Painting of Mount Doom

Here's a link to my blog (http://dbellisart.blogspot.com/) where I've posted a quick study (done in two painting sessions of about 2 to 3 hours each) of Mount Doom in oils. I plan to do several small studies like this as preparation for a larger, more detailed version. I can see several things that could be improved for the next study. Feel free to share any constructive criticism you might have. I'm also working on an oil study of Barad-dur which should be up in the next few days.

A beautiful painting, D. B., I'm definitely looking forward to more Middle-earth related works, though the non-Tolkien items are impressive in their own right as well.
