Well now it is out I thought it would be good to start a thread here so we weren't talking about it in unappropriated places (ie RPG section *looks guilty*).

I thought it was quite good, stuck to the book mostly, in its own way, lets say sh*t. It was good but it started slow and had hardly any action. The scene in the ministry was good but up til there I wasn't enthralled. Then it ended. Where I was seeing it though had a relatively small screen and very uncomfortable seats but then again I got to see it before the majority of the Australian public, going to a night before 'premier'

It wasn't too bad, they took a lot out of the book and rearranged the plot a bit, but it worked ok. Umbridge was exactly how I imagined her, and she's basically the real villain of that book, so that worked out ok. I felt sad there was no quidditch or some of the other school traditions in there though!

The Washington Post gave Order of the Phoenix a really good review. Here is the link if you'd like to check it out. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/07/10/AR2007071000546.html

I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm glad the filmakers whacked the movie down to a mere 2 hours 18 minutes. I thought the book had a lot of superfluous stuff in it that really didn't contribute to the story or the characters.

Yeah I was disappointed about the lack of Quidditch. Isn't it the one where Ron becomes keeper? I was looking forward to that.

I wish I knew what you were all talking about...I was supposed to see it today but got called in to work and everyone else ended up being busy...so now I don't know when I'll see it...but from the way you're talking sounds good.

Oh it was good just not great. Sucks that you got called to work though.

I thought it was pretty good. Though, as Maji says "not great".
