Kantra and Shadow stay back a long ways. Suddenly she rides up to the main group. "Has anyone else noticed that we have a shadow, and I don't mean my wolf."

Wizdom Begans to sing to try and calm everyone down.

Do you have the time, to listen to me whine about nothin and everything all at once? I am one of those melodramatic fools nerotic to the bone no doubt about it.... some times i give my self the creeps, sometimes my mind plays tricks on me... it all keeps adding up, i thinking i'm cracking up... am i just paranoid? i'm just stoned. I went to shrink to analyze mydreams she says it's lack of sex thats bringing me down.... I went to whore, she said my lifes a bore and quit my whining couse its bringin her down.... grasping to control so you better hold on.

An elven maiden rides up from behind them at a full gallop. Seeing the travellers, she pulls up her galloping horse, Asfaloth, so that she is beside them. There is an expression of fear on her face," Someone...or, rather, something is coming this way.....and fast. I do not know what it is, but this I say to all whom I pass on this road: Make for a safe haven, and quickly." Her voice has a sense of urgency," You speak of a shadow....that may be it. Whatever your quest is, you are not safe in the open, or anywhere between here and Rivendell." Nods her head at the company, " May you find a refuge." She turns her horse, and gallops eastward, as if the Nine Riders were after her.

Wizdom looks back at the road. he feals the shadow coming. "GET OFF THE ROAD!" he shouted at them they all hid behind a tree.

Risana lies with her stomach to the ground, peering over the road. There is a rustle in the bushes and Rogue pokes his head through. He nuzzles her ear. "Whatever it is on the road, all animals are hiding from it as well! Rogue says that no beast can be seen or heard for roughly a mile around!" She pulls her hood over her light hair and inches toward the road in hopes of seeing whatever this "shadow" maybe.

Kantra pulls herself up into a tree. "I can't see anything for certain yet, but a great mist-like shadow is over the road behind." she whispers. Shadow whines and hides his head in the grass. "We are not safe here. We should flee ahead, quickly." He whines. "Too late." Kantra climbs down from the tree. "Whatever it is, we'll have to make a stand here. The shadow now grows. Both behind and ahead. We are trapped. Being brought within the circle." As she stops speaking, the Company hears a terror-filled scream of agony that ends in a death-like silence. Nothing is moving for miles.

Wizdom raises his staff. "Allomaquirchant oghala modor allomaquirchant oghala mordor!" he wispered. "LEAVE THIS PLACE!" he shouted. the shadow parted and left.

Risana looks at Wizdom with new respect. "Good job, but do we know what that was? It may well come back to follow us as we continue our journey. Obviously that is what quieted the forest, but what great power can control birds and beasts in such a way? I fear our way may be harder than we first thought." She bends down to whisper in Rogue's ear and he leaves silently through the underbrush.

"That was very well done indeed, Wizdom, but I should like to know what that shadow was caused by. Does anyone have any ideas? It couldn't be the Nine raised again could it? It was said that they could silence the forest thus, but surely they can't be raised again. Can they? Well we must be more wary now more than ever. We were far too careless to have been trapped like that at all." Kantra pulls out a pipe as she finishes speaking. After filling it up with weed and lighting it with a whisper, the company starts off again. Kantra takes up her place in the rear with Shadow again. She rides on in deep silence.

"Indeed, indeed, These strange goings on affect us, yet this place seems hardly safe. The question shouldn't be when will we find a safe place to speak, but where? The wilderness around Bree has never been a good place for secrets, and it seems that an old evil has taken up residence, perhaps for the first time, perhaps again, or maybe we have awakened it somehow." She rides ahead of the rest peering into the woods and then rounds a corner, gone from sight.

"Well Wizdom? Will you talk when we find a safe enough place? Or how about you, Dain? I want some explainations. I want them soon." Kantra pinches her voice so that only Wizdom and Dain, whom she is between, can hear her. The rest of the company has followed after Risana, but she stops them from following. The look on her face tells them that she means business.

Wizdom I will ask that you my friend will stay to help me keep sanity from....THEM!!!! I was five and my father was in the final battle and saw the nine fighting, he was awstruck, what grace..... He can closer to them and threw his ax at the witch king and the dead hand fell to the ground just after my dad threw the ax the one ring was destroyed and the final words of the nine were "WE SHALL KILL THY SON ON THY HIGH MOON OF MIDSUMMERS EVEEEEEEEEE......." And they disipeared... I now live with a curse and now the burden lies on your heads..... will you help me???

"Dain, you should have told us in the first place." The malice in Kantra's whisper is as clear as venium. She walks up to him and slaps him hard leaving a good bruise. He looks shocked. "But I will stay with you, and complete this journey. What is it that we must do?" "I will stay with you, too, but I wish that Kantra hadn't taken the pleasure of hitting you from me." Risana glares at Wizdom. "I suppose you knew?" ((Eogthea asked me to post her consent to continue on for her.))

"Lothlorien." he stated. He looked around wondering what was happining. "There is something in the air..." he stated in almost a wisper. (ORC) "ATTACK!!!!!" a troop of orcs rushed upon them. wizz drew his sword ready for batle.

Kantra cut off three orc heads with the swing that drew her blade. "I told you waiting around would get us in to trouble. Orcs are no problem, but more is coming. I can feel it." She yelled over the clamour. Shadow leaped at an Orc and ripped at its throat.

They kill the orks and then help dain.
"It is ok..... but then again this is a domeg-rigryharrow. There is almost no hope now. There is no cure within 9,000 miles of here... I am *cough*...oh.... just glad to have saved a fair maiden such as yourself........." he said, then he passed out staring at Adeilya.....

A shadowy figurre comes running in a silver cloak and black leather boots he draws his sword and kills the orc running at
Dain
He unhoods himself and says
"You just cant stay out of trouble can you Dad(If you dont
understand read the Rivendell RPG)?"
It is Nain adopted by Dain
Nain takes the arrow out of his father and gives him a
medicine from his pouch he tells the maiden to stay with
him until he comes to.
He then takes out his Mithrel sword Thorn and tears up 10
oncoming orcs.............

"This company is get far too far off track. *states Kantra. "Did we not set out with a destination? I suggest we keep moving before that shadow we encountered earlier comes back. This will revive Dain. *she throws a leave of Athaelas in to a pouch of water. the aroma arouses Dain. she then passes the pouch around to each person to drink. after a sip of the draught all are revived in spirits. "Now let us continue on our way.

"May I come along with you and assist you in anyway I can? We were not properly introduced...I am Adeilya. I also assume you feel the shadow as I do...? And you think it's the nine, like I do also. I should know...I was raised by their ancestors."
