Anamatar: You look exactly like I thought you would! Amazing!!!

Actually, yes Nom,Bulgaria is full of beautiful ladies. That is why because of climate and because of our genes. But what is more,I've been in USA and I would say that women there just don't get anything from fashion, while here all women are mad about fashion.

The ironic thing about this statement is that it is quite the opposite here on TTF. Most of the membership is either under the age of 20 or over the age of 30. There is very few of us who actually fall into the 20-30 age bracket...strange but very true.
Also, it is not true that Americans women 'don't get anything from fashion'. Many of us American woman are very much into fashion...and in reality were the very ones who invented the fashions that are so popular throughout the world. Don't underestimate American women. We are fashion innovators here...and that can not be denied.

No, I don`t! There's just a two-day difference between our birthdays. And there's certainly nothing good about being older. When I`ll be 35, you`ll still be 28:D
And, can I ask a question? What`s ferocious??

Hehe, it's not a muzzle, it's a 'halty' - it stops her (suppose to) pulling when we go for walks - hence 'halt' in 'halty'. Alot of people thought that, so we got her the shoulder harness instead.
Nah - no ferociousness - just mad :)- she has 1 blue and 1 brown one and will more likely lick a burglar to death than bite him.
Thanks BlackCaptain, although I have invested in a new pair of sunglasses a couple wks ago.
Cheers Eliot and Beleg.

That's an unfair generalisation. I'm over 30 and I don't want to seem younger. I'm young at heart and can be childlike in my pranks, I have a very progressive outlook on life, but it's not an act for you or anyone else - it's just the way I am.:( And it's great as there isn't a single age group I don't relate and get on well with:D

Indeed, the lovely Idril is right, as usual; most people around here do not want to appear as anything they are not. The lovely Idril, for instance, is a happy 30-something non-smoker, with a nice dog, great kids, a very kind hubby; if I am not mistaken, she lives close to some orcs; and so on.
How can anyone who puts his picture in the Photo Album disguise himself? Even when they try (look at the lovely Idril's picture as a vampire, for instance), their true nature shines through :D
And may it never be said that Eriol does not acknowledge the lovely Idril's loveliness... ;)
My first dog also had a blue and a brown eye... they don't have a smiley for good memories, so I'll have to use this :(.

GASP! NEVER!
Elgee mumbles to herself: Whimpy little ocean. . .Not like my pretty, big, blue Pacific with the wild waves. . .
Rhiannon
07-11-2003, 07:19 AM
I've been in both oceans...only I never can remember which is which. I've been in the Pacific on both sides, though. I like the Asian side of it better than the Hawaiian side.

I like the Oregon part of it. . .very rugged. Very pretty. Very wild. Very foggy. . .and not that good for swimming though we had a shark attack a decade or so ago. Great white took a surfer near Cannon Beach and went CRUNCH!

07-13-2003, 01:01 AM
Well I have to say, the reason I like the Atlantic is because it is not over-publicized, the Pacific is so..............well anyway Oregon look's very pretty though. I love mist and fog and rugged terrain so it would probably suit me just fine.:) Although The real attraction of the ocean is the water, which is definitly more excesible in most places on the Pacific so I don't know............Well how about this, if it make's Elgee happy, I like the Pacific, and if it makes some one alse happy, I like the Atlantic. Hmm where I live there are no hurricanes either so that helps. :D

Has anyone thought of gathering all of the members' pics and putting them together into something of a collage? This was done on a message board that I was a member of a few years ago. I don't know how they went about doing it--working with graphics is not my forte.
Perhaps a poll could be done to see if it is something that interests people. Each member who is interested could choose one foto of themselves to include in the collage.
What do you think?
If this belongs somewhere else, would one of the Moderators please transfer it there? It could be that someone has already had this idea first, and there may be a suitable thread for it. Thank you!

Hmmm.............great pic's everyone! Maybe SOME people should follow my example and only post a few pic's here and there, one at a time. Eghhmm Cough Cough............Well maybe not since it'd reduce the level of fun in getting aggravated at other member's for posting too many double post's. LOL

A lot is a strong word. A little. My doctors and I have sort of found the cause, now we're trying different methods for a cure. :)
My continued absence from the forum is twofold: One is, of course, my illness which continues, but the other is that I am enrolled in summer classes at the local Uni and the time I don't spend resting I spend writing and studying.
I just pulled my first all-nighter since I left Notre Dame, but unlike that endeavor this proved successful and I've finished what I meant to finish. Unfortunately this means I'll be super ill all day, but it's a trade off. I can't let myself flunk English. :)

*Eriol rests smugly on Brazilian nature*
:D
I don't know which one is the more beautiful to say the truth. I like lakes and temperate forests. I think you northern guys beat tropical nature in the "landscape" aspect, in the "scene as seen from an airplane" aspect; but when you look at it up close, there's nothing more astonishing than a good ole tropical forest to walk in.
I'll try to get some better pictures of "my lake"...

Anyway, I'll trade places with you.
Eriol, as for which is prettier: Washington has all the pretty lakes and forests that Oregon has, it's just that Washington has a whole lot more too.
Our state has a desert on one half, and a rainforest on the other! :)
And Japan, I'm sure, is beautiful, but Washington is prettier.
;)

Pakistan contains the Mountain Rangers of Karaqorum [Containing K-2, worlds Second Highest Peak], The Himalayas and Hindu Kush.

Hehe, The thing I am clutching is a plastic shopper bag in which I kept the book I was reading in my earlier picture.
The pic was taken on a road enroute to a Hill Station and their is a cliff drop of about 1000 feet behind the railing on which I am leaning on.

No actually it's been taken right here in my home town. I'll try to get some of the vacation photos on as well...

Not really:D Though it was kinda comfortable in that dress. I wouldn't mind wearing it!
Ithrynluin, you look very much like a friend of mine. It's weird!!! You even stand exactly like him.
And Rhi, Kaili thanks a lot:) It's the last word I'd use to describe myself though:D:D:rolleyes:

I have NO idea Idril...Snaga told me the name of it and I forgot...I just call it Weathertop...
Just like I call Medieval Spahn Street over in Coventry Medieval Spoon Street.
Just like I call Caerphilly cheese Careful cheese.
I don't know why...I just call things by different names. :D
I'll find out though. :)

Uniforms really arent so bad. You dont have to pick out what you want everyday... and it makes it easier. I used to go to public school and I was baffled by how people dressed their best everyday. Crazy!
Rhiannon
09-12-2003, 03:08 AM
Yes, nice picture, Dain! You look very smart (both in the physical and mental senses)
Dáin Ironfoot I
09-12-2003, 04:20 AM
Physically smart? Does that mean I look nerdy? I am a little bit, though, I have the tendency I beat up kids if they make fun of me (usually for being French). ;)
Rhiannon
09-12-2003, 04:33 AM
No no (not that nerdy is a bad thing...I'm a nerd, anyway)- smart as in 'neatly turned out'. ie;
smart Audio pronunciation of smart ( P ) Pronunciation Key (smärt)
adj. smart·er, smart·est
1.
1. Characterized by sharp quick thought; bright. See Synonyms at intelligent.
2. Amusingly clever; witty: a smart quip; a lively, smart conversation.
3. Impertinent; insolent: That's enough of your smart talk.
2. Energetic or quick in movement: a smart pace.
3. Canny and shrewd in dealings with others: a smart negotiator.
4. Fashionable; elegant: a smart suit; a smart restaurant; the smart set.

I suppose it's something of an archaic usage...but, well, I've been on a Jane Austen kick.

I agree.... you do look pretty smart.
I look pretty crazy... that doesnt nescesarily mean I'm a nut (It might:rolleyes: :D ), but you get the pictuer.... I hope

I understood what you mean, Rhia! :) My grandpa uses that word a lot and I think I picked it up from him. :)
I told my sister she looked "quite smart" on her first day of school in her new uniform.
She though I meant intelligent, but I didn't. :D
And may I be the first to say that Anamatar looks NOT AT ALL how I pictured him? :)

And I resemble nothing so much as a medieval bar wench. Or at least a peasant. I'll never be able to pull of the ingenue look, ever.
Wonko The Sane
09-16-2003, 06:30 AM
Hehe...*laughs* Ingenue...that part is overrrated...I've never been able to pull it off either...
So much so that when in call backs for parts in a play (usually the part of some ingenue female lead character) I'd get glossed over...
When I was 14 somebody told me I did a very good Juliet, but that I was too "mature" for her...I didn't have the look for it...
I was so confused...
Course Juilet isn't the true archetypal ingenue isn't she...Hmm...that means I'm a lot less innocent looking than I thought...*sigh*
Rhiannon
09-16-2003, 06:36 AM
Juliet, ugh...*is of the opinion that Romeo and Juliet had it coming on account of being first class morons*
The thing is, ingenue's haven't got hips worth noting, or shoulders, for that matter; while I am broud in hip and shoulder, thick of wrist and ankle, and easily definable as 'stocky'.
Though I can't remember now which pictures of myself I've posted- I may not look it so much in whichever they were.
Wonko The Sane
09-16-2003, 10:08 AM
Hmm...I dunno...I don't tend to agree, but you'll have to show me those pictures again.
And yeah...Romeo and Juilet WERE a bunch of fools.
Still, it's sort of stock in High School drama's to be able to say you played Juliet...*sigh*
They said I didn't look the part though...
Maybe it's cos I have curves...like you said...hips and shoulders...and maybe it's cos I've had fairly well developed "assets" since I was like 12...*sigh*
Maybe THAT'S what "mature" means....
Translation: Your body type is more Marilyn Monroe than Audrey Hepburn....
Or, you're more Maureen O'Hara than Twiggy...
I dunno...not to say I look ANYTHING like Marilyn or Maureen...NO WAY!
Just saying that I'm no waif little princess girl...:)
ANYway, back on topic...yes? :)
I have some pictures of "The Precious" to post. :) My scanner's being **** but I'm going to reboot and see if it does any better.

Try 9. When I was ten people thought I was sixteen, and I looked it. That'll do weird things to your development, especially since my favorite game was Robin Hood- and I was Robin Hood.
