What is this RPG about? Can you provide a rough outline? Are you in need of some characters, and if so, what kind ought they to be?

Right now it's based around Lenora and something she is going to try to do. The only man she ever fell in love with (I think I'll call him Jiovan) took the blame for something she did... More can be told later.

Lenora has lost everything now and is looking for ways to, if not get back what was hers, claim revenge on the men that caused her to be where she is. Dar's character first has to save what he sees as a young woman from the hands of the gang, she is going think he might be useful and to start looking for ways to get him to work for her. Again, more as we go.

Other characters at this point would be side characters unless some one wants to take the roll of any of the gang members or would like to come up with another option.

Daranavo and I have been thinking over this for a while and so most of it revolves around our characters, I'll admit to not giving much thought to fitting in any other large parts, but if you have something you would like to mention...

I'll have to think on what type of chracater I'd be, but it would probobly be either a gang member, or an enemy. I'm not sure.

I was just watching TTT EE and got to the part where the elves come to Helms Deep and it got my head screaming RP RP RP!!!!! lol So here I am. :p

Lenora is her own person; makes her own rules, gets what she needs by hook or by crook and is not one that could be called a 'lady'! ;) 'Wild cat' maybe, but not 'lady like'.

She's has no side but her own. "bad' is against her and 'good'... well... :rolleyes: That just depends... *shrugs* I need to think how we can work it with more people. :) Ideas anyone?

Dar?! Where are ya?! Don't vanish when you're half of starting this thing! What would you think we could do now? I'm thinking but need to get some ideas and new thoughts in.

The chracter I'm thinking of is Lenora's elven uncle. He hears that she's up to no good an comes to find out for himself and to try (I repeat, try) and get her to behave....fat chance :D

Hey do we start playing now, or what's the plan Ace?

As far as my entry, I think I'll start Belgaer off in Mirkwod, just deciding that he's goin after his neice, and then he'll have to journey there, and then, and only then, will he make a grand entry.

Him not being a one of the primary characters, you should have the others developed and into the story before I get there.

*Smiles sweetly after gaining back control of her laughter* I only said that Dar and I, as the ones to start this idea, had not given much thought to others joining and therefor we did not think how to work in other characters right around ours. (this can be rethought...)

Some things to be worked out:

What age should this be, or do you think we need one?

Locations are up to you for starting, should there be a set area where this is located? I had though it would be from a wanderer's view and not really worry too much of having specific places... thoughts?

I'm waiting to hear back from Dar, so if there are any ideas or anything, now would be fine to bring them up and we can start thinking over them.

what time third age...the later the better for me....I thought someone said that we were in fourth age, so I made my profile to advance up to that. I honastly think that we should have it fourth age, since bandits and such weren't really a big issue in the thrid age. People were to worried about Sauron. Badits could be the primary 'thing' going on if we push it to fourth age.

I was considering the third age several years before the fellowship. We are attempting to create a story outline. The idea that was tossed around is that Rai would play Ara's characters lost love. Also a thief and conman, however he was caught and thought by Ara's character to have been killed for crimes that she commited. However, due to the heroic efforts of his "sister" he escaped. He ofcourse feels betrayed and seeks out the one that left him to die for her. I will play an older, retired soldier of Gondor that happens across Ara's path and is manipulated by her. Let me know what you all think of this.

The time period thing works for me also. In my profile, the last recorded doings of my character was helping Aragorn hunt down Gollum, and he was in and out of that phase. Perhaps we could start about there...

Rai? Fir? What'ch ya think? Is there something you would rather do or would something like that work for the two of you?

As far as the age... I really don't know enough to be any help with that...:o Before the Fellowship, first age, third age, we could even try seventh age for all the history I know! :p (I really should do some reading on that..:rolleyes: )

Fir, as for playing 'Rai's' "sister", that role (as well as any other) is up to you. :) I tend to think it could be interesting to see how things go if it were to be written that way... *shrugs* Whatever... I'm just the one to have started this thing, I really just want you to have fun and to see what you come up with. :)

I vote third age year 3020. Those of you who know what that means, how does that work? That makes it before FotR, after the hobbit, Aragorn is young and not really relitive to Middle Earth, etc.

Ace, I think I'm going to stick with Belgaer for a while, and later on, if need arises, I will make another character.

Lenora's profile only has a tinny bit about that part of the background story, so I'll try to put a little more here.

Lenora has only ever found herself in love with one man.
He came to be, or was already part of, her band of thieves.
He was captured and sentenced (she thinks him dead) for Lenora's crimes.

Rai could take the role of said man. (up to you Rai)
He escapes from wherever they were holding him. (with or without help)
Thinking that she betrayed him, he essentially decides to hunt her down...

I really don't see this as much of a stretch from what you have as a profile now... Only a few changes that you would be welcome to play with if this idea seems to be one you might go with. He's NOT a 'good guy'! In fact he could potentially now be her worst enemy! He would remember her well enough and as she thinks him dead she would never see him comming...*shivers* Almost anything could happen!

Is this a problem? The idea here being that she has her own plans and intends to get someone to work for her, this is how she got the bandits together in the first place. Offering them riches, adventure and basically anything that could be a carrot on the end of the proverbially stick. "Come work for me and you'll not have to worry about food." and so on when she found someone she wanted on her crew. "Why worry about being caught? You're a smart man, you're just what we need..." I think you might get the idea...:rolleyes:

The reason she is trying is because she wants revenge on the men that cost her every thing she had; the gang; the treasures she worked hard to get and other things. Included on her list is to kill the one that took the life of the man she loved. She simply can't do all this on her own and seeing that Dar's man is (was) a soldier, she thinks this might be a good place to start...

Ok, this is a good start. For now, I need to come to understand the motivations of Fir's character and Rai's character. Also, I believe it would keep the story moving if we keep the followers and us 2 seperate for a while longer. I see no reason to rush into a confrontation just yet. Ara's character and Argent need time to develope some sort of relationship. Otherwise I doubt Argent would ever risk his life for her. We were originally thinking a father/daughter type of thing. But as I said it would take time. Rai and Fir's character could present themselves as searching and give us time to get to know them in the story before we get to the meeting.

I think that would be fine Rai. If you don't mind, may we ask if we need you to do anything 'bigger' at some point if we need it? But I think for the most part you can do whatever you like... And as far as I know, you can post whenever you would like to.

I had though for a while that it could be somewhere just sorta random but we really do need a solid place to go from.

lol, I know the feeling. Two days before my 13th birthday, I broke my arm. A little over a year later, I tore a ligament in my other arm. Both injuries required a full arm cast for 12 weeks. I learned to type left handed, right handed, and eventually both handed. I actually got active on TTF durning my first injury, becuase I was so board. I couldn't to anything BUT putz on the computer. :D

So..? Anyone want to put up an idea for location? It could be along almost any of the main roads right now. Somewhere where there would be trees, caves, fields and probably a few towns. The cave Lenora's band holds up in wouldn't be too far from a town but far enough to not be easily found by just anyone... That's just my thought though, others are welcome. :)

lol, glad you liked it. I think I'll keep doing posts like that, with my character meeting people along the way that crossed paths with Lanora. This will add to her past, as well as develope my character.

One thing with that idea Fir. Most people would probably better know of her (if at all) by reputation or description and not necessarily so much by name. Example, just after random theft; victim and or by-stander: "I don't know, I thought she was just a traveler. How should I 'ave know she was going to do that?! One second I have a bag of money and the next..!" or "OH? I've heard of that one! A no good thief she is! If I was you I'd not get too close, she'll rob ya blind she will!"

Anyway, maybe those aren't the best examples but I think it gives a look at some of my thoughts. Fine by me if you want to do that, though if I find anything that doesn't really fit who she is, you mind if I ask you to change it if need be? I don't think it'll be any problem but just in case, it would be good. :)

Let me set a few things out about Lenora. I've been working on her for a while now and it struck me that she would not be much of one to actually pull a band together on her own. More likely there was already somewhat of a gang and she got into and it and took the lead as the one to 'know better'. The big guy that she was fighting was (in that case) the one that should have had the lead but she took it out from under his nose. Like has been said, he HATES her, so I easily see that as being part of the deal.

Being half elf she has a few tricks up her sleeves:
She is not much of a healer but her body is quick to heal it's self from things like small cuts and bruises; there is a bit of talent with animals; good eye sight and hearing...

But as half human she has to deal with very human emotions; she can get sick; lost; confused; she is not truly immortal...

Also, something that I really should say here: she does have a limit to what she will do to get someone 'under her power'. As she does not want to be seen as weak, she has kept herself to herself; even the man she loved (and watched die?!) didn't sleep with her. Now, yeah, I know you're like 'but, what? She's not the kind that would hold back if she felt like that!' Oh no? I say it would have been that she loved him but refused to let him 'own' her. The fact being that if there was something she knew she would have to pay for, (love is never without cost for someone like her.) she would try to slip out of it and move on to something else. Would she buy men with her body? It could be one of the things that got their attention first but no, she would know better then to let them think that they could have her whenever the mood struck. I would think that that is part of why They were so eager to take advantage of her when they saw her helpless. It was the one thing that had been really denied them.

Now that I've said all that, I am working on filling in her past by giving her dreams and memories; she going to be a little more relaxed now that she only has to watch out for one man, Argent, and so you'll start to see what dreams haunt her. Though she doesn't want to be seen as weak she can not control what she dreams and is too weary when she does sleep to know that they show.

{edit=} Questions? I hope I haven't smashed any ideas too hard here but I though it best to set a few things out. I really want to keep this fun and get it somewhere and had a day when I knew I should say something and had the words to do so. :)

So you're not going to build him up any? I would think he could wander around (not really finding anything of Lenora's trail) just so you can work with him a bit before something really happens...

Many people do not know your character well yet. Perhaps a few posts that include picking up the trail while following us and including also some background information to give us a sense of who he is. No need to rush into it. Character development is important I think.

I could have him meet someone on the road that he can talk to...that would cause me to make another character - which I don't want to, nor have time to do.

I could just have him wander somemore, but that would mean him going on and o on his won, adn that gets boring....

If you have any suggestions that don't involve me getting bored and/or making another character,I'd be glad to comlpy. I'm ready to RP, but I'm just not seeing any worth while thing to do until I at least pick up your trail. I can't even meet up with Lenora's old band of critters (lol) without picking up your trail, and then that would get me to you in a rather short time. You guys are in a wagon....you havnn't gone very far...perhaps I should get a horse..a horse might be good.

I have math to do at the moment though..I'll be back!

I really think he would do well with some play time before running into the two of us. He needs to eat, make camp, plan the trip... almost anything could do if you think it over. I'm sure you'll come up with something.

I apologise for being away for so long. Seems my work has no end and the Military Ball is coming up and, since my last promotion and new position, I'm the staff member in charge of planning that. I'm up to my beret in paperwork and haven't slept in two days. I'll get posting as soon as possible but I have a Color Guard tomorrow, then church, then Monday we start the Nursing Home runs so I'm slammed. Once again I'm sorry but I will post as soon as possible.
