RP 13: Destruction of the DarkBlade and the Meeting of Odin

She turns around quickly as he passes her. "Be careful!" she cries out. With one of the members of the fellowship leaving, we are left with very few. She notices everyone, fast asleep, and know she too must rest.

*Lytra sighs and looks down* "Even the stars seem to be grim... Something truly is amiss, and you were the first to know. Good luck Wizdom..."
*Lytra walks into the house of the Shaman and lies herself to sleep on a bed set on the floor*

She gets up, still half asleep, suddenly she cries, "Food!" She notices she has just shouted it out and smiles. "Morning everyone!"

*Lytra and the Shaman laugh at May lightly* Shaman: "Eat as you will, this is for you."

"Hehe, god, I don't think I could be more thankful." She grins and gets up.

Kwiver wakes up and her sleepily smiling face is immediatly transformed into a look of fear. She grabs her cloak and moves out past the sweet smelling food, ignoring its enticing aromas. She sees Lytra and walks purposely towards her back.
"Lytra," she whispers in a fearful voice. "There is trouble, i can smell it on the wind, i can hear it in the river and trees and all living things, i can taste it in the air we breath. I am undecided in what to do, i feel drawn towards an unknown source, far from here, but i also feel the need to stay with the fellowship. What is it you council me to do?"

[WarriorMay]

Has a sudden change of look on her face. She whispers, "Much of the fellowship has been deciding to leave. With little left of us the road become more dangerous, but Lytra is the deciding council..."
She looks over to Lytra and then to Kwiver. She gives a weak smile, "But none the less, If a friend feels the need to leave for one feels danger, I am forever thankful that you got this far with us."

[Valar]

*Valar a tall, stern ranger walks out of a near by room, and stairs around at the fellowship, he has also been in many battles in recent days and has found refuge in his friends, the shamans house.*

*He is most intruged by them and goes over to Lytra and the Shaman to discuss matters*

The gnoll gets up and walks over by the others ignoring the food as well "it would be harder to get by with almost half the fellowship gone Lytra. and it is best if we stay together for we do not know what dark forces we may encounter to get to and or get the darkblade. We would be better off beleaving that we will need all powers and people to defeat this dark power. ....But........It is up to you in the end Lytra." The gnoll looks into your eyes to try and see what you are thinking.


They say the eyes are the gatway to the sole.

She looks over to Valar, a face she hasn't seen. "Greetings." She says to him.

[Valar]

*Looks up and see's may*

" Good moro, fair warrior, my name is Valar."

"Indeed, this trouble you sense is all around. The best thing would be to stay... for this trouble is what we are trying to stop. It grows everyday, we must make haste now. Get ready and get your fill, we're leaving soon."

*walks back into the hut and up to Valar* "How are you feeling?"

[WarriorMay]

"My name is May, of Mirkwood." She tells Valar.

She turns her attention to her hunger and grins. "I hate having people know I'm hungry, makes me feel weird."

[Valar]

*Looks up and smiles*

"I am well my friend, a little battle weary but nothing to much. Indeed a great evil is coming down on this house, and i fear that we all must move on soon, for we cannot bring such evil to this home.
I, if you let me Lytra my friemd, would like to go with and fight this evil. Let us make haste for time is short, i am allready ready."

*smiles at the offer to come with, her violet eyes shining* *gets up walks over next to the shaman*

[Valar]

*Valar catchs the look in lytra eyes, and he gets a warm feeling inside.*

*Catching himself, he stands up looking stern, then as quick as a flash fits an arrow to his bow and shoots it through the open window, a yell is heard outside.*

He shouts " Fell creatures are here let us move on before to many come"

* Walks over to his friend the shaman give him a blue stone*

"Use this when we have left, all evil will disperse from here, you know how to use it my friend, good luck"

I run to the bed were I had slept and threw on my armor and grabed my spear. "What shall we do Lytra?" I stand near the door geting ready to sprint at any moment.

Nain who was also staying there asks if he may join them.........

[Ori Bloodbow]

"ME TOO!!!!!"

"Quiet." She whispers. She takes out her bow and draws out an arrow and takes aim. "On your word Lytra."

"Sorry" Ori replies........

((yes Ori, Nain, both of you may join))
"We must go, now!" *she begins out the door but the shaman stops her and hands her a map* Shaman: "I wish there was time to tell you about this map, but I am confident that you will understand it."
*Lytra nods and runs out the door to the nearest safe spot... north of the shaman's house, near the foot of the mountains*

I run after Lytra, panting when she finnaly stops running. "Why did we have to go so far?"

IC: Walks right behind Lytra, "Where does our path lie now?"

*When everyone arrives, valar looks over Lytra's shoulder at the map, it is covered in runes that he trys to remember how to read.
"My friend where are we to go, i have little time to speak to you before we where distured by these evil creatures."

"I think we should take the south east pass round the mountains, for i have battled many fell creatures on the northern side in recent days. This is my advice, but the decision in yours."

((ah darn, now I have to change my map. Oh well, it'll only take me a while to figure out or just make up runes...))

"The map says we have to go Southeast..."

"We've been traveling north...isn't that where the blade is?" A puzzeled look is upon her face.

OOC: sorry if i messed up your plans.

" Let us make haste then, before we run into are more misfortune. Is everyone ready?"

" I shall go on ahead and scout the route, do not worry you will see me soon, i will bring word of danger if there is some, if not i will find you."

* With a swift smile a lytra valar turns and runs off and soon disapeares*

"Wait!! You cannot go alone, it is far too dangerous." Looks at Lytra. "May I go with him?"

I beleave we should al stick together, we are a fellowship, we have one comon gole (sp?). We were brought together by fate and we should Never leave each other no matter if there seems to be no danger or if there is much danger. *The gnoll foldes her arms and looks at Valar with a stern look in her gold eyes*

"Do we want the safest or the shortest route to our intended destination? I, for one, am willing to risk a little skin to arrive more quickly than if we were completely safe. *Aerin pauses for a moment, then looks at Lyrta* Would it be completely safe?"

[WarriorMay]

"You're right...We should stick together...but in that case Valar cannot go." She smiles at her friends concern and turns to Lytra.

"North was the path to the Shaman's... noneother than him knew where the DarkBlade of Myth may be found. This map is the labor of the Shaman to help us on this quest, and the road leads Southeast." *she turns to Valar* "Indeed we must stay together, should we part the evils would swallow us all. If danger is what we face on the path ahead, may it be that we see it through together."

OOC: it kinda did ruin my map... but it was kinda screwy anyway. This gives me a chance to make it better.

OOC: I'm the only one who's seen the map....HEHE

IC: "Are we traveling light?" she asks Lytra so they can leave when ever they need to.

"Anything can be taken at a slow pace, given the time. But we must hurry."

"Then, what are we waiting for?" She takes a peek out the window just to make sure it is okay to go outside.

Ok, we shall stay together, but let us be on are guard.
May you take point ahead, and i shall cover the rear.
Let us travel light and only take what we need, i know a trail that leads us in cover for a short while round the mountain. Let us hope it has not been found.

*she comes out from the shadows "hello" she says looking at valar*

*Wheels about, draws his knife and holds it to Glorys throat*

"Who are you and what do you want"

OOC: Don't worry glory i'm just doing it for effect!

*gasp then she looks quite calm* I didn't expect that... well I shall introduce myself *she moves quite fast and hits valar just to grab his knife then put the knife on the floor and bows* my name it is Gloria but everybody call me by my elvish name Glory and about what I want well....many things...among them I came to help :

*Shocked, but impressed at the skill of the women. He returns the bow, and sheaths his knife*

" I am sorry, but we cannot be to careful in this age. Lytra what do you think?"

*Turns about looking stern*

Dain then apears with his bearded ax ready what did I miss?

*looks around* well I'll go to check if the place it is empy I bet that you don't want more surprises *returns to shadows and dissapears*

Smiles and says, "Welcome back Dain. Nothing has happened yet."

"Hello there. I hear you wish to join this quest? Once again Lytra, it is up to you..." She says smiling.

well yes I want to join to this quest so what are we going to do? *she looks at warriormay with little shame* ohh yes I haven't introduce myself i am gloria but you can call me glory *bows*

"This quest is for the DarkBlade of myth. We are seeking it. Welcome Glory, my name is May, Warrior of Mirkwood." She gives a little bow.

well I came from the lands of harlindor and I willl help you, my sword is at your service

Kwiver, worried about what was happening, but bound by fellowship, followed the group in silent thought. She greets Glory and then turns toward Valar. "Sorry for not welcoming you when u first joined us, i repair my fault now: Welcome! Where is it that you come from? Or is it that you are a traveller, a home in no one place like some of the fellowship?" She smiles wearily. "traveller or no, i'm sure u will be a worthy member of the fellowship."

*returns Kwiver greet* well I am happy to be join to a adventure

[Valar]

*Looks around at KWiver and smiles*

"greetings. You are right i am indeed a ranger, and i have never had a home or a familly. My family are my rangers and my companions. I hope we share many fair times together"

*Looks up at the sky wishing, but knowing its not true, that there is fair times to come*

OOC: goofoofighter told me that if she wasn't here for 3 days the RPG would have to come to a pause. So, I've counted how many days she hasn't been here and it's been at least 3 days. In that case, this RPG is at a Pause!

OOC: sorry I haven't been around for a while, but I'm back, if not for very long. Anyways... Glory, you can join... but I suggest you work on your skills a bit, I don't quite see you lasting. That and, no offense, but I didn't quite understand exactly what you did when you had your little bout with Valar.

I haven't had much progress with the map, but I have some ideas on what to do with it.

it is a sword of two edges it is (or a sword of double edge, anyway) made by the elves of the nort and wich it glows red right now* well *she looks at it and says* I don't like this it only glows when something bad it is about to happen it was done in old times according to elrond, watch this.... *she shows to goofoofighter an elvish inscription (this is ancient elvish before the mankind existed)* ((ooc: if somebody can read it here it's the translation: which thing is more red than the blood, wich thing it is more dark than the shadows when the evilnees comes to the world again only the word of the ancient existence can be hear))*.....the rest is impossible to read because the symbols have been worn away with the years*.... I think it is some kind of riddle...

"Tis my mistake, Sting does not glow a red glow, but blue." she says while looking at the sword.

"I do not think that you have Sting, as May said, Sting glows blue when Orcs are near, not red. You must have found another sword similar to Sting. I wonder how it was lost, for it was certainly a much cherished possession."

"Glory, do you mind if I could hold the sword?" she asks. "I could maybe look at it a little better."

*looks to Aerin and May* I know it is not sting, *looks at the sword* it is similar but not much because this one glows at danger not at orcs...or at least is what I am guessing.....*looks to Aerin again* I think the real owner died when I found the sword it seem like there was a fight in there.....but..we'll never know probalbly.....*looks at warriormay* yes you can hold it. *gives to may the sword*

Takes the sword, "Diola*." She wields the sword and looks at it carefully. "Interesting..."

Valar, never much intresred in the sword took the chance to walk a bit further up the valley to a better view.*
When he got back he said" I have seen a strange sight further on, a black mass of unpenitrable darkness. Has any of you any idea what it could be?"

Looks at Glory and says, "The sword gives me weird feelings that I cannot explain..." She hands back the sword and shakes her head, "Other than that, that sword is very amazing!"

*Looks at valar* "darkness....strange.... where did have you seen that?" *looks to may* "well I felt weird the first time I grabbed it...But ..I had the feeling of take it with me even when I didn't know how to fight with sword....."

*reads the riddle slowly and softly...* "Which thing is more red than the blood... which thing it is more dark... than the shadows... when the evilness comes to the world again... only the word of the ancient existance can be hear... I think they mean 'can be heard'..." *looks at the sword over completely* "This sword is older than you think, and in so may have held more holders than the one you saw fighting. Indeed it carries a will, but it's intentions I'm not so sure of."

*looks to Valar but does not say a word for a few moments* "We must go," *looks to each of them* "We have wasted too much time here," *leads the way Southward*

"Fellowship!" The gnoll, Kalahan, wispers. "I can smell something fell on the breeze. I cannot tell *stops and smells again*....but I think it draws near." Looks to Lytra with a slight bit of fear in her eyes.

Swiftly draws out her sword. "Do not fear, whatever it is, we can handle it."

"Kalahan, what you smell is more of an inate sense making itself known to warn you of the shadow that creeps north from the Withered Heath. I too sense this presence, not only drawing near here, but within those oblivious to it's being..."

*does not reply to May, but instead continues southward, appearing calm, but nervous knowing she has to face the shadow, and thoughtful, trying to solve the riddle of the Red Sword of Glory*

Follows Lytra but still has her sword out. "These shawdows you speak of, do you know what they want?"

[Valar]

*Walking next to Lytra and sensing the darkness in his mind too. He takes out his staff.*
"Lytra i shall be with you, never shall you fight alone, we will face the darkness together"

[Glory]

shadows *she mutters and goes deeply on her thoughts*

"No body is ever alone dear Valar." she says as she puts away her sword.

[Glory]

*Keeps walking*

"What can be said about a shadow besides it's darkness?"

mmm..shadows it is the lack of light the opossite

"Shadows can either be following out of curiosity, or they follow for something more, but you are right. There is nothing more about shadows that we do not know." she says.

*as they travel southward a few notice an eerie darkness a bit to the east of them (ultimately Southeast)* *the light of the morning sun seems unable to penetrate it*

Pats Glory on the shoulder. "Of coruse we!" she says smiling. "Do not forget, a fellowship is always there for each other."

so we need to move on *they had a quick breakfast and they kept travelling*

*after a while of walking for a few miles they stopped to rest because everyone where tired*

*Looking around at the fellowship and smiles*
"We are more than a fellowship, we are familly, a familly that i never had. Let us go and face the darkness together, i shall stand by and protect us for as long there is blood in veins"

BIC: I was born and breed in the shadows of Mordor under Sauron's eye. I thought I was the only one who beat the darkness and I thought I was the only one who had dark blood. Glory how did you grow?

It's is along history I grow up a while on Rivendell but I didn't born there I was travelling to Harlindon when ..well.. somehow I ended in a really dark place and I can't remember a lot about it...

*they kept travelling until the sunset then again they rested and they made a camp and fire just to spend the night warn they decided to continue travelling again with the first rays of the sun*

As the fellowship continues on, May scans the area. "Very interesting, funny, how I never new about this place."

*A smoke or steam seems to be rising from one of the forests, particularily hidden deeper in the hills than the rest.*

*Lytra takes a deep breath when they reach the peak of the Valley Mountain circle**she looks back to the fellowship*
"Are you ready to continue?"

"My sword stands at the ready, Lyrta. Lead whither you will; I shall follow you."

*As the storm creeps closer, you notice that the lightning is purple ((Aaron was bugging me to put that in)), and that a dark army; consisting mainly of orcs and other such goblins, is marching underneath the cloud cover... of which blotches out all sunlight, it's shadows are like moonless night. "Whatever storm it is, it sure is scaring me!" Covers her head with her arms.*

"Is there any cover we can get to by the time the storm reaches us? I don't think that that lightning is natural; I've never heard of purple lightning before!"

*Raindrops begin to fall and Aerin shields her eyes with her hand to see.*

*Lytra looks around for a possible place to hide, but with the darkness decending on the mountains it's hard to see much of anything*

"It's too hard to tell, I can't see a single thing!"

*Valar stops and searches through his pack, and pulls out a tinder box, he bends over for a few seconds and emerges with a lighted arrow in his hand*
"Follow me i think i saw a small cave down there before this storm, let us go take shelter"
*As he says that a scream is heard behind, the group turn round*

Aerin turned toward the source of the scream.

"Who was that?" she asked.

The scream continued on, the only sound in the sudden silence.

"quickly we must take cover it could be a scream from a little troup from that army I think Valar and I could go to check what is was everyone must wait until our return if something happens to us Valar can use his bow and shoot an arrow that way you'll know"

*she looks to Lytra waiting for her approval*

[Glory]

*Lytra nods in agrement Valar gives to her the lighted arrow. So while the group aheads to the cave after Valar gave to Lytra the instructions to get there. Glory and Valar goes to see where the scream came from.* "I hope we'll find something good but I don't think so..."

[Glory]

Ooc: is it anyone going to say something or am I going to keep posting like this?

IC: *Glory and Valar reach the place where the scream was heard they found nothing else than sings of an strugle*
Glory: "I think that wharever that happened here it's over"
Valar: "maybe but we still need to check around these grounds I don't want any surprises follow me!"

"I'll scout around the east of the site, and you can take the west, Valar. Who knows what we shall find."

*Those who went ahead to explore, along with the dead birds, find an army of Orcs and other such beastly creatures. Among the oncomming army of darkness, a few other taller figures can be seen lumbering along...*

*looks at the birds feeling sick* "do you think that wharever that kills those birds can hurt us?" *they have noticed the orcs Glory wonders if they might have something to do with it* "we should go to the cave and tell them what we saw"

*looks outside the cave* “I think the army have already crossed this point” *she turns to lyra and speak quietly explaining to the others what May and her found* ”I wonder what kind of thing or power could do that to the birds and why” *she says looking worried, takes a look outside the dark shadow is moving faster, she didn’t liked*

"Question is did they want us to find that."

*Looks outside and turns her attention to Lytra.*

"We shouldn't stay here too long, we waste time."

[Aerin]

"I agree with May, we should leave now. If whatever did that to the birds left it for us, then it is most likely waiting for us to remain here, too scared to move. We should move now, so we might have a chance to outdistance whatever it is that wants us dead."

*A flash of purple lighting illuminates a single, large shadow in front of the cave entrance*
*whispering* "Is that what you call 'past'?"
*The thing is closer than comfort can allow, you become aware of it's raspy breathing*

"Let's go, let's go!" yelled Aerin as the shadow crept nearer. Turning to run, she grabbed a torch and ran deeper into the cave calling for everyone to follow her.

OOC: Sorry I haven't been here awhile. I'm in London right now with my dad which is great, and I don't get to use the computer a lot. London is where I grew up so it's nice to be here. I was born in Canada but my dad took me to London when I was one or something, anyway.

*Lytra retreats farther into the cave as the raspy breath echoes off the walls. The stench of it's breath is almost unbearable. The creature growls gutterally under it's sniffling breath, it appears to smell us...*
*One with experience would almost think this creature to be a troll*

*glory take her sword from her shelth and gets ready to fight if she needs to....still looking worried* come on hurry!

*Lytra pats the back of the cave nervously* *she says quietly* "We can't run any further..."

*Glory's face goes pale but she remains quiet grabbing her sword...she looks at the others worried and bites her lip*

"I guess the only way out would be to fight that creature off."

*glory looks down suddenly seh raises her head and looks seriously at the others* "there's another way"

*still looking serious* "I...I will distract the creature while you guys ran away from the cave..."

*Lytra puts her hand on Glory's shoulder* "These are bold deeds that you speak of, but then how do you plan to get away?"

"Perhaps two should distract the monster, then they could help each other escape. What do you think, Lyrta?"

*she looks sadly at Lytra and wisphers to her* "I'm not planning to get away...." *she forces a smile and says* "I'll go ahead when you hear my sygnal start to run" *she walks ahead and then stops and turns* "...and please don't look back...." *she grabs her sword and walks away*

*Lytra looks at Aerin gravely*

*Shakes her head*

"Wait Glory. There must be another way. I'm not going to let you just go off alone like this. We've gone too far to loose you."

*looks at May and forces smile* "....don't worry...nothing is written..." *paths her in the shoulder* "...just run fast..ok?"

"Ok, but if anything should happen I'm not leaving you behind."

*turns to the rest*

"This seems to be our option, let's get to it."

*When it comes time to escape, Lytra is nowhere to be seen. But your anxiety to get out does not allow you to notice this*

*Glory grabs her sword and soon reaches the horrible beast*

"We must flee."

*Watches for Glory's signal to run*

*just exatly when they start to Run they see an arrow on fire fliying over their heads it was glory’s signal*

"We must set up camp, we will continue as soon as possible."

*As you walk you notice land you have never seen before; the small bunch of low mountains and high hills you have spotted earlier, and the hidden forests among them can only be seen as darker patches between the hills in the twilight of early morning. The same small shimmer from one of the forests you notice again. At the foot of the mountains you see some lights in what appear to be windows far away. You think of these lights to be a village of a sort and hope them to be friendly, Glory needs your help*

Aerin helps May carry Glory to the village.

"Do you think she'll be alright?"

"She should be fine." she says with a re-asuring smile. But then she turns her face away and whispers quietly to herself, "I hope so at least."

*glory keeps bleeding and hasn't woke up yet*

*Lytra hastens accross a vast field of long grass to the cover of forest and mountain.*

"No, I have to get you to the village. You need the help more, Lytra is a strong warrior, she can manage..." she says. "at least I hope she can"

*May stops quickly, taking a quick breath of air, and continues to run.*

*A sudden thought makes May stop. If Lytra is to die, what would happen to Glory and myself.*

"Glory hang on there, ok?"

*May runs back to Lytra, taking out her sword, and trying at the same time, carry Glory. Once she reaches Lytra, she fights as best as she can, to rid the orcs.*

*A great pain fills May, the thought of loosing either Glory or Lytra fills her with much pain. If she is to loose either, it would be her fault.*

*Lytra urges May to run, whether for good or ill.*
"Fighting carrying Glory hinders you ability, *blocks a strike at May* it leaves you vulnerable. Go!" *Lytra puts her hand on May's back and pushes her away, running with her for only a little while before turning back.*

"Stay with my Glory, we're almost there." she says.

*May continues to run, not looking back, having the fear that if she does turn around, she would see something horrible.*

*She runs and suddenly starts to struggle. May feels weak and tired.*

*They reach the village, May doesn't know where to take Glory. She looks around and searches for a friendly face.*

*glory somehow manages to wake up she hardly can see or speak she has lost too much blood she tries to speak and mutters something that sounds like helping Lytra*

*May looks down at Glory and then returns to finding someone who will help. She walks around the village, she is to weak, and her vision starts to get fuzzy. May feels light headed, but tries to find help.*

"I'll find help Glory, don't worry."

*glory being no able to hold on anymore faints again*

*May sees nothing but silver trees, though being as weary as she is she might think that she's just simply dreaming.*
*May, amid feeling dizzy, also gets a strangly comforting feeling, like nothing could go wrong. And indeed she believes that nothing can go wrong.*
