Linyuilë was a Maia who lived in the lake of Nenuial (Evendim) near Annúminas, but other than that I have found no real reference to her other than that of her fickle nature and her relation to the kings of the doomed city? Anyone know about any titles that reference her, or can anyone dazzle me with their knowledge of this powerful fairy figure? Because Google turns up virtually nothing? Anyone know any stories about her, and why she lived in the lake? She's allegedly quite powerful and capricious, sparing or destroying wayward sailors at her whim, maybe not as powerful as Tom Bombadil but still quite a force in her watery realm. Just wondered if there are any resources that tell tales of her? Because what I have is very scant and her character interested me.

I have just had a look in the books and online. It seems that 'Linyuilë' is a character from a Role-playing game. I found no mention of this name in any of Tolkien's books.

Such information as I could find is To be found here (http://www.gotthammer.com/Entmoot/chronicles-timeline01.htm)

I too have stumbled on that page, and I think it's fairly obvious that this is somebody's RPG character and, as such, this thread should be moved somewhere else (RPG section, most likely).

See that's where I read it and I wondered if it was based on actual Tolkein source material as it's very much in the style, obviously not though. Well thanks anyway.

It's not a character it's a figure of legend btw^^. I take it that's what you mean by somebody's character.
