she?" he asks Aredhel nervously.

[Aredhel]

Places a comforting hand on his shoulder,"Yes, she will live. It may take a while, and she may not recover fully from this horrific expeirience, but your friend has a fighting spirit. I can feel it." Smiles, trying to comfort him.

[Dain Ironfoot]

they all knowtice dain is gone.... he suddenly apears with razzy hanging from his battle ax. "found him running when i heard screams, should I kill him?"

[Courtney]

courtney tries to sit up, and falls back down. She tries to say something, "It's.....it's coming.....for us....." She starts shivering, not from the cold, though.

[Aredhel]

Looks up when Dain comes,"No, do not kill him..Not yet. Perhaps he could be of use to us." Looks to the east toward the mountains of shadow.

[Wizdom]

But just as she said it in arrow whent right into his heart. they look and see Wizdom holding a large bow. "He did this to courtny," he said angrily. They then noticed how different he looked.... Not like a raggedy ranger, but like a once great King..... there was a fire in his eye's that none of them had ever seen except Dain, and Aredhel. "He does not deserve to live...." he said knowing the truth.

[Aredhel]

She stands there, greatly surprised. Not at the slaying of the hobbit, but at what Wizdom looked like.

Murmurs to herself,"Could it be? Could it be that he has last returned? Perhaps....", she leaves her sentence unfinished.

[Wizdom]

He noticed that they were all staring at him. his eye's returned to there normal state, thow a slight fire still remained. "Well.... well.....well...." he said slightly concernd.

[Aredhel]

"There is nothing to be concerned about, except our task at hand. We will have to move on, and across the Dagorlad.

[Kit Baggins]

"I'm not leaving Courtney." Kit says stubbornly, tears filling his eyes.

[Aredhel]

Kneels so that she is eye to eye with Kit,"We do not have to leave Courtney behind. We can take her. She can ride in front of me. Don't worry. She will get better.

[Courtney]

"I'm feeling a bit better already...Don't worry about me... i'm tougher than I look" Courtney says smiling weakly. the cuts on her arm are turning black like ash.

[Kit Baggins]

Kit helps Courtney to her feet.
"We really should move on." he says to Wizdom. "Whatver did this to Courtney knows we're here now."

[Aredhel]

"Yes,"she says,"The sooner we move off the better."

[Wizdom]

"Rigt." said wizz the fire still in his eyes.

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain now in his final form (rpg 20) get back on his drag/bolrog and jets off to scout.

[Kit Baggins]

"Who was that hobbit with green hair?" Kit asks, still shaken by what had happened.

[Dain Ironfoot]

ask wiz...

[Aredhel]

"Seems to know him pretty well," she muses.

[Kit Baggins]

Kit turns to Wizdom.
"You seem to know more about this razzy than you're letting on." he says. "Just who is he?"

[Dain Ironfoot]

yah

[Aredhel]

"I would most certainly like to know just who he is also," she says, turning her gaze so that it falls on Wizdom and pierces his heart, trying to find out.(sound familiar?)

[Wizdom]

He tried to hold her gaze but couldn't, for she was so beutifull. "Razzy.... is, not a hobbit.... He is a form of Naz'gul ..... a servant of the darklord." he said.

[Wizdom]

"What is to be done?" asked cane. "We will hold are desired course." said wizz. he drew his sword as his keen ears picked up as he heard something in the distance. "Get down." he wispered.

[Courtney]

Courtney starts shivvering and her eyes get watery as the cuts on her arm blaze bright orange and red. "We need to leave! NOW!" Her eyes roll back in her head and she begins to mutter. everyone tries to get her to stop talking, but suddenly she sits straight up and cries out in a strange language. Suddenly she stops and the woods are deathly silent except for the chilling wind. Courtney, back to her normal, slightly frightened self, mumbles "what's going on?"

As they try to calm her down, they hear footsteps coming from behind.

[Dain Ironfoot]

a new dain, dashes off silently into the woods......

[Aredhel]

Turns to Courtney, and kneels down,"I don't know who of you understood what she said, and we have already tarried to long."

"We must get her out of here!," she says barely whispering, yet they could sense the urgency in her voice,"and Wizdom, he has hidden his true form so well, even I could not see through it. We must go."

Puts Courtney on Asfaloth,"We will wait until Dain has returned."

"Wizdom, your shoulder,"she says, startled,"I must take a look at it!"

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain runs back and yells "GET OUT OF HERE!!!!!" He is comeing he is.........HERE!!!!!

[Aredhel]

Startles, then turns to face him," Who, who is here?" She asks. getting on to her horse, Courtney in front of her.

[Kit Baggins]

"What's going on?" Kit asks, jumping onto his pony. He draws his sword, just in case they have to fight.

[Wizdom]

"It's him." wizz said in barely a wisper. "HIDE! ALL OF YOU NOW!"

[Aredhel]

Eyes grow wide with fright. Gallops around behind a bush.

wizdom runs behind with aredhel. "Get out your bow." he said.

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain pulls out his long bow and aims....

[Courtney]

courtney staggers to her feet. "Wait! I will fight as well. Although I know its not true, I somehow feel responsible for all of this." Courtney unsheaths her sword and prepares for battle. She seems to have gained a new strength. Then a strange light shines in her eyes. "Perhaps my friends it would be better to end this now."

"What do you mean?" they ask, "there is no way to escape!"

"It would be regarded my many people as heroic that when surrounded by the enemy, we refused to give in...refused to be taken in to be tortured til we reveal the secrets of the north an west. Well I mean, we can die honorably, together."

"I don't know what you mean" cried Kit(sorry to talk for you kit, hope you don't mind)

"i mean to take my own life before the enemy gets to me once more. And yours also if I must. I will not be tortured by them again!" courtney, overcome by madness turns her sword towards her friends. "Are you with me or not? Will you force me to kill my own friends?"

[Kit Baggins]

Kit stares at Courtney in shock, then lunges forward, trying to wrench Courtney's sword from her grasp. She swings the sword madly, and suddenly Kit screams and jumps back, clutching his hand. He sinks to the ground, whimpering in pain. His right index finger has been sliced clean off.

[Wizdom]

"Stop this!" wizdom shouted. "This is not the time!" the king like look of him had returned, the fire was back in his eyes. "Get behind the bushes now!" he yelled. courtny being slightly frightend of him, ran and hid. "Repareo!" cried wiz lifting his staff. kit's finger reatached to his hand and he ran behind the bushes, still wimpering. wizdom was walking back to hide when a spear hit him in the sternum. Hundreds of orcs came runnig up and bound and gagged wizz. there was nothing the others could do, they watched the orcs take him up the road until they were out of sight.

[Courtney]

"Oh No!" cried Courtney jumping out from her hiding place. "I'm so sorry everyone. I don't know what overcame me! It doesn't matter now. It is gone. Now we have to find Wizdom before it is too late. We must hurry!" Courtney starts off in the direction of the orcs.

[Kit Baggins]

"Courtney!" Kit yells, running after her. "We can't just go straight after him! This might be a trap!" He thinks about it. "But if we don't rescue Wiz, then he'll die, and we'll have failed." He starts to cry again, out of frustation.

[Aredhel]

"Halt!," she commands Courtney, and she stops.

"We must figure out something to do," she says.

A long silence follows.

"I for one, will not allow any other to suffer at the hands of the orcs. We must stick together."

Gets back on Asfaloth,"The rest of you must continue the journey. I will go on to rescue him. Those of you who wish to come may. But I will not see it fit to have such 'young' people suffer."

Waits everybody's reply.

[Kit Baggins]

"I'm coming." Kit says. "I don't want Wizdom to die."

[Wizdom]

Miles away, wizz has been cruely bound with chains around his wrists ankles and around his neck. they cruely pulled and tugged, in all directions. laughing scornfully. "Just tell us... we can make it stop if you just tell us were dain is and the elf and we'll stop." he said in a deciefing toung. "I will not!" he cried. his staff had been placed on the top of one of the orcs horses,for they were scared to touch a wizards staff. they pulled scornfully and laughed, and a whip came and lashed on his back, his shirt had been stripped from him to make the whip strikes worse.

[Wizdom]

wizz closes his eyes and sends a phycic message to aredhel and dain, "I know what your thinking, you must not let the others come tell them to proceed with Cane, And if you realy must come come quickly, for i can not last much longer with these idiots.

[Courtney]

"I know we all want to help Wizdom, but I think the best thing for us to do is to continue with our quest. wizdom can take care of himself." Says Courtney reluctantly.

(By the way, what was our original quest? I forget...)

[Courtney]

Hey! where is everyone?!
As Courtney packed up her stuff, she heard a rustle in the trees, but she wasn't afraid. She recognized the sound. "It's my pony!" she exclaimed and rushed over to her long lost horse. "We have to get going.... I'm just not sure where to go...Where's Cane?"

[Aredhel]

Her eyes open, after listnening to Wizdom's voice.

"You all go on the original quest with Cane, Dain and I must go and rescue Wizdom."

Beckons to Dain, and turns Asfaloth in the way Wizdom went.

"We may meet somewhere along the way," she says sadly,"be brave."

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain gets on his dragon and jets off....

[Courtney]

Courntey waits around for someone to remind her what the quest is.... "I wish Cane would tell us what to do! oh well, my pony is back and I still have a few waffles!:D That's good enough for me!"

[Wizdom]

(Cane) "Well, are you going to take me to mordor or arnt you!?" he said slightly annoyed. "Forget the bloody ranger, i am thirsty." he said walking to a stream.

[Courtney]

"Alright Cane!!! No need to get edgy!" stutters Courtney, getting a bit upset herself. "Lets go then!" She climbs on her pony and heads east, without even looking to see who is following her. "Silly humans!" she mutters under her breath. "The taller they are the dumber they get."

[Kit Baggins]

Kit jumps onto his own pony and rides after Courtney.
"Wait for me!" he shouts.

[Aredhel]

She gallops off in the direction Wizdom went, gaining on the orcs.

[Courtney]

Courtney rides off toward the east and further into danger. All the while she hears footsteps off to the side of the path. "I must be imagining things...I'm just not used to all this strange stuff. It was never like this back home. Sometimes i wish I had never left the Shire!" she sighs but keeps going. She hopes that she will remember what the quest is....

[Wizdom]

(Your Taking Cane To Mordor Thats The quest!!!)

[Courtney]

As the light fades Courtney decides it's time to camp. "I think we can risk having a fire tonight. the orcs are too busy with their captives to notice." Courtney shudders thinking about what the orcs would do to her companions. "I'll make some waffles! That should cheer everyone up!"

[Kit Baggins]

Kit lights a fire, gets a frying-pan out of his bag, and starts frying some bacon.
A few minutes later, as he and Courtney are eating, Kit hears a noise in the bushes nearby. It is the sound of footsteps and voices talking in a harsh language neither of the hobbits can understand. Kit draws his sword, which glows blue.
"Orcs!" he yells. "Run!"
But it is too late. They're already surrounded.

[Aredhel]

With Asfaloth,one of the horses brought over from Valinor, she quickly catches up to them,:NOt so fast!" She whips out her bow, and shoots one of them through the head.

[Courtney]

Courtney throws a burning stick from the fire at the nearest orc as she draws her sword. "There aren't too many of them. I think we can fight them off!" She says as she cuts the heads off two orcs with one swing of her sword. "Hey! i'm getting pretty good at this!"

[Kit Baggins]

Kit grabs his frying-pan and hits the nearest orc round the head with it.
"Nice one, Courtney." he says, as she cuts the head off another orc. Then, with his frying-pan in one hand and his sword in teh other, Kit gleefully starts killing the orcs.

[Ecthelion]

I a dark shadowy hooded figure in a silver cloak and black leather boots
comes riding in on the horse Bill..............
He jumps off Bill and unhoods himself................
It is none other than Nain son of Dain...............
He takes out his sword Thorn..............
He tears out the heart of a few orcs and stabs a few more........
While he waits for more orcs to come he looks at his
now red sword.............................

[Ori Bloodbow]

A dark hooded figure with a black cloak comes riding in on his horse Esroh. He jumps off his horse as he takes out his mighty battle axe. He decapitataes several orcs before he slaps hands with Nain son of Dain......................

Nain then lifts his staff in the air and makes an army of 5 mthrel men.....................
each man be-heads 10 orcs each..............
Nain then can't control them anymore and they fall over..........

Nain puts his staff up and completely murtilizes a group
of an orcs charging at him..............
Nain thinks to himself "Man I'm gonna have to pay alot to
get this sword cleaned..............."

"I am Nain son of Dain ruler the Tall dwarves from the Iron Hills.
And this is Ori son of Nori.He is my right-hand man in the Iron hills.
We felt something dark growing so we came to explore and ran into you
Kit Baggins.Now may I ask who you are?"

" yea we are " as ori lifts up his staff and says " Chico lomo toto " and electricutes 3 orcs.

[Ori Bloodbow]

ori then says " Man this is way to easy." as he slices through some more orcs and sits down at a bar table that just happens to be there and drinks a beer.

You stupid Ori your to young to drink............
Nain slips in and has his own beer..........

Nain burps loudly after chugging his beer..........
Nain then makes the bar disappear...........
Ori who was sitting in a chair falls because the chair
disappears with the bar..........
Nain's dragon finally is to weak to go on so Nain makes an elven bow
and arrow with his staff........
Nain shoots bunches of orcs with all the arrows he made..........

"Ouch!" "Thanks alot Nain" As Ori praises to the sun and electricty gun pops from the sky and Ori says "This is more like it" and shoots 4 orcs.

Nain makes a bunch of you huge balls(made of mithrel)lol.........
He points his staff to the air and all the balls follow........
Once some orcs start charging at Nain Nain points his staff down and the giant balls squash the orcs instantly killing them.........

courtney looks a bit irratable. "Well are you two just going to sit there getting drunker and drunker or are you going to come with us to mordor? Cause if you are, we have to get going..." Courtney starts walking down the path mumbling "silly young dwarves...can't take anything seriously..."

Courtney waits for the others to catch up. "We should try to reach the Anduin by dawn, we can rest then." They walk as quickly as possible without making any noise.

Kit suddenly remebers he hasn't introduced himself.
"I'm Kit." he says. Kit looks around, to check there are no enemies listening. "We're going to Mordor," he says, "and we're going to need help, I expect."

[Kit Baggins]

As they walk along, Kit tells Nain and Ori what has happened.
"When we set off, there was me, Courtney, Cane (he's around here somewhere) an elf called Aredhel, a hobbit called Menchu, Dain Ironfoot and Wizdom. But then Wizdom was captured by orcs, and Aredhel and Dain went after him, so we have to take Cane to Mordor. And if you can kill orcs like that, you'd be welcome to come along." He pauses. "What are you dwarves doing so far south, anyway?" Kit asks.

[Ecthelion]

Ori is very quiet so Nain answers
"Ori and I felt something dark growing in Mordor we were
on our way to explore when we ran into you guys.............."

[Courtney]

"I think we can all feel the evil.." Courtney says quitly, looking at her arm... They have reached the river and begin to set up camp under the cover of some overhanging rocks. "i think I'll wait until tomorrow to make more waffles.. I don't think I can stay awake long enough to eat them now..." She falls almost instantly asleep.

[Ori Bloodbow]

Ori Shakes Courtney and Whispers"Wake up" I can smell some evil in the air..........................

[Courtney]

Courtney quickly gets up and quietly they get into the boats and start heading down the river. "We will be safer on the water." But as they look behind them, there are other boats following them, and they are full not just of orcs, but of men as well. "We must hurry to the East side, we can lose them in the marshes, if we don't get lost ourselves." As they start to head towards shore, the big man in the front of the boat shoots an arrow tied to a rope into the boat and pulls them closer.

[Ecthelion]

Nain then tkes out a short knife and cuts the rope.....
Then Nain tells Courtney to keep paddeling as he
makes his own mithrel bows and arrows........
Nain shoots most of the orcs, but the an orc arrow
cuts his face.Nain yells "NOW YOU SHALL ALL PAY!".....
Nain lifts his staff and makes one huge mithrel axe for
each boat..........
Then Nain points the staff at the orcs boats and the axes
zoom through the air hitting each boating sinking the boats
and drowning the orcs.......
Nain says"That should keep them away for a while but I am very...
I am very........"Nain can't finish his sentence, then Nain
faints in the boat.............

[Ness]

Hi! it is to late for me to join?

[Wizdom]

(No, you just have to make your charector appear some way:D!) they then notice that thousands of orcs were making there way towards them... A amzingly bright light pierces the land... they make out a bright figure who is holding a staff. they here him shout. "Now there will be no more!" a blast of light kills all the orcs that are attacking them.... unfortunetly for wizzes companion, they are knocked out... wizz then falls out of the sky with a sickining thud into the boat.

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain falling right behind him floats to the ground.....

[Ori Bloodbow]

Ori waves a dead fish over Nain's face so he will wake up from his faint..........

[Ecthelion]

Nain instantley wakes up and says
"Oh good it's just a fish I thought that you put your
armpit in my face.".............

[Ori Bloodbow]

No don't worry Nain it was just a fish...........

[Afterglow]

::Walks over:: "Are you all right?" She asks everyone. "I am Afterglow." She bows. "I have been taking a nice long journey to get back to Rohan...and I saw two people fall..." She sees Dain. "Dain!" Afterglow cries, quickly bowing. "I did not realize you might have been in danger." The flash of yellow under her cloak tells all- she is a yellow wizard. "Is there any way for me to help you?"

[Ori Bloodbow]

Ori says with excitement "Hey AfteGlow Im a yellow wizard too, Im new"................

[Afterglow]

::bows to Ori::

[Courtney]

They land the boats and get safely off on the Eastern shore. "I don't know about anyone else, but I am really tired... I can't remember the last time i had a full night's rest! But we should keep going at least for a little while..."

[Kit Baggins]

Kit opens his eyes blearily.
"What's going on?" he asks sleepily. Suddenly he catches sight of Wizdom. "You escaped!" he says, suddely waking up fully. "How did you manage to get away from all those orcs? And where's Aredhel?" he asks.

[Wizdom]

"I do not know..... I fear that i have broken a rib..." he said gingerly.

[Ness]

A bright light starts to fill the area, the company looks towards the light, and prepares for a brutal fight, ness appears out of the white light, Hullo everyone, i got here as fast as i could. Ness takes a look at Wizdom and heals his broken rib, there good as new, ness takes a bow, i am the white wizard of the grey wizards.

[Kit Baggins]

"Pleased to meet you." Kit says, somewhat surprised. He bows to Ness. "Is it just me," he mutters to Courtney, "or are people suddenly appearing out of the blue to help us?"

[Wizdom]

rather odd isn't. wizz sent a tellepathic message to kit.

[Ness]

Ness sends a telepathic to Wizdom and Kit, i heard that. :) Although you may not have know it, i have been here the entire time, maby not physically, but i have been following your journy mentally, i have been searching, and have seen your need, i am here to help.

[Courtney]

"Well, as long as you're on our side, I'm glad you're here. As for your help, we definately could use it!" Courtney bows to Ness.

[Afterglow]

::bows to Ness:: "Where to now?" She asks everyone. "If you wish my help, that is."

[Courtney]

"Of course we would like your help! We'll take any help we can get... We are on our way to Mordor with Cane. I think we should rest first and get started early tomorrow morning." Courtney says while she finishes pulling the boats on shore.

[Kit Baggins]

"I think we should set off now." Kit says grimly. "I don't think we can afford to lose any more precious time. We've lost enough time already, with Courtney being wounded and Wizdom getting captured by those orcs." He pauses. "Ness," he says finally, "if you've been following us all the way, why didn't you do something to help when Wiz was captured?"

[Courtney]

"Wow I didn't even think of that!" courts says sllepily. "I wonder if maybe she'ss from... (eerie miusic)...MORDOR!"

[Ness]

i wasn't here, i was occupied, i came as soon as i could. However there is no use arguing over the past, we must go on to meet our future.

[Kit Baggins]

"Good point." Kit says reluctantly, still a bit suspicious of Ness. "We'd better be going." As soon as he climbs out of the boat, however, he sits down and is asleep within moments.

[Afterglow]

"Get going, huh?" ::sits against a tree:: "I suppose we better rest."

[Kit Baggins]

The next day, they set off again for Mordor. It is a bright, clear day and they can see for miles. Suddenly Kit notices something up ahead. There is a dark shape, and as it gets nearer, he can see that it is an army of orcs- and they're headed towards them.
"Uh-oh..." he says slowly.

[Afterglow]

"Argh! More Orcs...always orcs..." Afterglow mutters. ::pulls out her staff:: ::the yellow crystal on the end of it glows:: Afterglow jumps off to the side of the road, getting in position and motions that the others should do the same.

[Kit Baggins]

Kit gets his frying-pan out of his bag, ready to hit the orcs with it...

[Afterglow]

The orcs approach. Right as they come running Afterglow waves her wand and a wall of electricity shoots across the road. The first wave of Orcs run into it...

[Ness]

Ness watches as afterglow casts the wall of electricty. a ball of energy starts to form in Ness' hands, as the second wave of orcs approaches, he launces the disc of energy, all the bodies of the group fall to the ground headless.

[Dain Ironfoot]

Dain turns into a giant drake. Roaring and spueing fire....

[Lucie Baggins]

Ducking around the jets of flame and electricity, Kit randomly beats all the nearby orcs unconscious with his frying-pan.
"Do you think they're actually looking for us, or are we just always in the wrong place at the wrong time?" he shouts to the others.

[Kit Baggins]

A horse and rider appears on the West bank. The others look, and they see Aredhel. Her fair elvish voice calls out to them,"There is something that I have to attend to. I'll meet you at your destination. " Turns away and gallops south.

[Courtney]

(Do you guys think we are almost in Mordor yet? Is there ever going to be a point to this?...sigh..oh well...)
Courtney sets up camp under the rocks of the mountains. "I can almost feel the evil in the eastern wind." Courtney shivers and looks at her arm. The writing is a dull dark brown, "Well, at least we'll know that we are safe for a little while." Courtney sits down to a nice meal of waffles.

[Afterglow]

After the meal, they set out. Afterglow can feel the presence of Mordor...(yes we're close)

[Courtney]

As they climb farther and farther into the dark mountains, the wind gets colder. Courtney leads everybody into a small tunnel (not the one Frodo went through) "This will take us through the mountains. We'll come through just North of Mount Doom. I hope Cane will tell us what to do by then." They start going down the tunnel.

[Kit Baggins]

As they come out the other side of the tunnel, it is as dark outside as it was in the tunnel. As Kit's eyes slowly adjust, he can make out dark shapes out in the landscape. Suddenly, from one of the shapes, a huge jet of flame leaps up. Kit yells in surprise, and the others glare at him. It slowly occurs to Kit that he is looking at Mount Doom.
"We made it, then." he says quietly. "Now what happens? We brought Cane to Mordor, and now what?" he asks Wizdom.

[menchu]

Then the group heard a cry coming from the tunnel they had just come out of. A panting accompanied it.

-...It's... it's... me... Guys, I was called to deliver some important messages...- said the hobbit they had not seen for days.
Menchu left one day at night when she [got a call to her mobile? :D Ok, no cellulars] had a weird dream that warned her about some business in Mirkwood. [I hope somebody can follow it somehow!]

-This... is for you... Aredhel. An elf wanted... you... to have it.
Menchu then took a breathen and pulled out from her bag a wrapped item that had netted with some yarns. She removed them and gave the strange parcel to her.

[Aredhel]

They hear a voice behind them,"What is it?" it asks. They turn around and it's Aredhel.

"Sorry, I have been gone so long. I had urgent business I had to attend to."

She reaches foward, and takes the parcel from Menchu. She opens it and gasps.
(What is it???)

[Courtney]

"Oh wow!" Courtney says in amazement, peering at the gift. "It's so rare and remarkable!" (I really have no idea what it is) "I wish I had one of those!"

[Aredhel]

(I'll just say what I think it is)

She holds up several things,"I must have forgotten these some time ago. Let's see...my ring...the one with the blue diamond set in mithril bordered with gold...my gold necklace trimmed with mithri and silver...my amulet given to me by Dengen-Goroth, Lord of Angmar."

The wrapping falls to the ground along with a piece of parchment,"Oh...a note." She picks it up and reads the elven runes on it," It's from King Thranduil in Mirkwood...

'Dear Aredhel,

Next time, you will be forgetting your head here, when you go off to the dark land!...These objects, the ring, necklace and amulet, will protect you and your companions on this dangerous road into this place. Next time, you will not be so lucky!

King Thranduil'
Aredhel laughs sheepishly, before putting on the jewels.
"Where's Wizdom?," she asks after a while.

[menchu]

-I'm glad you seem to appreciate it. A good messenger never takes a peep at those private things...- comments Menchu while blushing.

[Courtney]

"Thank you for your help menchu. Would you like to come with us on our journey?" Courtney says while absent-mindedly scratching her arm .
The strange writing no longer glows, but ever since they came through the tunnel, it has left her arm numb and nearly useless. "I wonder if I should tell someone about it..." courtney thinks. "No. i'm just being rediculous. It's just my imagination!" But even as she thinks that, her hand moves uncontrollably toward her sword...

[menchu]

-You're welcome Courtney. Yes I would love to go with you as old times... Just hope I'm not requested in Mirkwood or anywhere during the journey.- sighs the hobbit.
Menchu sees a kind of "rash" on Courtney's itching arm zone and starts looking for some rosemary in her bag, but doesn't realize what happens with the sword...

[Aredhel]

[Your're welcome, menchu]

She laughs, her heart not yet weighted down from where they where located.

"The three work together,"she says, partially to herself.

She watches closely as Menchu looks for the rosemary.

[Courtney]

Courtney struggles against herself, and manages to resheath her sword. She looks around nervously hoping that no one saw. Ever since that day she got that cut on her arm she felt strange. her heart felt heavy. All she wanted to do was sleep... forever... and ever...
"No!" courtney cried out, pulling herself back into awareness. Her companions look at her strangely. "I guess i should probably tell them" she thinks "one of them will know what to do" But when they ask what's wrong she simply says she was daydreaming.

[Aredhel]

She is now greatly concerned with Courtney,"I think it was more than just daydreaming.I think that as we get closer to Barad-dur...." Pauses..."Something is trying to draw you there..."


"I'll do everything I can to help you fight it."

[Wizdom]

"And so will I." they all jumped at the sound of the deep voice. (Sorry been gone a while...) "I think that you should come with me courtny, you to aredhel, Dain will remain with the others... we have to find a way to get that mark off." he said.

[Courtney]

"Yes, I think that's a good idea," Courtney said as she starts to follow Wizdom, "but i don't want to go without Kit! Can't he come too?"
Courtney looks at her arm again and shudders. "I just want it to go away! I just want to be back in the shire in my nice hobbit hole!" Courtney hasn't even mentioned the Shire in weeks. Suddenly she bursts in to tears. "I'm sorry guys!" she sobs "I have probably ruined your quest! I cause more trouble than I help!"

[Kit Baggins]

Kit hugs Courtney.
Don't worry." he says. "You haven't ruined anything. And I just know we'll get back to the Shire safely." Then he looks at Wizdom. "Could I come?" he asks.. "It might make Courtney feel a bit better about this quest."

[menchu]

Meanwhile menchu comments some properties of rosemary and other plants.

She smiles warmly at the others, before following Wizdom.

[Courtney]

Courtney sprinkles a few of the herbs on her arm, and although her arm stays the same, she can feel her mind begin to clear. She follows slowly behind Wizdom and wonders if things will ever go back to noraml....

[Wizdom]

"Don't worry little hobbit, will have you right as rain in no time." he said warmly in his light irish accent. he nodds to kitt to show that he can come. "There is only one place that can heal a wound like this.... And i belive only you know it." he said in a hushed voice to Aredhel.

[Ness]

Good luck, and may you go home in one piece. says ness, he starts to giggle, and then starts laughing uncontrolably. Everyone looks at him. Whats wrong with him? asks kit, i always knew there was something wierd about him. ness looks up and stutters. u-uh, s-sorry guys. well, um...im shuting up now. ness shapeshifts into an eagle and flys to a nearby tree where he waits until the journey continues.

[Courtney]

Courtney walks slowly down the path as it gets darker and darker. "I don't care where we go, it can't be any worse than this! I can almost feel the evil coming up out of the rocks!"

[Kit Baggins]

Kit shudders.
"The sooner we take Cane where he wants to go, and the sooner we get out of here, the better." he mutters.

[menchu]

Menchu, seeing how involved they are about the journey, asks her companions about what has happened since she left the group to make them forget about it. Then she tells the others about her meetings and business in Mirkwood.

[Aredhel]

She nodded in response to Wizdom,"Very well, then."

[Courtney]

As they continue walking long into the night, the sky grows even darker as clouds roll in. They can hear thunder off in the distance. "do you think we better get under those rock ledges over there?" courtney asks as the wind gushes harder and harder and nearly knocks Courtney off her feet. "I don't know what it is about this storm, but something just doesn't seem right... I know I don't want to be caught in the middle of it!"

[menchu]

-For Arda's shake! I had not seen such a storm in ages- cries Menchu while she covers herself with the hood of her cloak.
A lighting nearby soon replies to the thunder they had heard.

[I remember you most of us hobbits chose to be curly-haired... Now does anyone have a comb? :D ]

[Aredhel]

She crouches beside Menchu.

[Where are we now?]

[Kit Baggins]

[somewhere in Mordor, I think :confused: ]
Kit pulls the hood of his cloak up and tries to keep the rain off him with his frying-pan.

[Aredhel]

She went down the path, following Wizdom and thinking quietly to herself,"Only in the Blessed Realm of Arda..."

[Courtney]

Just as Courtney is about to fall asleep walking, she hears a noise off to the left. she flances over, and it is her old pony. "What are you doing here?" Courtney exclaims. "You must have followed us all the way!" Courtney gladly gets on the pony and falls right to sleep knowing that her good horse would never let her fall off.

[menchu]

*Darn! If only I had some waffles as old times Courtney had... I wouldn't pay attention to the rain. I am dying for a cake... or a croissant...*

[Aredhel]

"I think we are running out of food," she says, looking into her pack.

[Kit Baggins]

Kit looks in his pack.
"I've got a frying-pan." he says sadly. "But nothing to fry in it." Then he laughs. "We must look a sight!" he says. "Three soggy hobbits, one soggy wizard and a soggy Elf." Kit looks at Aredhel, who is not as wet as any of the others. "All right, a not-very-soggy Elf." he concedes. Kit laughs again. "We're really going to strike fear into the hearts of the servants of evil, aren't we?" he says sarcastically.

[Aredhel]

"We'll have to find some. Here," she says,"are some lembas."

She gives one to Kit, and eats half a one.
