hi, I don't know if this place has a special thread for this kind of request, but is anyone interested in some light role-playing? Nothing too strenuous you see, just something like the Small Guilds were back on MERPG.
Thanks!

Wonderful ladies! It's great to see you! *chuckles gleefully over familiar 'faces'*
If you are looking into starting a community type RP, go ahead and post it in 'Strolls through Green Hill country.' Don't even worry about permission right now, just get it up and going. :D

I might be interested
But I'd have to see what it's looking like... :D

Hey guys, come on over to "The Nightfell Hollow Inn" it's inside of the Warriors of Valar. It would be considered light-roleplay

Mirelena! Rosie! I'm so glad to see you guys!
Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of Hobbiton, or parhaps something new? I don't really know. Anyone got any ideas?
Well, whatever it is you're planning to do, Luthy, you can count me in:) My last exam is on the 30th and then I'll be free for four blissful months:D Loads of free time on my hands:)
What did you have in mind?

well what were we thinking about doing before people started leaving and the site started dying and such? Wasn't there talk of a party and an adventure? or is that just me? hmmm... seriously though guys, any ideas?
Luthy... it's a long time since anyone's called me that!

The Hobbiton thing? Yah, we were planning on having a Midsummer fair thingy with a poetry and song competition and other stuff like that. Does that mean you want to start Hobbiton again, then?
hmmm... seriously though guys, any ideas?
Well, I know one thing for sure: we don't need anymore Inn RPs:p Other than that...*shrugs* it's up to you guys. I'm willing to go along with whatever you come up with.
Luthy... it's a long time since anyone's called me that!
Lol:p Well you better start getting used to it again;) Luthy or Elenese, both are your nicks from now on, depending on whether Luthien (Cic) is posting in the same thread or not:)

That's for sure! this place is full of drunkards!
ok, well I was just trying to toss a few ideas about really, so is it gonna be a revival of Hobbiton or something different?
~Hobbiton~
pros, we already roughly know whats going on and many of us have charecters already.
cons, there aren't many of us left, so continuing could be difficult.
~Something else~
pros, a fresh start, not so much pressure on us to do as well as Hobbiton did origionally.
cons, it means having to think up another charecter for another RP, the site is all different so this is even more different stuff

For that last con thing that you mentioned, why do you believe that you have to come up with a new character for a new R. P. G. type thing? *hides* Did I miss the point where an unavoidable rule declared that you could only use a character in one place and never again, so hope that you don't like your character that much or hope that the thread lasts for all time? I have no idea. Also, I never paid much attention to the crazy Hobbiton thing that you people are writing about. If contribution on my part for making up something new would be appreciated, tell me what you're looking for.
Heh, no you don't need to create a new character for every different Rp:p
Personally I think we should start anew. That way we wouldn't make references to the old threads and have new RPers eyeing us in confusion;) The question is: what sort of a new rp would you like to be in?

Ack. I tried to post awhile ago but 'the server was too busy'. Humph.
Anyway, I think starting over would be best, but by no means does it follow that we need all new characters. Quite the contrary! I love Elanor, I ain't givin' 'er up that easy! And having characters that were previously friends still friends would be good too, no reason they would have to meet all over again or whatever. They all live in Hobbiton together, after all, they're going to know each other.
Even keeping the idea of having a fair would be good, as long as we remember (and it shouldn't too difficult) to leave it open for new members to join in easily. This doesn't mean that we should just bring the old Hobbiton back again, but there is no reason to simply throw out fun and workable ideas just because we've moved locations.
Comments?

Well? I'm pretty anxious to get this thing started. We don't really need a plot, so we don't have to wait to work that out. We could have whoever is in charge (Reem? someone else?) start the IC thread and get going!
Ok, so I'm a bit impatient, but I really want to start this RP!
I'm strictly a follower in this; I haven't got time or energy for anything more. I think Luthy should take charge, since it was her idea, really:)

Second the motion! (not that it was exactly a motion, but anyway, we all support ya, Luthy!)

Me? huh? why? I'm far too stupid!
(I would have posted sooner but the server was too busy apparently...)

ok, if you want me to, I'll do it. But seriously, what is it gonna be about? Hobbiton? or something else?

(Just to put my nose in) :D
I think it might be fun to be on the edge of Hobbiton...
That way 'any thing' could go through and it's not to far from anywhere...
If it was on an odd road to and from everywhere and maybe there are spys starting to sneak into the land...!
Ok, maybe not quiet like that :p it was just a thought... :D

Thats an idea, but it's not like it only has to be in only one place. Theres no reason it can't be in various places around Hobbiton, if you want something a little less controlled, take it a bit outside the town if you think it best, or wherever. This is light role playing, after all, we're not too structured. The basic point is just to have fun with hobbits without worrying about a huge serious plot or whatever. (Unless I majorly missed the point of a 'light roleplaying/Hobbiton' thread.
I'm all for AraCeleb's idea. If we set the main part of the RP on a tangent of Hobbiton or somewhere equally obscure we can mange to pass off irregularities and unrelated plots. And from that base we can send off our characters to frolic about the country, eh, RosaLee?;):p
All that remains now is to choose a location and begin posting:)
Luthien Elenese

hey, that sounds great! location, location, location... how about somewhere near the Old Forest? That would give us the flexibility of having more races than just hobbits...
Rosalee LuAnn
05-27-2005, 04:49 AM
Yeah... but I guess it couldn't exactly be called 'Hobbiton' anymore, as it won't be there. Maybe just 'the Shire'? That would leave a bit more liberty for moving around.
And it's Rosalee, not RosaLee. Sorry, just had to say that. Yes, I know I'm nit-picky. (it's the second name with the capitol--LuAnn, not Luann. Ok, I'll stop being dumb now. I have no idea why I'm so persnickety, just ignore me now...)
*Clears throat* ah, yes, sorry about that, Rosalee. I don't usually scrutinize other people's names other than to make sure I got the spelling right, and the different capitals in yours just got confused in my head:p I'll make sure not to mess it up again;)
:D  :( (these smilies are unrelated; my three-year-old nephew is sitting on my lap and he's insisting on seeing them on the screen:p)

ok then! all in favour of 'The Shire'?

Me again! :D
I have a character started in another RPG and was wondering if I could 'copy' her in this... :o (I would use close to the same intro post) It would be fun to see how it goes... ;)
But if that's not expectable... :)
**but if I can, I have to wait to find the right time to put her in...**

Wait, I'm confused. Do you mean acceptable? And, as far as I know, there is no rule against using the same character in multiple RP theads. Using the same character in two (or more) threads is alright in my book. (Of course, I'm not the one in charge...but there isn't really any reason why you couldn't that I can see anyway.)
And Luthien (or whoever is in charge?) what about a profile thread or whatever? Should we post profiles in this thread or make a 'Shire (or whatever it ends up being called) Profile Thread'?

:o sorry, yes, that is what I meant. (i hav a hard tim sepl'n sum tims) ;) :D
Aye, Luthy's in charge. And like all RPs our should have an OOC thread. Looking forward to RPing with you lot. See you when the thread starts:) For now I've got one last final exam to study for;)
