It's an RP taking place among some goblins, a few easterlings and other associates such as wargs, and maybe even a spy, traitor to west, or slave North-man can show up. It takes place during the victories of the wain-riders over Gondor and the Northmen in the Third Age.
See here for more information: The Plundered Pint (http://www.thetolkienforum.com/showthread.php?t=17361)
The storyline is free-flowing. Basically, just a bunch of goblins doing goblin things, lot of fighting, distrust, scheming. Right now I imagine that two goblins who seem somewhat high-ranking are in charge with running a Goblin-Inn. Hehe! Anyhow, one is scheming against the other. Whatever unfolds from this... doesn't matter.
Roles that would be especially appreciated:
1) Very High-ranking goblin, or an Easterling of rank whose many duties would include over-seeing this goblin Inn. He might show up at times and check the tavern out and make sure the place is functioning the best a goblin place can. He would promote, punish, kill, whatever was needed. Small role though, he isn't around much, and when he is coming, news of usually gets there first!
1) Random goblins who are regular guests at or who are employees of the Tavern.
The nature of this Inn and Tavern.
If you want to join just start posting and jump in like you would any other tavern. No permissions needed unless you have an idea that would seriously alter the way things are run.
Details, if you care to concern yourself:
It is one of many refreshment places located thorughout the mountains with the purpose of serving workers. This Plundered Pint is located behind an entrace that eventually leads back to a network of tunnels with dwelling places for slaves, guests, and Inn workers.
How the tavern is supplied: There are fresh streams of water in the area. Right now there are a lot of spoils, and the slaves down in the caves include North-men who make breads and other goods. There are slaves entering Mordor who grow crops to the south as well, and a lot of grain and such comes up from there. Probably about set up for Nazgul to enter Mordor. Sauron still up in Dol-guldur would be "He" unnamed, but he doesn't really come into this. For the most part we don't need to concern ourselves with the details of where everything comes from, and it can be written in as best suits the need of the stories we want to tell.
Easterlings would only stay here if they had a good reason like a meeting with goblins, were especially wicked and wanted North-men slaves to badger, or were lower ranking soldiers who couldn't afford or get to a drink anywhere else at the time. So at any given time 80 or 90 percent of the guests are going to be goblins.
Payment system. Easterlings pay in gold or other goods. Local goblins usually get to stay free since they pay in labour, but for special services, unusually good food and drink, or anything thats hard to come by, they end up getting charged whatever the guy running the place says. There are often disputes over payment, and sometimes goblins try to charge more than they should.
Most of the profits aren't really profits, as they go back into the cycle of goblin labour taking place in and around Mordor. Any profits are generally had in the form of excessive high-quality goods among the higher ups. But its a goblin place, how organized and stable could it be?
