These are my new glasses. :) My first pair ever. (Any you may have seen me in before this are fake. :D) But these are real.
The ones in this picture are an opaque black frame, with a translucent crystal blue backing (as seen on earpiece, the lighter colour also runs on the backside of the black part around the lenses).
Mine have an opaque plum coloured frame, and a translucent crystal violet backing. :)

So I'm going to post them...slowly. Some aren't worth posting. (Like the many many many pictures I took of waterfowl..I LOVE waterbirds. :)) but most are brilliant. :) *continues talking herself up willy nilly*

So to make my first contribution from the Wonks Visit to England Photo Collection, here is a picture of the ruins if Kenilworth Castle. I have lots of these and they're among my favourite. :)

We went towards the end of the day. I think they close at 4 and we got there aroune 2:30-3...so the sun was on it's way down and it cast gorgeous shadows across the ruins. :) I love it.

Here are some pictures I took of the eclipse on Saturday night. I used a Kodak DC215 digital camera, which is really suited for snapshots and the like. So the pictures don't really do the eclipse justice. Also, I didn't have the camera mounted on the telescope, so there was no zoom to speak of.

I don't know how to attack all the pictures to one post, so I'm afraid I'll have to attach them sequentially.

This is the dress I made for RotK (which will be showing up at renaissance faires in the summer), and is also the first major sewing project I've ever completed on my own. My mom wasn't even in the same state when I made it. I'm excessively proud of myself. The picture was taken in Lomelinde's backyard. My hair really isn't blonde, it just looks that way in the picture.

The Fates, or the Wyrd Sisters, as we like to call ourselves- from the left me (in blue), Lomelinde (in green- isn't she pretty?), and Raithnait (in red- she made both her dress and Lomie's). Lomie and Rai are my two oldest friends- that is, the two people not related to me by blood who have put up with me the longest (with Lomie, I did convert her to Tolkien. This is Lomie and Beren, whose real name is Zach, but I never call him that. There is a complicated series of circumstances behind this, but mostly 'Beren' is a way more romantic sounding name than 'Zachary', which sounds like a sneeze (no offense to the Zacharys in the audience). Anyway, he puts up with not having a real name- and actually just puts up with Lomie's insane friends in general and is really nice in addition to being adorable, and don't they look sweet together? ;) They really deserve each other. Rhi is pleased :D

This is me, at the tail end of the President's Day Snowstorm of Feb. 2003 when about 2 ft. of snow was dumped on northern Virginia. As you might guess, I work for the highway department and when that picture was taken, I was working "snow duty" and I hadn't been home for four days. What's more, I neglected to bring changes of clothes so what you see is what I had been wearing for four days straight (Ewwwwww!!)
