Hehe. Sorry. The 11 year old looks like she could be 16 or so.
That's why I was confused. :)
Tell her I said that. She'll probably be all happy for looking like a teenager! :D
Anyway, it's not that you look to be 11 it's that they look to be 18. :)
Dear Ithrynluin,
:) Thank you! I think so too. :)
Snaga's a very evil orc to send such an evil picture.
Don't you think?

Good idea.
I'll do it for you.

Come here with me. You're not my enemy. And you can hide here.
It's more fun than a box.
*Peeks out from beneath table cloth and grabs Snaga's hand and pulls him under the table with her and Pippin.*

Um...thanks. You're the second person in the history of the world to call me hot. (Snaga is the other..but he's biased.)
Are you sure your glasses are on straight?
Dear Rhiannon,
Don't listen to them...the picture IS a fluke...I cropped it a bit to try to hide my evil fat rolls that make me look pregnant but you can still see them. That's only the beginning.
That pic took major retouching in photoshop...
I should post an ugly pic of me to prove it...
But that might make me cry.
You may think I'm pretty because of the pix I post..but that's cos I don't post the evil ones.
Selective information means selective response.
If you knew me IRL you'd agree.
(Snaga doesn't cos he's all blinded by love or some such nonsense.)
And yes I DO like Italian foods.
All carbs. I get your point.
Yes I know carbs are fattening...Yes I love carby foods.
Oh well.
I've gained 13 pounds in the past 3 months.
That's not healthy.

So I can't revoke your newspaper hat, but I CAN pull of the rope ladder on you (not to self: write long song praising self just in case). <big winka> I won't at this time, but you can't hide from us that you have great bone structure in your face anymore.
I love Italian. I love carbs. Pasta, bread...You know how they say man can not live by bread alone? They are so totally wrong. I could do it.
But you're right, 13 lbs isn't healthy...are you under a lot of stress? Have you maybe talked to a doctor about it? I gain really easily because I have this icky hormone imbalance. I've gained 20 lbs every time we've moved, too. Uck. (Weight Watchers is working for me, albeit really slowly).

Oh...and Morgoth. Those aren't mountains. Those are hills. Little teeny hills.
Cute hills.
But still hills.
THIS is a mountain!!!=====>Mt. Rainier (http://www.users.muohio.edu/mcconnar/images/mt-rainier.jpeg)
Or even this! :)========>Mt. Si (http://geohazards.cr.usgs.gov/wa/lsphotos1/A3-Mt%20Si.jpg)
The first is the famous Mt. Rainier :) It's in Washington.
The second is Mt. Si. About 15 minutes from where I lived all my life. It's in the Cascade Mountain range. It's got a chunk taken out of the top and the legend is (as the native americans told it..if I remember right) that the chunk was taken out of it by one of the thunder gods and set in the sky and became the moon.

Actually, Wonks, in England they are considered mountains. However compared to your superior American mountains, they would be mere foothills. So both of us are right.
Now, now you two- stop making mountains out of molehills....;)

Hee! Well, I just had a whole bag of Kettle Corn (only 3 weight watchers point for the whole thing) and a big glass of chocolate milk (strong bones are important) for lunch (sitting on the floor in my room, too).
And on the subject of mountains: Quartz Mountain in Oklahoma, US is not a mountain. It is a pile of rocks. A little pile of rocks. (I'm glad to be back in the US of A and all that, but I miss the Japanese mountains).
That is all. Though if I get around to it I might post this pic I have of a window advertisement in Singapore. They had the weirdest slogan I've ever seen.

I know! I know!
It's because the Indo-Australian tectonic plate is colliding with the Asian tectonic plate. This is what's forming the Himalayas (Which are still growing as we speak), and therefore Everest.
And yes, there's more to it, but I'm too sleepy to go into too much depth.

Ah, that's where you're wrong - I'm a Ross County fan, I believe we are currently 7th in the Scottish First Division. They're my local team (well, my nearest league team), so that does not make me a hater of good sides. Indeed, I like watching teams like United and Arsenal, they play very good football. But people who live thousands of miles away from Manchester, now that's a problem, it's the Man Utd brand name there. But you're kidding, so that's alright ;)

Your not talking about me are you:rolleyes: come on what am I supposed to do, I live in the U.S. soccer is growing here but our professional level is childs play compared to Man United or Real Madrid. I did not jump on any band waggons I have been a Man United fan for quite along time and have taken some serious slack for it from by my friends(soccer is not exactly huge over here). And what you said about the brand name could not be any more wrong. People have no idea who Man United is, when I sport my jersey people stare at me like "is that a soccer jersey?" Its good stuff, I kinda enjoy it.

lol, No, I was safely inside for most of the time. For a while I was standing under the overhang of our house with Galdor whining about my car and trying to devise a way to swap it out w/ Dads car from the garage; as after the worst of the hail it was just getting rained in.
Today the insurence company said that it was $2500 worth of damage on car. The funny thing is that the car was only worth about $2300 before the storm. So it was basically totalled, except that my deductable was $1000, so we'll get $1500 to fix the windows, which will be plenty. So it won't cost me the $600 I expected it to as of yesterday. lol, I just bet that very few people have their car totalled by hail.

Is it just me, or does Elgee seem different in each photo???
HLGStrider
05-10-2003, 08:48 PM
They are explainable differences. . .
If you consider that I am in costume in a few of these pictures, for instance.
The first one I ever posted (or that Tal posted for me) I am dressed up as little Red Riding Hood with my hair up (which I rarely do in real life). Also, that is a picture from I think 2001.
Other pictures:
The one with me and my family on the tree. That is fairly recent, but I was very tired. I went on a trip and forgot my glasses which I normally wear from about six pm until bed and then from waking up until about nine. . .it was wearing on me, wearing contacts all the time. Also, I had just started parting my hair very oddly.
The one with me and my family on the couch. That's a very accurate picture, Dec. 01.
The one with me as a cat. . .well, you can understand why that would be different.
The one as me as star princess. .. early 01, March, I think. I was wearing very thick stage makeup because I'd just been playing Lady Capulet in a play. Also, my hair had been up all day with a lot of hair spray so the braids sort of made it look curly when I took them out.
The one with me as Princess Audua. . .Aodua? BLAH! The Indian Princess one: That is recent, but I was again wearing excess makeup due to the fact that I am of Sweedish/Irish/Swiss/Scottish/Ducth (Let's just say European) ancestory and I was making an attempt to look like I was from India.
The one where I'm babysitting I am barely wearing any makeup, had gotten rid of my bangs, and it's a lousy photo.
The one called Elgee is Elegant. . .Is also fairly accurate, I can't think of anything that really sets it apart.
The latest is a professional, quality photo, so that always changes things . . .
I bet you didn't expect such a long answer. . .did I miss a photo?

Yikes, I most certainly didn't expect such a long answer!!!

Tee hee. . .
Of course, there is the other explanation about my many secret identies. Today in the park I was Natasha the Russian spy as well as a beautiful, embedded reporter caught in the cross fire of my brother's squirt gun fight (He was in turn Admiral Halsey, Macaurther, and Ethan Hunt. . .with an occassional 007).

Lol, I was just about to say, "finally, a picture of my good political ally, Eliot." :( Oh well!
I'm debating whether or not to post my photo. For some reason I look horrible in photographs if I know they're coming. Perhaps I should hand out the camera to family members and tell them to take pics when I'm not ready or don't see it coming.
(Of course then it might catch me drooling or something! ;) That wouldn't be good!)

Word of advice: DON'T! Get a scanner! That way you can do artwork and pictures with the same purchase (I don't work for the scanner company. . . I just love my beautiful, purple covered scanner). true... and guys wonder at it, I don't know why, but we do. Unwritten rule, most probably :D.
Most of these rules are easily grasped, but the guy has to spend a few years futilely trying to understand them before he can accept them as they are. (yes, all men are suckers in that way).

Beautiful picture, Cel! Be quiet about not being pretty. :) That must be another unspoken comment: A girl sits around and says she isn't pretty while the guys insist she is, and all the other girls tell her to stop saying that she's ugly and admit that she's pretty. Humans are confusing creatures.

I asked my mom to TRIM an inch off before I went to get my hair done for prom. You know, just even it off a little. And what does she do? Does she cut off an inch? Oh, no. She chopped off three and a half inches! (About. It could have been more.)
So I DID NOT cut my hair by choice. Grnt. And now I have to wait for it to grow back.

Scary, Craig. That's what.
I like having long hair, but I get very bad split ends and my hair gets horrible and stringy (thin, fine, very straight, and oily. Blegh), so I'm going to have three or four inches cut off soon- and I've been growing half my bangs out because they were too thick. They're almost long enough to go behind my ears- fortunately my hair grows fast.
But either way, at the moment I look awful.

Yes, and the best thing about Great Danes is that they make BIG puppies (duh). When they are 4 months old, they are larger than most dogs, but they are still very much puppies, in behavior and in "mentality".
In fact, they remain puppies throughout life :D. My dogs only acquired a semblance of wisdom aftter their 5th or 6th year, hehe.

He also sits in Kelly's (the baby's) little riding car, and plays catch with mice. . .I'm not kidding.

He's obviously a cat expert! He he. . .you should see the pictures of him as a skinny little kitty. Ivan goes through terrible weight gain and weight loss cycles. At the moment he's a rail. When that picture was taken he was nice and thick. He was born a skinny little kitty. He got a pot belly at about three months. . .etc.
