Orion entered the bar rather warily. How he had been talked into this, he still couldn't figure out. The bar was dim, with a dank, rancid smell about it that made him stop, and almost leave immediately. Yet he forced himself to keep going - he was here for a reason; a very important one. He looked over at the barkeep, who nodded, and smiled, motioning at a table in the back where several odd persons were laughing and drinking. Orion winced. Great... I get every green soldier and young buffoon in the entire region. Most probably aren't passed sixteen... And then there's the other spectrum, the old one. Only one fit man among them. The younger were all half-drunk, telling bawdy jokes and choking on their ale. The eldest was looking rather uncomfortable, and the fifth was just sitting there with a sour look on his face, staring disapprovingly at them. He must be of the same thought I am. Two capable among us. He forced himself to leave where he was standing and wander over to the table. As soon as they saw him, they quickly quieted, and stared at him apprehensively.

"Are we all here?" An immediate chorus of 'no's rang out, with descriptions of others to come. Interesting that there isn't even a chair for me, much less these other people who are coming. He sighed. "I said be here at two. I will only wait ten more minutes, and then we will get on with this meeting. We need to resolve the issue quickly - if we are to move out, we don't want to be caught out at night." He looked around at the others, each of whom was slowly starting to grasp that Orion had much, much more experience than all of them put together. He sighed and leaned back. This was not the kind of mission he prefered... it seemed far too long for his liking.

"They will launch an assault now."

"I know."

"They are meeting."

"I am aware."

"Mother-"

"Do not worry; I know my enemies well enough... And soon, they shall know me, too..."
