Hahaaaaaaaa!!! Some good news at last! I smell a whiff of a breeze coming out of the Third Age, has that fragrance of The Shire! And McKellen actually tried on a sentence "and found it good!" Let's hope this is the start of the run-up to a done deal! :D:D:D

It was only today that I checked imdb and saw that McKellen was rumoured to be playing that role--I'm so excited. At least we know that one actor will be the same--and such a great actor he is!
